Desperate Housewives: Hello, Little Girl
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Apr 28th 2008 12:38AM

(S04E13) "Everyone has a reason for not following the rules." - Mary Alice
Things are definitely moving forward on Wisteria Lane. This week, we found out who set Rick's restaurant on fire, Mike finally discovered that Orson ran him over, Dylan met her father, and Edie actually made sense!

(S04E11) "A church isn't a place for questions. It's a place for answers." - Bree to LynetteAfter months without new episodes of Desperate Housewives, I was like Lynette this week: I had questions and wanted answers. Sadly for me, Lynette's quest for answers and faith took precedent over my own curiosity and hopes.
As you know, I'm a spoilers addict, so my expectations for the remaining season 4 episodes of the series were pretty high since I was promised loads of answers about the mysteries surrounding Katherine and Dylan. Because of my wanting of answers, Lynette's storyline, which took most of the air time this week, felt flat.

Desperate Housewives: Something's Coming

(S04E09) "It was supposed to be a beautiful day." - Mary Alice
"The most elaborate episode ever produced in the history of the series" (per what ABC said in the episode's press release) finally aired. A lot of fans have been looking forward to Desperate Housewives' tornado episode for weeks (myself included), especially since two somewhat important characters were said to die. Did the episode deliver? Were expectations too high?

Desperate Housewives: A Distant Past
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Nov 25th 2007 11:25PM

(S04E08) "If the cover has holes in it, the book is no good." - Susan to Julie when the latter tells her mother not to judge a book by its cover
It was blackmail time this week on Desperate Housewives. Okay, that's nothing new but this week, it played an important part of more than one storyline. "A Distant Past" also offered the conclusion of the Stella storyline and started a new chapter in the Victor/Gaby/Carlos triangle.
Desperate Housewives: You Can't Judge a Book by Its Cover

(S04E07) "Trust but verify." - Bree to Susan
Deception was the trend of the week on Wisteria Lane. All Desperate Housewives storylines moved forward; the most important move was probably the dive that took the love triangle involving Carlos, Gaby, and Victor.

(S04E06) "Sometimes greatness needs a little nudge." - Milton
The moment of truth arrived: Danielle gave birth. About three weeks ago, I polled TV Squad visitors about the sex of Danielle's baby. Close to 54% of the voters thought it would be a baby girl but spoilers readers knew since mid-September that the baby would be a boy.

(S04E05) "Bossy women rule this street." - Lynette
Desperate Housewives episodes are not consistent this year (were they ever in the past?) but they are at least entertaining. First, we got a good premiere. Then, we were treated with a delicious lemon meringue face off between Bree and Katherine. This was followed by a somewhat disappointing game night. And last week, we witness what I call a filler episode since storylines (maybe except the Bree one) didn't advance much and Susan was so ridiculously stupid that it was uncomfortable to watch her. In short, we were due for a good Desperate Housewives episode.
Desperate Housewives: If There's Anything I Can't Stand
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Oct 21st 2007 11:35PM

(S04E04) "I hope we can live up to your stereotypes." - Lee to Susan.
This week's episode marked the arrival of Desperate Housewives' first official gay adult couple. Bob and Lee didn't have a major impact on the Wisteria Lane residents yet but they sure made Susan go out of her ways to be liked!
Desperate Housewives: The Game
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Oct 15th 2007 12:41AM

(S04E03) "Uncomfortable people don't ask questions." - Katherine
Last week introduced "Kree" or "Bretherine" (two suggestions made by TV Squad reader D) to us. Most of the TV Squad readers who took part in our poll seemed to like the nemesis and their respectful yet devilish fights. After last week's great episode, I had high expectations for this week's Desperate Housewives: I wanted more Bree and Katherine face offs, I wanted to get a few clues to the Mayfairs' secret, and I wanted the hit man hired by Carlos to take care of Edie.
Desperate Housewives: Smiles of a Summer Night
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Oct 7th 2007 11:04PM

After a controversial season premiere (in case you haven't heard, ABC had to apologize for a joke Susan made while in Adam's office), Desperate Housewives tries to have the Mayfairs, who moved to Wisteria Lane last week, settle in. In last week's TV Squad DH poll, 68% of the voters said they thought the Mayfairs were a good addition to the show. Based solely on last week's episode, I have to agree. But now that we are getting more backstory about the Mayfairs and seeing them interact more with their neighbors, have we changed our mind?

(S04E01) "No more secrets. From now on, we tell every shocking details of our lives." - LynetteThe ladies of Wisteria Lane are back and it's certain that they won't follow through on the promise they made to each other to not keep secrets! The Season Three finale of Desperate Housewives may not have been the most cliffhanger-y out there, but still, fans (I include myself in the lot) were wondering what was in store for the ladies and their men this upcoming season. But most importantly, we wanted to know if Edie survived her suicide attempt.
What to expect in season 4 of Desperate Housewives
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Aug 9th 2007 9:26AM
After watching "Getting Married," Desperate Housewives' third season finale, most viewers were wondering if Edie survived her suicide attempt. Even if the episode didn't leave us with a wide number of cliffhangers, we did ask ourselves other questions such as how long Gaby and Victor would stay married, how long before someone finds out Bree is not pregnant, how would Lynette cope with her illness, and how would Susan and Mike's marriage turn out to be. We have some answers for you!Spoilers warning!
Desperate Housewives: the musical?
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Jul 6th 2007 10:01AM
Yes, you read right. Desperate Housewives' creator Marc Cherry wants to do what other series (see Buffy and Scrubs) did before: a musical episode! Variety reports that the Cherry is looking to keep ratings up next year and thinks that a musical episode may help create a buzz.
Desperate Housewives: God, That's Good
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Apr 23rd 2007 10:39AM
(S03E19) Last week's episode left me with a lot of questions and expectations for this week's installment of Desperate Housewives. Would Susan dump Ian for good? How would Edie and Carlos' relationship evolve? Would Lynette cheat on Tom with Rick? But most importantly, I wanted to know how Mr. McCluskey died, why he was in the freezer and why was Mrs. McCluskey not reporting his death? Even though I'm a spoilers addict and knew most of the answers to my own questions, spoilers are never 100% accurate so I was impatiently waiting for the episode. Sadly, the episode didn't give me all the goods I was waiting for.
