Robin Williams, 'The Graham Norton Show'Propofol was the powerful drug that was administered to Michael Jackson before his death, and helped lead to the manslaughter charge against his doctor, Conrad Murray. On 'The Graham Norton Show' (Sat., 10PM ET on BBC America), Robin Williams talked about the power of the drug and his own experiences with it.

Put quite simply, Williams was on Propofol during heart surgery, giving a pretty clear indication of its strength. "It's a devastatingly powerful drug that has to be administered in a hospital situation, and he was doing it at home," Williams said of Jackson.

by Catherine Lawson, posted Nov 8th 2011 7:15AM
Nancy Grace, 'DWTS'Last night Nancy Grace had more on her mind than just her low scores on 'Dancing With the Stars.' Talking to reporters backstage afterward she was more preoccupied with the guilty verdict that had been handed down to Conrad Murray just a few hours before. And, being Nancy Grace, she had a zinger or two to let us know how she really feels about it.

"Well, once I found out it was a guilty verdict that's really all I needed to know," she told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "I only wish it had been murder one, because murder one deserves life behind bars, not four years."

Discussing Murray's future prospects, Grace told 'THR': "When he gets out, I got news for him ... God's gonna get him. He's gonna be mis-er-able. He can run but he can't hide. Hey! He and Casey Anthony can have a tea party in four years."

Brett Ratner Tells Kimmel About Playing Pranks With Michael Jackson (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Oct 27th 2011 8:25AM
Brett Ratner, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'Director Brett Ratner stopped by 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights., 12AM ET on ABC) and reminisced about his friendship with Michael Jackson. They were such good buddies that Ratner even stayed in "The Elizabeth Taylor Suite" at Jackson's house when Taylor wasn't there.

They met when Ratner was making the first 'Rush Hour' movie and he says all the King of Pop wanted to do was play practical jokes on people. One night the pair went for a drive around Santa Barbara in Jackson's enormous stretch limo and they got their kicks by throwing water balloons out the window.

Unfortunately for a homeless guy who just happened to be walking by, Jackson had a good arm and hit him with a water balloon before driving off. Fortunately for Jackson, he was wearing a Hulk mask so his victim never knew who'd soaked him. Until maybe now, that is ...

La Toya JAckson talks about her Michael Jackson conspiracy theory on 'The View'Dr. Conrad Murray is currently awaiting trial on involuntary manslaughter charges stemming from Michael Jackson's fatal propofol overdose. According to Jackson's sister La Toya Thursday on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC), that's just the tip of the conspiracy theory iceberg. La Toya believes there was a conspiracy to kill Michael and take his publishing royalties, and added that she knew more, but didn't want to reveal it just yet.

La Toya recounted conversations she had with Michael during which he told her people were out to murder him. "He told me over and over and over," said La Toya. "When he first told me, 'La Toya, they're going to kill me,' I said, 'Who Michael?' You're Michael Jackson. No one in their right mind would ever think of doing something like this to you. That's what you think. He says, 'No, but you don't understand.' And then I saw how serious he was."

The Full Video for the 'We Are the World' Remake

by Kona Gallagher, posted Feb 13th 2010 4:02PM
we are the world remake michael jackson
The original 'We Are the World' was recorded almost exactly 25 years ago to benefit the charity, USA for Africa. Recently, 80 stars got together, including co-writer Lionel Richie and producer Quincy Jones, to remake the classic song to help with Haiti relief efforts. The video was supposed to debut last night during the Olympic opening ceremonies, but they just showed an excerpt. We have the full video here.

It's nice to see some of the same people involved in making the first video in the remake, but this version is populated by mostly new faces including Jennifer Hudson, Josh Groban, Wyclef Jean, and Kanye West, among many others. In fact, there were so many artists featured in this video, that I didn't even recognize them all. The new version is about a full minute longer than the original, and the real question is, how does it stack up?

'We Are the World' Remake For Haiti Premieres on NBC Tonight

by Allison Waldman, posted Feb 12th 2010 3:03PM
we_are_the_world_25_haiti_logoWhen the original 'We Are the World' was created 25 years ago, the music video of the final performance was put together in record time. Over a month of work went into the production. For the remake of the song, which brought together the likes of Pink, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, the Black Eyed Peas, Tony Bennett, Jeff Bridges, Bono, Justin Beiber... and more, the video, which was filmed in 3-D, was completed in about a week. Tonight, 'We Are the World 25' will have its world premiere at 7:30 p.m. (ET) on NBC during the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

This isn't just an entertainment we'll be seeing, although it's going to be something to watch how 80 stars were crammed together into a cohesive, musical chorus as spectacular as the original 'We Are the World' 25 years ago. No, this is also a call for donations because there is still a lot of work to be done in Haiti.

Mario Cantone Slams 3-D Tribute to Michael Jackson on Grammys (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Feb 1st 2010 3:00PM
We've never had much of a desire to see actor/comedian Mario Cantone close up, but, thanks to 'The View' (weekdays, 11AM ET on ABC), we now can. Cantone appeared on the daytime talk show this morning and slammed the 3-D tribute to Michael Jackson on last night's 52 Annual Grammy Awards, taking exception to the quality of the tribute and providing low-rent 3-D special effects of his own.

"Note to CBS: This is the Grammy Awards, not 'Avatar,' and there are 14 people who got the glasses. For those of us that didn't, it was not 3-D, it was blurry, very blurry ... It was not good," Cantone said, pressing his face against the camera again and again to illustrate his point.
