In the new video, Mullally plays Peggy Dvorak, the owner/headmistress of an institute that acts as an "in-patient" facility for actresses to learn how to be cooler. As if the likes of Plaza, Wilson and Caplan needed help getting cooler.

Exclusive: Megan Mullally and Casey Wilson Tease 'Happy Endings' Mother-Daughter Musical Number (VIDEO)

by Laura Prudom, posted Oct 11th 2011 11:35AM
Casey Wilson and Megan MullallyEvery now and then, a show pulls off a piece of familial casting so genius, so unavoidably obvious, that you may actually forget that the actors aren't related while you're watching. Such is the case with this week's 'Happy Endings,' which sees comedic whirlwind Megan Mullally guest star as Casey Wilson's perky mom, Dana.

"I say we're like the 'Gilmore Girls,' but we're better because we came first," Wilson enthused when a group of journalists caught up with her and Mullally on set.

"They wrote me a really amazing part," Mullally said. "She is just a very optimistic lady. And when Penny was a kid, they used to have a singing duo called 'Two Hartz Beat as One.'"

The mom and daughter double-act is an integral part of the episode, leading up to a musical number that ... may not exactly put 'Glee' to shame, but will almost certainly leave you crying with laughter. Not only was AOL TV on hand while Mullally was filming, we also scored an exclusive preview of the ladies strutting their vocal stuff to whet your appetite for the real thing. We don't think we're being hyperbolic when we say that it's entirely a-mah-zing.

Megan Mullally On Her 'Super Gross' 'Childrens Hospital' Character (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 25th 2011 6:30PM
Megan Mullaly as Chief on 'Children's Hospital' on 'The Talk'Megan Mullally has played a lot of perky, attractive TV characters in her career. That's not quite the case on the Adult Swim show 'Childrens Hospital,' a medical drama parody. Mullally called her character, Chief, "super gross" on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS), and said that playing that kind of role is "freeing."

Mullally described 'Childrens Hospital' as "an absurdist satire" of one-hour medical shows, "where all the beautiful doctors are like, having sex in the supply closet." Chief is one of those doctors. "She's super gross," said Mullally. "And she's supposed to be. She's super gross but everybody wants her, is the joke." That includes, she said, "men, women, everybody."

The freeing part? "It takes me like ten minutes to get ready," she said. "I wear no makeup, I have a traveling mole, I walk on a walker, I have a hunchback, and I wear a man's wig that I bought on Hollywood Boulevard." She sounds pretty sweet to us.

Oprah's Daytime Domination: 13 Talk Shows That Died During Her 25-Year Reign

by Jean Bentley, posted May 24th 2011 11:00AM
Oprah WinfreyOprah Winfrey has managed to stay on the air for a nearly unrivaled 25 years while keeping her show current and fresh. How? That's a mystery we mere mortals may never understand.

But there were several stars who attempted to duplicate the big O's success over the years, all starting with the naming standard no future host would dare to change: 'The [Insert Name of Host] Show.'

Though many managed to last more than a decade each (persistence paid off for Montel Williams, Ricki Lake, Geraldo Rivera and Jenny Jones), no other talk show host has made it to the quarter century mark.

To show you just how big a feat Oprah has accomplished, here's a list of 13 daytime talk shows that came and went during Oprah's tenure, a feature which could also be called Talk Shows that Oprah Killed.

'Childrens Hospital' Season 3 Premiere

They don't have any trailers or clips that I can share with you yet, but I do have scoop on the episodes, including some fun guest stars, and a few exclusive photos.

The season kicks off with 'Run Dr. Lola Spratt, Run.' Unfortunately some dumb kid chose the weekend to sink in some crazy quicksand, and we all know doctors don't work on the weekends. So, Sy (Henry Winkler) has to get the gang back together for the case.
