The Ken Burns treatment for Jay vs. Conan
by Allison Waldman, posted Jan 22nd 2010 11:08AM
I love the Ken Burns documentaries. I find that I don't schedule them on the DVR, but anytime I stumble across one on PBS -- like the recent one on national parks -- I wind up spending the afternoon watching the back to back hours. Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the clever guys over there presented one of the funniest bits yet on the Jay Leno versus Conan O'Brien saga at NBC. Imagine, if you will, how Kevin Burns might document the conflagration...

Discovery teams with Google Earth
by Adam Finley, posted Apr 7th 2006 2:36PM
Discovery Communications, the company behind the Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal
Planet, and a bunch of other networks with the word "Discovery" in them, has brought its video content
to Google Earth, Google's tenacious mapping project. Right now the content can be seen by clicking a globe icon located
next to ten of our National Parks. Users can select short-form videos featuring content from that particular area. More
videos will be added in the coming months, as many as fifty, and will expand beyond just the United States. Finally,
you can visit a National Park without exposing yourself to bear attacks. I assume that was the point of all this.TV Squad Hot Topics
