Chelsea Clinton Makes Her Debut as an NBC Special Correspondent (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Dec 13th 2011 7:35AM
Chelsea Clinton on 'NBC Nightly News'Last night Chelsea Clinton made her debut as an NBC News special correspondent. The former First Daughter appeared on 'Nightly News With Brian Williams' to introduce her 'Making a Difference' segment, which aired in full later on 'Rock Center.'

So, how did she do? Pretty well, as it turned out. Chatting to Williams she was poised and confident, with perhaps just a hint of nerves underlying her banter.

Clinton's report featured the work of Annette Dove, who helps underprivileged children in Pine Bluff, Ark. With food, shelter and tutoring, Dove provides a safety net for some of the most vulnerable members of the community.

Check out Clinton's debut after the jump. And listen closely: When she said, "Thank you Brian, I'm very happy to be here," did somebody in the studio clap?

by AOL TV Staff, posted Dec 9th 2011 4:15PM
Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Joel McHale & Gillian Jacobs, 'Community'We love it when geek worlds collide, so the thought of seeing 'Community' star Danny Pudi (Abed!) on tonight's 'Chuck' has us all excited.

But rumor has it Pudi isn't the only member of the Greendale study group stopping by the Buy More. Which other Human Being might we see hanging around in the background of 'Chuck vs. the Hack Off'?

A few hints ...

Occupy Wall Street Protesters vs. 'Law & Order: SVU' (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Dec 9th 2011 7:45AM
Law and Order SVU castIt was a case of art colliding with life last night in downtown Manhattan as Occupy Wall Street protesters closed down the set of 'Law & Order: SVU.' The procedural drama was supposed to be shooting an OWS-themed episode and had built a fake OWS encampment in Foley Square.

A call from @OccupyWallSt went out on Twitter last night asking OWS protesters to head to the set: "Light, camera, ACTION! Everybody head to Foley Square. Bring yr headshots and make yrself at home! See you at midnite!" Then, with the aid of the hashtag #Mockupy, the news quickly spread throught the twitterverse.

'The Office': Pranks Between Jim and Dwight Reach a New Level (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 9th 2011 3:00AM
'The Office' - 'Christmas Wishes'Pranks took center stage during the holiday party on 'The Office' (Thu., 9PM ET on NBC). Apparently, the constant back-and-forth between Jim and Dwight has lead to a complaint from the new girl in the office, which lead to Andy making an ill-advised ultimatum.

The next person who pranks gets both of their bonuses. But all this ruling did was cause the pair to start pranking themselves, under the pretext that it's the other doing it. When Andy realized what was going wrong, he called off the threat but again made a boneheaded move by only telling Jim.

'Parks & Recreation': Leslie Gives the Best Presents (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 9th 2011 2:30AM
'Parks & Recreation' - 'Citizen Knope'This holiday-themed installment of 'Parks & Recreation' (Thu., 8:30PM ET on NBC) looked at the fallout of Ben's resignation and the scandal that rocked Leslie's campaign. With a two-week suspension, Leslie found herself simply unable to do nothing, so she started a community action group.

But it was her actions, via proxy Ann, at work that spurred everybody else to action. As usual, Leslie gave the most thoughtful gifts to everyone, so this year they decided to return the favor. Settling on a scale replica gingerbread model of the office. It would prove to be a huge winner.

'Community': Abed Convinces Troy to Join Glee With a Rap (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 9th 2011 1:00AM
'Community' - 'Regional Holiday Music'While NBC continues to insist that the absence of 'Community' (Thu., 8PM ET on NBC) from its 2012 midseason schedule does not mean the show has been cancelled, many fans still feel that this episode may be their last chance to rally support for the show. (Save Greendale!) To make that task simpler, the 'Community' gang riffed on one of television's most popular and acclaimed shows.

When members of the Greendale Glee Club found itself suffering simultaneous nervous breakdowns, director Taran Killam ('Saturday Night Live') called on the study group to fill in -- except for Britta. When they rejected him, he realized he only had to turn one and then that person would do the work for him.

Joe Rogan On the Bigger, Crazier 'Fear Factor' Return

by Maggie Furlong, posted Dec 8th 2011 6:50PM
Joe Rogan, 'Fear Factor''Fear Factor' is back (premieres Mon., Dec. 12, 8PM ET on NBC), and I realize that you might think what I've thought all along: original host Joe Rogan is kind of a tool. But after chatting with him for quite a while -- about everything from the show's revamp and his own fears to Miley Cyrus, 'Toddlers & Tiaras' and Anthony Bourdain -- I can safely say that this quote-machine of a man might be one of the most entertaining hosts on TV.

As for 'Fear Factor,' the redux, the rumors of everything being more intense after their five-year hiatus are true. "It is bigger and crazier than it ever was before," Rogan confirms. "I hope the show lives up to fans' expectations ... I think it will."

Keep reading for more scoop on these bigger, crazier challenges and Rogan's thoughts on fame, the old celebrity guest episodes (warning: he's really not a fan of 'Diff'rent Strokes' star Todd Bridges) and why he doesn't think any celebrities, no matter how C-list, will be coming on the show this time around.

'Chuck' Set Visit: Yvonne Strahovski and Carrie-Anne Moss Share Nudist Colony Intel (EXCLUSIVE CLIP)

by Laura Prudom, posted Dec 8th 2011 10:40AM
Chuck castToday is a bittersweet day for loyal 'Chuck' fans, as the show wrapped its final night of filming just a few hours ago. But even though the cameras have stopped rolling, the Buy More lives on -- at least for nine more episodes, the first of which airs tomorrow night (Fri., Dec. 9, 8PM ET on NBC).

AOL TV was on set for the filming of 'Chuck versus the Hack Off,' which was also the final episode of the series that Zachary Levi directed. It guest-stars 'Community' favorite Danny Pudi, 'Lost' alum Eric Lange and ass-kicking 'Matrix' heroine Carrie-Anne Moss, and judging by what we saw during our visit, it promises to be one of the show's most hilarious episodes yet.

We caught up with Moss and Yvonne Strahovski to get the scoop on why Chuck, Sarah and Gertrude find themselves infiltrating a cult; Levi's directing style; and what Strahovski was feeling as the show neared its end. We also have an exclusive -- and revealing -- preview of tomorrow night's episode, so read on for more.

The 'Community' Cast Previews Their Gleeful Christmas Extravaganza Episode

by Maggie Furlong, posted Dec 8th 2011 10:00AM
Last year's 'Community' Christmas episode ranks at the top of my list of favorite holiday-themed TV episodes ever. So how will this year's stack up?

Well there's no funny clay figurines or stop-motion animation, but that's not to say it won't be as magical or uncontrollable as Abed's adventure last season. I mean, we already know there will be a rap video. In 'Regional Holiday Music' (Thurs., Dec. 8, 8PM ET on NBC), the Greendale glee club is sidelined, so the study group has to step up to sing in their place.

I caught up with Joel McHale, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Donald Glover and Gillian Jacobs on the 'Community' set to hear more about their song-and-dance-filled holiday celebration, Troy and Abed's sweet rap, why this episode will be particularly gif-worthy and the "very awesome character" that 'Saturday Night Live' funnyman Taran Killam is playing.

'Up All Night' - 'First Christmas'Blythe Danner returned as Reagan's mother for the Christmas installment of 'Up All Night' (Wed., 8PM ET on NBC). She arrived to find her daughter in full OCD mode trying to outdo the neighbor's Christmas decorating in order to get the same reaction from her daughter that they did.

She was also trying to get into the Christmas spirit in a way that her mother never did during her own childhood, though by the end of the episode the pair had reconciled their differences over a stolen Santa and reindeer they simply could not get up on the roof.

'Community' Cast Says Goodbye ... For Now (VIDEO)

by Chris Harnick, posted Dec 7th 2011 3:30PM
CommunityWe're going to miss 'Community.' Yes, NBC has said it will be back, "later," but that doesn't take the sting away.

In addition to the next new episode (Thurs., Dec. 8, 8PM ET on NBC) the cast teamed with College Humor for a sort of "Goodbye ... for now" video.

Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) says Greendale is closing down for a bit because of an attendance problem *cough*Nielsen families*cough* and a grease fire.

"But while we're away, we hope you won't forget all the great things Greendale has to offer," Dean Pelton says in the video.

What are these "great things"? Find out in the video below.

'The Biggest Loser': Who Are the Final Three?

by Catherine Lawson, posted Dec 7th 2011 4:45AM
'The Biggest Loser' marathonLast night's 'The Biggest Loser' had a twist in its tail. As promoted all season, all of the eliminated contestants returned to face off against the Final Four in a marathon. The winner of this race automatically earned a spot in the Finals, no matter when they were sent home.

Not only did they have to run a marathon ... this time it was in the desert. But at least there were cash prizes on offer for the first five finishers to help assuage the post-marathon agony. So who came out on top and made it to the Finals? And what twist did the producers have in store for the Final Four? !!SPOILER ALERT!!

'Smash' Heading to Broadway?

by Chris Harnick, posted Dec 6th 2011 7:30PM
Smash Heading to Broadway?Could NBC's 'Smash,' a new series about the creation of a Marilyn Monroe musical, make the transition to a real Broadway show?

"It could," Marc Shaiman, composer and co-lyricist, told Broadway.com. "It would need reshaping, because what we're writing for the TV show is very specific to each episode; it's always shadowing or mirroring what's happening to the characters."

'Smash' features original songs and covers throughout each episode -- the first episode has Katharine McPhee belting out a rendition of Christina Aguilera's 'Beautiful' -- as the characters develop a Broadway musical based on the life of film icon Marilyn Monroe. Debra Messing, Anjelica Huston and Megan Hilty also star in the midseason drama.
