'Law and Order' Star Richard Belzer Previews 'The Uprising'
by PopEater Staff, posted Aug 8th 2010 10:00AM
Richard Belzer's portrayal of Detective John Munch on 'Law & Order' set a few Hollywood records -- Munch is the only fictional character, played by a single actor, to appear on ten different television shows across five different networks. On August 8 at 8PM ET, Belzer will lend his talents to a very different project, narrating Animal Planet's 'The Uprising,' a 2-hour special examining fatal interactions between animals and humans.

'Man vs. Wild' Sending Bear Grylls to Survive in Your Xbox, Wii or PS3
by Danny Gallagher, posted Aug 5th 2010 2:30PM
Have you always wanted to be dropped in the middle of some vast wilderness or barren desert, just to see if you could fend for yourself? Well, before you become an appetizer for some predator creature's three-course dinner, maybe you should give yourself a little test. One way could be to try out the new 'Man vs. Wild' video game that's currently in development. A release date hasn't been set for the Bear Grylls-inspired video game, but it's scheduled to be released on all three of the home video game consoles.

What My Kids Are Watching: Shark Week
by Sandie Angulo Chen, posted Aug 2nd 2010 1:00PM
It's a sacred week in my house -- otherwise known as Shark Week on Discovery. In the hierarchy of annual milestones, Shark Week -- which is celebrating its 23rd consecutive year on the air -- ranks only lower than Christmas and birthday but definitely higher than any of the non-gift-giving holidays.
It's even more anticipated than ABC Family's annual Harry Potter Marathon Weekend, because at the end of the day I can recreate that marathon with our personal stash of DVDs, but no one can recreate the excitement, the awe, the occasional terror that comes along with Discovery's annual shark extravaganza.
Shark Week 2010: Dun Dun ... Dun Dun ... It's Baaack!

Like that great TV philosopher, Tracy Jordan, advised his co-worker pal Kenneth, we should all live every week like it's Shark Week.
Fortunately, this week -- starting Sunday night -- actually is Shark Week, Discovery Channel's annual lineup of programming dedicated to the sea dog (as sharks were known until the 16th century).
This year's Shark Week, the network's 23rd such celebration, kicks off with a new special called 'Ultimate Air Sharks' (Sunday, 9PM) and will be hosted by famous Shark Week devotee Craig Ferguson.
