Craig Ferguson Talks Michael Sheen's Privates on 'Late Late Show' (VIDEO)

Craig Ferguson Talks Michael Sheen's PrivatesMichael Sheen's face is most recognized for playing Tony Blair in 'The Queen' and David Frost in 'Frost/Nixon.' But other parts of him have received considerable screen-time as well.

When Sheen appeared on 'The Late Late Show' (weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS), fellow Briton Craig Ferguson noted, "Last time you were here, I watched the biopic you did of the British comedian Kenneth Williams ... It is a fantastic performance. May I say, though, we see -- and this will set the DVD sales through the roof -- a fair amount of your penis in that movie."

But that's not the only celluloid exposure his nether regions have received. As Sheen explained, a scene in the film 'Dirty Filthy Love' -- "It's not porn!" he said -- led to an awkward rant from his 11-year-old daughter.

A Life Decision for Liz on '30 Rock' (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted May 14th 2010 7:06AM
Life Decision for Liz on '30 Rock'Throughout the four seasons of '30 Rock' (Thu., 9:30PM ET on NBC), Liz hasn't met one good, normal, datable guy (that she wasn't related to). When Wesley says he'll be her date to Floyd's wedding, she swears she can find someone better.

[Spoiler alert.]

On the cusp of victory, Liz's potential wedding date tells her, "I belong to a group of like-minded people who dress up in mascot costumes and have orgies in hotel rooms and state parks."

Cut to Liz returning to Wesley and dropping a bombshell: "OK, fine. Let's get married." At least he doesn't still use a pager.

Preview: Dennis Quaid as Bill Clinton in 'The Special Relationship' (VIDEO)

by Chris Harnick, posted May 13th 2010 12:40PM
Dennis Quaid as Bill ClintonDennis Quaid is looking very presidential in this just-released preview of 'The Special Relationship,' a new HBO movie in which he plays former President Bill Clinton.

Quaid reportedly packed on the pounds by hitting McDonald's every day to play President Bill Clinton in HBO's new flick 'The Special Relationship.'

NY Mag's Vulture blog pointed us in the direction of this brief clip for the TV movie, about the relationship between Clinton and Britain's former Prime Minister Tony Blair (Michael Sheen). The film also stars Hope Davis as Hillary Clinton and Helen McCroy as Cherie Blair.

'The Special Relationship' airs Sat., May 29 at 9PM on HBO.

'30 Rock' - 'Don Geiss, America, and Hope' Recap

by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 19th 2010 12:28AM
30 Rock
(S04E15) "This is an exciting time for NBC. Not 'Friends,' 'Seinfeld,' 'ER' exciting, more like 3-D episodes of 'Merlin' exciting.' - Jack

I wonder if NBC killed off Don Geiss (that's him in the Han Solo-like cryogenic freeze thing above - another 'Star Wars' reference) because of Rip Torn's real-life problems? Sure, this episode was probably filmed before his latest escapade, but similar things had happened in the past, and maybe they didn't want to have to have him come back on the show now and then. Then again, Geiss had a lot of health problems in the past and almost died once already, so maybe his death was already in the works. And it certainly works as a sign that things are changing at NBC now that GE has sold it to Kabletown.

'30 Rock' - 'Future Husband' Recap

30 Rock
(S04E14) "How could a company from Philly buy a company from New York? That would be like Vietnam defeating the United States in a ground war." - Jack, about Kabletown

A week without '30 Rock' is like a week without happiness, and we've gone through a few weeks without my favorite Thursday night comedy so it's really fantastic to have the show back in all of it's laugh-out-loud loopiness. The Olympics interrupted it for a while, and I truly laughed out loud when Liz just moved her mouth, saying nothing, and then Tina Fey said something about Lindsey Vonn winning a gold medal over it because they didn't know what the results were when it was filmed. That will be remembered as one of the funniest bits of the season I'm sure.

But wait ... what happened to Don Geiss??

Is the Clinton/Blair relationship really the Clinton movie people want to see?

by Jason Hughes, posted Mar 25th 2009 6:00PM
Bill Clinton & Tony BlairWe all have tremendous respect for you, Frost/Nixon writer Peter Morgan (yes, that is what I call him when we're hanging out drinking espressos and doing the crosswords), but do you really think the Clinton story America is just dying to see dramatized is the relationship between former president Bill and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair? Unless "The Special Relationship," as they're calling it, involves a special blue suit Mr. Blair kept for no explainable reason without cleaning it, I think there's better Clinton dramatics to be had.

Even if you don't go with the most sensational stories, there is a certain historic Presidential campaign. Hell, tell both stories from her perspective, that should be fun. Casting, should HBO greenlight the film, has Dennis Quaid playing Bill, Julianne Moore taking on the current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Michael Sheen (who played Frost in the aforementioned Frost/Nixon) playing Tony Blair. This would be his third film appearance as Blair, which makes you wonder if more people think Blair looks like Sheen than Blair.

Would you watch an Underworld TV series?

by Mike Moody, posted Jan 27th 2009 5:03PM
underworld 3 rise of the lycans nighyI'll admit it. I'm an Underworld apologist. I know that all three Underworld movies are flashy, derivative and have little to offer in terms of story, suspense or character, but I still love 'em. I caught Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans yesterday and, save for one of the dumbest sex scenes ever filmed, it was pretty awesome. Michael Sheen was great as a mutant Che Guevara, Bill Nighy's over the top, er, vamping was exceedingly watchable, and director Patrick Tatopoulos really knows how to film dudes shoving swords into other dudes' faces. It was six bucks well spent.

The Underworld movies always leave me wanting more – perhaps because they all hint at a great story but never really deliver it – and more is what we might get. Franchise creator Len Wiseman is dropping hints about a possible Underworld TV series. No deal is in place yet, but I can see Spike or even Sci Fi showing interest in the idea.
