(S07E17) Oh my my... have we seen the future of 'Two and a Half Men' and it's Alan and Charlie sitting on a couch vegetating, bickering and grateful to have each other to clean up their dribble? Maybe. And if you think Charlie's gotten over Chelsea, think again. Evelyn might want to hang on to the banquet hall at the Beverly Hills Hotel. More on that and the dancing Japanese Kabuki transsexuals after the jump.
Sadly, "Mr. Monk and the Miracle" was a sub-standard episode and hardly worth the moniker of "special." The mystery was rather simple -- about the most complicated piece of evidence was the hand print in the refrigerator -- and when Michael Badalucco (The Practice) appeared as Leland's pharmacist, you kind of knew he was involved in some way. Yet while the show wasn't up to the best of Monk standards, it did have a moment or two to redeem it.
Grant actually named the Fu-Manchu moustache, Sebastian. "[It'd] gotten out of control. The moment they called wrap on the last episode, I shaved it off," he told the New York Times. "I feel like myself again. People who didn't know me looked at me like, 'What the hell are you doing?' I was at a restaurant the other day, and a woman asked me if I was a porn star."
Reports are circulating that producers of the film adaptation of Magnum P.I. have their sights set on Ben Affleck to take on the title role.
The 1980s series starred Tom Selleck as a private investigator who worked in Hawaii. It had been known for some time that Selleck himself wanted to reprise the role in a feature adaptation but it's common knowledge that Selleck is way too old to be as cool as he was in 1983. Supposedly, Hollywood big-wig Brian Grazer is behind the remake.
At right is an artist's rendering of what Affleck may look like with Selleck's moustache.
