Anecdotes and examples from the citizenry are common in the annual State of the Union address. But jokes -- not so much. "Salmon" became a buzzword after President Obama's 'State of the Union' (Tue., 9PM ET on ABC) speech, when he used a joke about the fish to exemplify excessive government bureaucracy."The Interior Department is in charge of salmon while they're in fresh water, but the Commerce Department handles them when they're in saltwater," Obama said. "I hear it gets even more complicated once they're smoked," he quipped.
