'Misfits' Season 3 Exclusive: Cast Talks Coming to America

by Crystal Bell, posted Nov 29th 2011 4:00PM
misfits season 3 hulu exclusive Rejoice, 'Misfits' fans! As previously reported, the quirky, foul-mouthed UK teen dramedy is coming back to America exclusively on Hulu for Season 3.

At the end of Season 2, our favorite teen anti-heros were left powerless, but it definitely won't stay that way for long. Kelly (Lauren Socha), Curtis (Nathan Stewart-Jarrett), Alisha (Antonia Thomas) and Simon (Iwan Rheon) have all-new powers, which means that there will be some serious adjusting. And new blood.

After the departure of fan-favorite Nathan (Robert Sheehan), we wondered who could possible step in and fill out that advantageous orange jumpsuit. Enter Rudy, played by actor Joe Gilgun. Think of him as one part Nathan and one part painfully shy Simon circa Season 1, and we have to admit, he fits in with the 'Misfits' quite well.

In this exclusive behind-the-scenes clip, the young cast talks about 'Misfits' coming to America, and how they hope the US will embrace the show just as much as the UK has done.

It was only a matter of time before 'Misfits' attracted the attention of American TV movers and shakers.

According to Vulture, Josh Schwartz, the teen angst maven who gave audiences 'The OC' and 'Gossip Girl,' is working on an American version of the wildly popular British series about young adults with superpowers.

'Misfits' isn't totally unfamiliar to US audiences, the first two seasons of the hit E4 show made their way to Hulu this summer and have been viewed by millions.

Before you start thinking of every other failed US adaptation of a British show ('Life on Mars,' 'Skins), know this: 'Misfits' creator Howard Overman is reportedly working with Schwartz to pen the American version. There's no network attached yet and Schwartz and Overman plan to write the script on spec.

5 Reasons to Check Out 'Misfits' on Hulu

by Chris Harnick, posted Jun 15th 2011 4:15PM
Fans of good TV take note! 'Misfits' is coming to Hulu. Why does this matter to you? Because you need to see this show before some American network buys it and puts its own (probably terrible) spin on it. Nothing says great TV like hormonal, smart alec teenagers with super abilities, and that's the premise behind the BAFTA award-winning UK series.

Suddenly your summer got much more exciting.

Sneak Peek: Misfits

by Bob Sassone, posted Nov 12th 2009 4:29PM
So Heroes is probably on its way out this season or next, so how about a new series where a group of people find themselves with super powers?

Misfits is a British show about a group of teens who are struck by lightning and find they can do incredible things, including turn invisible, hear people's thoughts, control time (of course!), and send people into a sexual frenzy. Wow, all this time I've had a superpower and I didn't even know it (I'm talking about hearing people's thoughts). Here's a sneak peek, though it doesn't show that much. It premieres tonight at 8 on E4. It's Heroes + swearing!
