Robert Pattinson Celebrates 'MTV Movie Award' Win by Kissing Taylor Lautner (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 6th 2011 3:45AM
Last year, when Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart took home the popcorn bucket for Best Kiss, they recreated the kiss on stage. It's kind of a tradition for the award. But when they repeated the win this year on the '2011 MTV Movie Awards' (Sun., 9PM ET on MTV), Pattinson had a different idea.

"I feel bad, 'cause I don't feel like kissing you," Pattinson told Stewart upon accepting the award.

"I think maybe we should finally go for it," Stewart said, but Pattinson was adamant.

"There's someone else in the audience that I just think will appreciate it a little better," Pattinson said before dashing off-stage and planting a big kiss on Taylor Lautner.

'MTV Movie Awards': Jason Sudeikis Slams Schwarzenegger, List of Winners (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 6th 2011 3:26AM
Jason Sudeikis, '2011 MTV Movie Awards'When Jason Sudeikis hit the west coast to host the '2011 MTV Movie Awards' (Sun., 9PM ET on MTV), he was clearly inspired by the former Governor of California. His opening monologue was chock-full of jokes about Arnold Schwarzenegger, though not all of them were home runs with the Hollywood crowd.

"For the first time in the history of the MTV Movie Awards, the entire balcony has been fathered by Arnold Schwarzenegger," he told the crowd to a middling response. Are they defensive of their former governor?

Sudeikis took a page from the Ricky Gervais hosting playbook, with digs across the Hollywood spectrum and, like Gervais, not all of them were particularly well-received. Luckily for Sudeikis, most of his targets weren't in the audience.

Justin Bieber, '2011 MTV Movie Awards'With the award for Jaw-Dropping Moment, the '2011 MTV Movie Awards' (Sun., 9PM ET on MTV) provided another jaw-dropping moment. The winner of the award was Justin Bieber, but it was announced that he couldn't be there to accept it.

According to Aziz Ansari, Bieber was "boning a huge pile of cash in a private jet while he's Skyping with Jaden Smith and Selena Gomez."

Instead, Bieber came onstage in a surprise appearance. "I couldn't let down my fans," he said above the roar of excitement from the audience. It was a fun moment for the fans, and kept the streak alive of every winner being in attendance.

'MTV Movie Awards': Robert Pattinson Drops F-Bomb Honoring Reese Witherspoon (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 6th 2011 2:30AM
Robert Pattinson, '2011 MTV Movie Awards'The censors were kept pretty busy during the '2011 MTV Movie Awards' (Sun., 9PM ET on MTV), but apparently Robert Pattinson was too fast for them. In presenting the MTV Generation Award to Reese Witherspoon, Pattinson revealed that his teleprompter said for him to ad-lib, so he awkwardly worked from hand-written notes.

Then, he tried to tell a joke relating to the fact that he played Reese Witherspoon's child in a movie seven years ago, and has now gone on to share a love scene with her. "I did f*** you," he said, and the censor was asleep at the wheel, letting the f-bomb fly across the airwaves.

Jason SudeikisJason Sudeikis' next hosting gig is a little bigger than the '80s sportscaster he plays on 'Saturday Night Live.'

The 'SNL'-er has been tapped to host the MTV Movie Awards from Los Angeles on June 5.

"I'm sincerely flattered that the folks from the Mostly Teenage Viewers network have invited me to host this year, and I look forward to keeping the streak of flawless and critically lauded movie awards show hosting in 2011 alive," Sudeikis told MTV News of his new gig.

Ken Jeong Overshares About Pubic Hair Trimming (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Sep 15th 2010 4:25AM
During his role in the hit film 'The Hangover,' Ken Jeong did some full-frontal nudity. On 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 11PM ET on TBS), George Lopez has some questions about this -- questions that might not totally be necessary. For example: "Is that your penis in the movie?" (And for the record, the answer is "Yes." Yes, it was indeed Mr. Jeong's actual penis. "Unfortunately," he adds.)

But full nudity may not be the most embarrassing thing that Ken's had to do for the sake of his acting career. While talking with Lopez, Mr. Jeong reveals an unfortunate "trimming" incident which took place during the 'MTV Movie Awards.'

Tom Cruise Talks J.Lo's Butt Slap During MTV Movie Awards Dance (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Jun 25th 2010 6:20AM
Cruise Talks J.Lo's Butt Slap in Les Grossman DanceTom Cruise has already shared how it came about that his slimy 'Tropic Thunder' character Les Grossman did the "cane dance" with Jennifer Lopez on the MTV Movie Awards. However, never before has he been grilled about one specific aspect of the dance routine -- the butt slapping.

Well, wonder no more, as Jay Leno got to the, er, bottom of things when Cruise visited 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). "Now whose idea was it, having her slap your ass, it was your idea?" Leno inquired.

"That was my idea -- it's Les, it's Les!" said Cruise.
"Now was there a lot of practice in that?" teased Leno. "Because you're obviously turning red, there's more to the story."

"No, there's no more, there's no more to the story. It's a character!" responded Cruise. Leno continued to needle the actor before Cruise (though still grinning) said, "See, you're turning this into something." Okay, Tom, calm down. He's just kidding around. Geez.

MTV Movie Awards: The Best and the Worst

by Bob Sassone, posted Jun 7th 2010 9:20AM

If there's one thing that the 'MTV Movie Awards' taught me last night is that a guy my age shouldn't even be allowed to have MTV on his cable.

I know that MTV is way out of my demographic range -- I no longer "want my MTV" -- but I thought there would be something to interest me on tonight's show. More than, say, the 'MTV Music Awards,' which is just an onslaught of tween stars and rap this 44-year-old can't handle. But this had Steve Carell! Tom Cruise! Paul Rudd! Action! Adventure! Comedy! Unfortunately it also had Snooki! and The Situation!

So I was lost, waiting to see what bizarre thing would happen next instead of waiting for what actual award was coming up. It was half only-young-people-will-like-this and half freak show. But it's MTV so there you go. I did watch the whole thing, so here are the Best and Worst moments. Or, to be precise, the #%^$!@* Best and Worst moments.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Try to Avoid Making Out (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Jun 7th 2010 3:40AM
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Try to Avoid Making OutHey, it's Robert Pattinson! He plays Edward Cullen -- everyone's favorite abstinence glitter vampire -- in the film series 'Twilight.' On the '2010 MTV Movie Awards' (Sun., 6PM ET on MTV), he appears along with possible real-life girlfriend Kristen Stewart, in order to receive the award for 'Best Kiss.'

However, it seems that abstinence isn't just for vampire movies, as Robert and Kristen both struggle and try to avoid making out on camera. Kristen acts like she's fairly unenthusiastic: "It takes a lot of smoke and mirrors to make us look good kissing," she says. "And ... we don't want to let you guys down."

Sandra Bullock Kisses Scarlett JohanssonActress Sandra Bullock broke her media blackout to appear on the '2010 MTV Movie Awards' (Sun., 6PM ET on MTV). Sandra had been lying low in the wake of the recent Jesse James scandal, but now, she has returned -- with a vengeance.

Ms. Bullock accepted the 'MTV Generation Award' from Betty White, then went on to discuss her recent troubles. She decided to point out that she was not currently "dead," and discussed how the paparazzi had been taking unflattering photographs of her. Then -- and this is the part of the article that you've been waiting for -- she made out with Scarlett Johansson, who was also onstage.

Aziz Ansari Will Host 2010 'MTV Movie Awards'

by Danny Gallagher, posted Mar 22nd 2010 7:04PM
Aziz AnsariOne of TV's rising stars is about to get a little bit higher (not that way, Cheech).

'Parks & Recreation' star and comedian Aziz Ansari will host the next 'MTV Movie Awards' broadcast, which will air live on June 6 from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif.

Some say it's the right choice at the right time since his comedy star is hotter than ever thanks to his primetime appearances and the buzz he has earned from his latest comedy special. I like to think it's MTV's way of apologizing for giving 'Human Giant' the run-around.

Most Awkward Award Show Moments (VIDEO)

by Mike Scalise, posted Jan 8th 2010 4:00PM
First she did a twirly hug, then made an odd, slurry joke about a kitten, spoke at a rate of about one word per minute and seemed to have her own personal hype man ('Precious' director Lee Daniels). And what did we do while we watched Mariah Carey's acceptance speech for Breakthrough Actress at last weekend's Palm Springs Film Festival?

We winced. We cringed. Then we watched it again.

Carey's, uh, loosened speech was the first genuinely awkward moment this award show season, but there were many actors, filmmakers, and musicians before her who've heard their name called, stepped to the podium, and made things a little weird for everyone.
