On the 'DWTS' Scene: It's a No-Win Situation for Mike Sorrentino
by Michael Maloney, posted Oct 13th 2010 1:00PM
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino was voted off 'Dancing With the Stars' last night, but a situation kept him from talking to TV Squad on the post-show press line. The ejected celebrity had a neck injury and was being examined in his trailer by a doctor after taping. The 'Jersey Shore' star's fellow contestants and pro partner Karina Smirnoff weighed in on The Situation's four-week run on the reality competition series.
"After last night's performance [when we earned 28 out of 60 points], I totally thought it was going to be us," Smirnoff said. "The scores were low and the remarks weren't encouraging. It's okay. I had fun and I got to meet the real Mike."
Vinny on 'Jersey Shore': The Situation Is Obsessed with Me (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Oct 8th 2010 9:15AM
Is The Situation obsessed with Vinny? Vinny thinks so. Or does he just want his girl Ramona? While Vinny's in the bathroom at a club, The Situation (Mike Sorrentino) "pulls a little of the robbery" (says Pauly D) on Ramona, flirting with her and dissing her man."I'm worried," says Vinny on 'Jersey Shore' (Thu., 10PM ET on MTV). "He's always hooking up with the same girls I'm hooking up with -- happened in Jersey. It's happening out here. Mike might have a secret possible obsession with me."
But Ramona rebuffs Mike, and he scowls in a corner, glaring at the dancing couple and throwing his cocktail straw in frustration. He then approaches Snooki for some physical attention. That goes... badly.

Most of Angelina's housemates already don't appreciate her mere presence in the house. It seems that a situation is happening. Mike Sorrentino -- now and forevermore known as "The Situation" -- has been having a rough first week on 'Dancing With the Stars.' He landed in a three-way tie for last place, and even though David Hasselhoff was the first contestant kicked off the show, Mike could be the next one eliminated. On 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 11PM ET on TBS), Sorrentino and his partner Karina Smirnoff showed up to discuss 'DWTS.' And Karina admitted that even she had her doubts about being paired up with the 'Jersey Shore' ab-master. "I'll be honest; when I heard Mike was my partner, I kind of freaked out," she said.
On the Scene: Jennifer Grey Remembers Patrick Swayze on 'Dancing With the Stars'
by Michael Maloney, posted Sep 21st 2010 11:20AM

The first night jitters are officially out of the way. Twelve stars and their celebrity pro partners took to the dance floor and performed either a Cha-Cha or a Viennese Waltz on the 'Dancing With the Stars' season 11 opening night show. Actress Jennifer Grey, singer Brandy Norwood and athletes Rick Fox and Kurt Warner performed well -- as expected -- but the surprise of the night was teen actor Kyle Massey, who brought to mind a young Warren Sapp (Kym Johnson's season 7 partner) when he performed a dynamite dance with Lacey Schwimmer.
TV Squad was on the post-show press line to get reactions from all 24 participants. For one unlucky couple, alas, it's their second-to-last interview, because tonight one duo is going home.
The Situation Isn't So Bad on 'Dancing with the Stars' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 21st 2010 4:00AM
We're pretty sure no one is ready to award the 'Dancing with the Stars' (Mon. 8PM on ABC) trophy to Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino based on his first performance with professional partner Karina Smirnoff. But the judges seemed surprised by the reality star's potential, or that he had any."I'm in an awkward situation, Situation," said Len Goodman. "Because the thing is, I think you've got potential. You're young, you're fit. You've got every requirement to be a good dancer."
When The Situation got up to his usual 'Jersey Shore' antics, complimenting Len's shirt, Bruno Tonioli called him on it. "You're going to look like a jack*** if you carry on like that," he warned.

Are we getting tired of seeing 'Jersey Shore' stars show up on talk shows yet? No? Not yet? Well, that's good. Because Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino was a guest on 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). And while on the show, The Situation discussed his appearance on the upcoming season of 'Dancing With the Stars.'Although Mike may not be a classically trained dancer, he does have some background in dance (sort of). The Situation revealed to Jay Leno that he used to work in a strip club. "Were you a male stripper?" Leno asked him. "Not necessarily," Mike replied. Not necessarily? It seems to us that you're either a stripper or you're not -- there's not much in-between there. But Sorrentino went on to explain further.

It looks like it, and he may be joined by 'The Hills' star Audrina Patridge and singer Brandy Norwood.According to OK! magazine and the Los Angeles Times, the 'Jersey Shore' star will be showing off his abs on ABC's dancing competition this fall.
