Chloe King's cat-like superpowers weren't enough to save her from the scheduling ax: Just as the Fall 2012 Season is getting underway, ABC Family has canceled 'Nine Lives of Chloe King.''Deadline' reports that the drama has been killed off after just one season, but that as ABC Family takes with one hand, it gives with the other.
Fellow newbie 'The Lying Game' has received a 12-episode back order from the network, meaning that it will now air for an entire season.
It's also been reported that ABC Family's already looking ahead by preparing to order pilot episodes of 'Strut' from 'Gilmore Girls' creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, and action drama 'Intercept.'

With the premiere of 'The Nine Lives of Chloe King' tomorrow night, ABC Family is finally getting in on the supernatural action that's so popular among teen-centric television, literature and movies these days. The series follows a San Francisco teen who finds out she's the key to protecting an ancient, super-powered race from evil assassins. Sounds far out, but it's actually very relatable -- especially the performance from star Skyler Samuels.
In AOL TV's exclusive sneak peek below, watch Chloe have a normal conversation with her BFF -- if your idea of normal banter is "I think I died today," that is.
