Robert Wagner Back as DiNozzo's Father, and a Suspect, on 'NCIS' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 23rd 2011 1:00AM
Robert Wagner, 'NCIS' - 'Sins of the Father'It's always good television when Robert Wagner reprises his role as DiNozzo Sr. on 'NCIS' (Tue., 8PM ET on CBS), but his appearance brought a whole new dynamic to his character, and his relationship with his son. Especially because it also brought with it a dead body in the trunk of his car.

Making matters worse, Senior had threatened to kill the man after he got screwed by him on a deal. He also claimed no recollection of the events leading up to his being in the rented Rolls with a stowaway in the trunk. It showed a different, more desperate and less smarmy side to Senior that was nice to see.

Robert Wagner Cuffed on 'NCIS' as LA Cops Say He's Not a Suspect in Wife's Death

by Catherine Lawson, posted Nov 21st 2011 8:25AM
Last week the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. announced they are re-examining the drowning death of movie star Natalie Wood. The news led to frenzied speculation as to whether her husband, actor Robert Wagner, would now be named a suspect in her death, which has always been shrouded in mystery.

At a press conference Friday, a sheriff's spokesman told reporters that Wagner is not a suspect. "Her death was ruled an accident, an accidental drowing. And that's what it is. If, at the end of it, our investigation points to something else, then we'll address that."

However, over the last few days CBS viewers could have been forgiven for being rather confused about Wagner's status because he keeps appearing on screen in handcuffs. That's because, in a collision of art and life, the network's been promoting tomorrow night's episode of 'NCIS,' in which his character is accused of murder. After being asked if they'd considered postponing the episode, a CBS source told The Wrap that it "is running as scheduled."

'NCIS': Gibbs and Ziva Get into a War Zone Fire Fight to Bring Back a Marine (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 16th 2011 1:00AM
'NCIS' - 'Engaged, Part II''NCIS' (Tue., 8PM ET on CBS) continued its powerful tribute to the US Marines with this second half of a two-parter that saw Gibbs and Ziva heading to Afghanistan to bring back a Marine left behind. The episode showed the strengh and unity of the Corps, regardless of gender.

It was a beautiful thing to watch, and further proof why 'NCIS' stands in a league of its own compared to other procedurals on the air. With as much care and emphasis on its character than its cases, the writers and creative team know how to tell a story and make you care.

We wanted to see Lt. Gabriela Flores returned to her father alive and well just as much as Gibbs did. If we were to get a true military-based dramatic series, following our men and women in the armed forces across the globe where the danger is, we'd want it to feel like this episode.

The Trail of a Missing Marine Leads Gibbs to Afghanistan on 'NCIS' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 9th 2011 2:00AM
'NCIS' - 'Engaged, Part 1'U.S. Marine Gabriela Flores was at the heart of the investigation on this week's episode of 'NCIS' (Tue., 8PM ET on CBS). After an attack, Flores was presumed dead, but without DNA evidence to confirm it, there was some uncertainty. Gibbs was determined to give her father the closure he needed by finding out for sure what happened.

We learned a little about Jethro Gibbs' background this week as Mark Harmon's son Sean stepped in to play a younger version of his dad during his early days as a Marine. Sean did a fantastic job of capturing all those character quirks that make Gibbs unique.

Gibbs Talks With His Ex-Wife About Love and Marriage on 'NCIS' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 2nd 2011 2:45AM
'NCIS' - 'Devil's Triangle'When Diane called up asking for help finding her latest husband on 'NCIS' (Tue., 8PM ET on CBS), you knew it was going to be awkward for both Gibbs and Fornell. But her ex-husbands both stepped up and did the right thing.

After solving the case, which saw her husband Victor proven innocent -- though there may now be a larger viral threat out there that the team needs to tackle; maybe a story arc for the rest of the season? -- Gibbs got a chance to talk with Diane.

She admitted that she never loved Fornell, and more than likely doesn't love Victor either. After all, she said that Gibbs was her Shannon. She knew that Shannon was the only woman Gibbs ever loved, and suspects she'll be the only woman he will ever love. Do you think she's right? Will Gibbs never find love?

Mark Harmon Before He Was Famous

by Crystal Bell, posted Nov 1st 2011 6:30PM
Mark Harmon NCISBefore he started solving crime, it looks like Special Agent Gibbs was actually a star on the football field.

Back in the day, Mark Harmon was rather dapper student attending Harvard High School. After graduating in 1970, he then headed off to UCLA, where he would eventually become quarterback of the football team.

After he hung up his cleats, he turned to acting, and his first role was on the popular primetime soap 'Flamingo Road.' And who else remembers seeing Harmon on the cover of People when he had his brief moment of glory as the Sexiest Man Alive? We can't really imagine Gibbs caring about magazine covers, but for a young Mr. Harmon it was a career-defining highlight. That is, until he appeared in a guest-starring role in 'JAG' that would eventually lead to starring in the CBS hit 'NCIS.'

Check out Harmon's humble beginnings after the jump.

'NCIS' - 'Thirst'Ducky has a new girlfriend on 'NCIS' (Tue., 8PM ET on CBS), and like any good girlfriend, she listens to him. So when he says he figures that by this point he's unlikely to ever see anything new at work, she pounced.

Because she loves him so much, she decided to give him something new to appreciate. Isn't that sweet? Only, it turns out Ducky wasn't as appreciative as she had hoped he'd be.

At first Ducky was impressed with this new killer, but on reflection he shared with his girlfriend that he found the killer to be "Sick, twisted, vicious and there's nothing novel about what he does. I cited his creativity, when in fact he doesn't create a thing."

'NCIS' - 'Safe Harbor'Throughout tonight's episode of 'NCIS' (Tue., 8PM ET on CBS) one thing became clear about the team. They all really care about Gibbs and want him to be happy. The Trail Leads to a Man on the Ledge on 'NCIS' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 28th 2011 6:45AM
'NCIS' - 'Restless'It was a convoluted case for sure on 'NCIS' (Tue., 8PM ET on CBS) with all sings pointing to Curtis, who turns out to be the uncle of the teen at the center of this case. The trails that lead to him found him sitting on the edge of the rooftop, and it was only the timely intervention of the NCIS team that kept him from falling to his death.

Unfortunately, death was still in the cards for the young man, and he wasn't the one they were looking for. It turned out his 17-year old foster sister was suffering some kind of severe emotional trauma that had her running from foster family to foster family, each time before her 18th birthday.

DiNozzo Remembers Who Shot and Framed Him on 'NCIS' Premiere (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 21st 2011 6:30AM
For its Season 9 premiere, 'NCIS' (Tue., 8PM ET on CBS) crafter a rather clever mystery adventure, told in dramatic flashbacks as we, and DiNozzo, tried to figure out what went down during the summer break.

He suffered short-term memory loss after waking up in a hospital, so it was through bits and pieces as his memory came back to him that we were able to figure out what happened.

It was a different storytelling device, and one that proved very effective in creating a slow burn of tension throughout the episode.

It turns out that the old adage of never trust the FBI is a good one, as Agent Stratton betrayed and set up DiNozzo to take the fall for the shootings of EJ and Cade. With Cade dead and EJ missing, there's more to be uncovered yet.
