Adult Swim Renews 'NTSF:SD:SUV'
by Chris Harnick, posted Oct 6th 2011 5:50PM
Watch out terrorists! Paul Scheer's butt-kicking team on 'NTSF:SD:SUV' will be back for a second season.
"The ratings have consistently built throughout the first season and we love what we're seeing from the show, and how can you not love SUVs?" Adult Swim honcho Mike Lazzo said.
Scheer created the procedural parody series and also stars alongside Rebecca Romijn, Kate Mulgrew, Brandon Johnson, June Diane Raphael and Martin Starr. The all-star cast play characters who are part of a clandestine team of government agents that protects San Diego from terrorist threats.

'Community' Hires Martin Starr as Greendale's Latest Professor
by Jean Bentley, posted Jul 28th 2011 5:10PM
'Community' is on an awesome person guest-casting roll: First Michael K. Williams signs on to play a fresh-out-of-jail biology professor, then John Goodman inks a deal as the new vice dean of the school of air conditioning repair. Now another beloved actor will join them in the faculty lounge.Martin Starr, king of the critically acclaimed but prematurely canceled TV series (RIP, 'Party Down' and 'Freaks and Geeks'), will guest star as a poli-sci professor and Model UN advisor, TVLine reports.
The gig is currently a one-off, but you never know on 'Community' -- Starr could be back eventually.
According to TVLine, the deal came about after Starr filmed a movie this summer with none other than Alison Brie.
Lizards, Hogs & Whiskers: The Weirdest and Wackiest TV Show Names
by Maureen Ryan, posted Jul 21st 2011 12:15PM
Every week, both viewers and people who write about television are inundated with information about new shows. One way for networks to make those shows stand out is to give them weird, eye-catching or borderline insane names. The last couple weeks have been quite busy, what with the preparations I've been making for Comic-Con, which begins today, and for the Television Critics Association summer press tour, which starts in about a week.
To distract myself from the insanity, I compiled a list of a few of the show titles that have caught my eye in the last year or two.
EXCLUSIVE First Look: Paul Scheer's New Adult Swim Show 'NTSF:SD:SUV::'
by Maggie Furlong, posted Jun 29th 2011 5:35PM
Adult Swim fans, one of the funniest fake network interstitials ever is now a TV show. And, judging by these exclusive photos, it's going to be SFA. (That's So Freaking Awesome for the uninitiated.)

'National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego: Sport Utility Vehicle' -- or the tongue-twisting acronym 'NTSF:SD:SUV::' -- was created by our pal Paul Scheer, who also stars (with hair!) as a member of an elite group of government agents tasked with protecting one of the country's biggest terrorist targets: San Diego.
Now San Diego might not sound like a hotbed of terrorist activity, but you'd be surprised at what Mexico, Canada and even Guam have cooking in southern California.
