Five Creepy Game Show Hosts

by Danny Gallagher, posted Apr 22nd 2010 2:02PM
Fergie Olver, host of the game show Game show hosts by their very job description creep me down to the bone. It's just in their nature. They have to go out of their way to make ordinary people look comfortable, even though they have never been on television.

Some housewife from Minnesota who is one number away from owning a new Ford Focus is so nervous, she could fly into an eye-bleeding seizure at any moment. Enter the host. He has to step in and calm her down before that happens.

However, there is a fine line between comforting someone and invading their personal space with the force of a German infantry. These are the hosts who put that creepy feeling you get whenever you hear the phrase, "Come on down!"

A Threesome on 'Accidentally on Purpose'What to do when a sexy nurse suggests a threesome with you and your friend? Would you be prepared? How would you handle it? On the most recent episode of 'Accidentally on Purpose' (Wed., 8:30PM ET on CBS), guest star Olivia Munn appears as Nicole, a nurse hired to help out Billie (Jenna Elfman). But Munn has more than nursing on her mind. "So do you guys want to do a three-way?" she says to Davis and Ryan (Nicolas Wright and Pooch Hall). The Twelve Days of Festivus: Eleven babes worth watchin'

by Mike Moody, posted Dec 13th 2009 10:39AM
Olivia WildeOn the eleventh day of Festivus, TV gave to me ... eleven babes worth watchin' .

Festivus is here, and is there a better way to celebrate than by taking stock of all the alluring TV hotties we've been obsessing over this year? I think not. (It's sure a beats counting down the year's stinkiest shows, anyway.)

For this year's list, we decided to stray a little from last year's Maxim covergirl-friendly tally to highlight the small screen starlets who charmed us not only with their hotness, but also with their talent. So head after the jump as we celebrate the 11th day of Festivus by counting down 11 babes worth watchin'.

G4 wants you to enroll in Slasher School

by Bob Sassone, posted Oct 26th 2009 4:28PM
This sounds like a really odd new show from G4. It's Slasher School, a new animated show that features the voices of Attack of the Show hosts Kevin Pereira, Olivia Munn, and Blair Butler. The show debuts tonight at 7PM on AOTS.

The plot? It's about a school where killers learn to kill.

Star Wars was the first ever Comic-Con panel televised, but was it good TV?

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 28th 2009 9:03AM
Kevin Pereira & Olivia MunnStar Wars is a big deal. I tell you this in case you are unfamiliar with the property (hey, it's possible!). So if you're going to choose which panel from this weekend's Comic-Con to become the first ever televised convention panel, why not go with Star Wars? You've got a rabid fan-base, half of them probably dressed up like their favorite characters from the saga. Get two of your most popular on-air personalities to host it and you should have television gold.

That was G4's plan going in. Kevin Pereira and Olivia Munn host the nightly live Attack of the Show, where they're topical, geeky and funny. I thought they brought much of that same energy to their hosting here. So what went wrong?

For one, it seemed like somebody slipped the audience some Xanax while they were waiting in line or something, because they didn't get excited about anything. It didn't help that the majority of the panel was incredibly boring.

Is Ninja Warrior getting too American?

by Michael Pascua, posted Jun 30th 2009 7:13PM
Olivia Munn wipes out on Ninja WarriorG4 must be getting on my nerves. I'm giving Web Soup another few weeks because Chris Hardwick is still warming up. I'm more upset on Ninja Warrior's evolution, becoming more and more American. By adding several G4 characters, they are diluting a fun Japanese show.

I can forgive a show like Iron Chef America because they are their own separate entity that is respectful to the original, but inserting G4 people into the original Sasuke feels forced and unnecessary, as if Sasuke just got taken over by Americans.

Attack of the Show spoofs Wonder Woman - VIDEO

by Brett Love, posted Jan 26th 2007 2:41PM
Olivia MunnAttack of the Show is something of a hot-button topic among TV fans. Their ScreenSavers lineage has turned a number of fans against them because they simply aren't what they used to be. I can't fault anyone for falling in with that camp. There was a lot to not like about the TechTV/G4 merger.

While I don't hate AOTS, I certainly don't watch it with the same regularity that I watched ScreenSavers. I do check in once in a while to see what Kevin and Olivia are up to, and on special occasions like when they have hunky television reporter Kevin Kelly on to talk about 24...

Love 'em or hate 'em though, once in a while they do manage a fun bit. Olivia Munn as Wonder Woman is one of them. It's cute. Both the invisible jet and catfight scenes are funny. And just because the internet is the internet, there is now a petition to get Olivia the role of Wonder Woman in Joss Whedon's upcoming movie. Aside from AOTS, I've only seen her in Beyond The Break on The-N. She was fine in it, but I hadn't really thought of her as the next Wonder Woman. On the other hand, what the hell? She certainly looks the part. Give her some witty Whedon writing and I'm sure things will be just ducky. Video after the jump.
