Double Firing Reveals the Top Two Contestants on 'Celebrity Apprentice' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted May 16th 2011 4:14AM
Final Four, 'Celebrity Apprentice'In the penultimate episode of 'Celebrity Apprentice' (Sun., 9PM ET on NBC), four would become the final two. To help him make this tough decision, Donald Trump brought back three recent winners.

Joan Rivers, Piers Morgan and Bret Michaels assisted by interviewing the final four and served as advisors to Trump in his biggest decision yet. In fact, he did the firings before the challenge, based almost entirely on their tips.

A key moment for one of this week's eliminated contestants in the interviews came when asked about who would make it into the finale.

"My three winners hated your answer when they asked you who should be in the finals and you didn't say yourself," Trump told this person before firing them. Who didn't believe in themself?

Star Jones and Meat Loaf Fight, Second Elimination on 'Celebrity Apprentice' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted May 9th 2011 2:19AM
Team A.S.A.P., 'Celebrity Apprentice'It was a long night of 'Celebrity Apprentice' (Sun., 8PM ET on NBC). It looks like they basically smashed two episodes together into three hours, complete with two challenges for the teams and two Boardroom eliminations.

But, before they even got into any of it, Trump mixed up the teams to separate NeNe Leakes and Star Jones. Team Backbone, which had just picked up LaToya Jackson last week, got Leakes, while Team A.S.A.P. picked up Meat Loaf.

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

Unfortunately, the new team roster on A.S.A.P. did little to stop the constant bickering. Only now, instead of NeNe and Star going at each other, it was Meat Loaf and Star.

Meat Loaf Reveals a New Song with His 'Celebrity Apprentice' Team (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 20th 2011 3:35AM
Meat Loaf, 'Celebrity Apprentice'You never know where a musical collaboration might be born. Most people probably wouldn't guess that it would find its genesis on a show with Donald Trump. But that's exactly what's happened on this season's 'Celebrity Apprentice.' On 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS), Meat Loaf offered a sneak preview of the track.

It's a collaboration between him, his two fellow finalists on the men's side (Lil Jon and John Rich), and the already eliminated Mark McGrath. This is what happens when you force a bunch of musicians to hang out together.

What's fun about it is the diverse musical backgrounds and fields they're bringing into this joint number, called 'Standing in the Storm.' "It's kind of a rock/country/hip-hop thing," Meat Loaf said. "It's very interesting."

'The Celebrity Apprentice' Season 4, Episode 7 Recap

by Katy Kroll, posted Apr 18th 2011 5:45AM
['The Celebrity Apprentice' - 'Raising the Steaks']

Last week, two players went into 'The Celebrity Apprentice' boardroom and only one came out -- the wrong one.

Donald Trump's firing of Mark McGrath over Gary Busey left the men's team reeling over the fact they'd have to work with the wild card actor once again.

When Gary emerged victorious from the boardroom, his teammates looked defeated. The women, on the other hand, were ecstatic because they saw the strife creating an easy win for them. And they were right ...

Did Donald Trump Finally Put Meat Loaf Out of His Misery on 'Celebrity Apprentice'? (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 18th 2011 2:57AM
Donald Trump, 'Celebrity Apprentice'It's been no secret that Meat Loaf has been struggling with various aspects of his time on 'Celebrity Apprentice' (Sun., 9PM on NBC). But the greatest source of frustration for him has been Gary Busey.

Almost from the beginning, the two of them have not gotten along. It even culminated in a largely undeserved and disturbing expletive-filled freak-out by Meat Loaf toward Busey over art supplies.

This week, Busey was the project manager for team Backbone in a 20-minute live cooking demonstration. Could Backbone pull it together and stop their losing skid at two weeks in a row, or was it back to the Boardroom?

Gary Busey Relives Meat Loaf's 'Celebrity Apprentice' Explosion (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 8th 2011 3:01AM
Gary Busey, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' talking 'Celebrity Apprentice'Gary Busey didn't offer any new insight into the now-infamous Meat Loaf meltdown on 'Celebrity Apprentice' with his appearance on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). What he did bring, though, was a delightful interpretation of what happened.

In his recapping of the events that set the Internet ablaze this past Sunday night, he went from the calm demeanor he displayed throughout the ordeal to Meat Loaf's explosive craziness in a split second. Back and forth several times, it was a virtuoso performance.

"Any show where Gary Busey is the voice of reason I find fascinating," Leno said.

Meat Loaf's Epic Meltdown Toward Gary Busey on 'Celebrity Apprentice' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 4th 2011 12:40AM
Meat Loaf, 'Celebrity Apprentice'Hey, Gary Busey. Bet you didn't see that one coming, did you? Neither did anyone else, but Meat Loaf certainly had the mother of all meltdowns on 'Celebrity Apprentice' (Sun., 9PM ET on NBC) this week. And it was all over art supplies.

See, when you can't find your art supplies, you have two options. You can either start looking around for them and asking if anyone's seen them, or you can do what Meat Loaf did.

When he started pacing and cursing no one had any idea what was going on. When asked what the matter was a few times, he finally responded. "I bought those motherf****** sponges!"

Gary Busey Is Terrifying in the First 'Celebrity Apprentice' Promo

by Jean Bentley, posted Jan 12th 2011 11:15AM
Gary Busey, Celebrity ApprenticeIn this first promo for the upcoming season of 'Celebrity Apprentice,' this year's gang of unlikely star contestants tell a dude in a suit (what, The Donald was busy?) why they're qualified to be the next champion.

Let's just say their answers probably wouldn't get them a business-related job anywhere else other than an NBC reality show -- LaToya Jackson's "I'm an entrepreneur, and a Jackson" and Nene Leakes' "When I walk into a room, I own it" aren't actual things you can put on your resume. Jose Canseco's menacing bat swing and Gary Busey's terrifying gaze might get me to think twice, though.

MTV plans remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show

by Allison Waldman, posted Aug 15th 2008 12:01PM
Tim Curry Rocky HorrorGenerally speaking, I'm not an anti-remake person. There are times when a remake is perfectly acceptable and oftentimes can improve upon the best of the original, like Battlestar Galactica, for instance. However -- you knew that was coming, didn't you? -- this remake just sounds like a disaster in the making. MTV is going to turn The Rocky Horror Picture Show into a TV movie. They will take the 1975 cult classic sci-fi, horror musical spoof and give it a 2008 spin.

Oh, please! You cannot strike lightning twice. Rocky Horror was a phenomenon. It was a cult classic because the people who found and supported the movie in all those midnight movie showings felt like they were part of a "with it" crowd. It was like we had all found a diamond in the rough, a film that Hollywood just didn't get. How can MTV possibly think they'll recapture that zeitgeist in a TV movie?

Fergie headlines New Year's Rockin' Eve 2007

by Joel Keller, posted Nov 28th 2006 7:32PM
FergieMan, this year's going fast, isn't it? It seems like just yesterday we were all speculating on how well Dick Clark did on New Year's Rockin' Eve 2006, his first public appearance since his stroke. Now, ABC is announcing the lineup for New Year's Rockin' Eve 2007, which Clark will co-host with New Dick Clark, otherwise known as Ryan Seacrest.

The biggest name joining the lineup is Fergie, singer for the Black Eyed Peas, who currently has a hit solo album. Her song "Supersonic" (er, I mean "Fergalicious"... those songs sound so much alike, I get confused) is also burning up the Billboard charts. She'll perform as well as introduce performances by Meat Loaf, Natasha Bedingfield, and Latin sensation RBD.

The fact that I'm even aware that the song "Fergalicious" exists is proof of how it has permeated everyone's existence (I'm not a big hip-hop fan). Looks like Clark is playing the hot hand, as usual. Not bad for a seventy-seven year old guy who can barely speak anymore.
