Julia mentioned previously that Amy Sedaris would be appearing in a guest role on Andy Barker, P.I. Well, Julia wasn't lying, but you won't see the episode on TV. Instead, click on over to NBC's site to see "The Lady Varnishes," in which Sedaris plays a sex-crazed older woman who spent some time in the slammer. Funny, that sounds an awful lot like her Jerri Blank character from Strangers with Candy. The two characters do share similar traits, but who the heck cares, I'd give my left leg to see Sedaris in anything (and that statement will mean more to you after you've watched the episode).

Not too long ago I mentioned that some new series would soon be popping up on Comedy Central's Motherload site. A couple of these series have already debuted, and I have to say, I'm not exactly floored by what I've seen so far. Granted, it's hard to justify spending too much money and energy on a Web-only series that might not be seen by that many people, but Motherload still managed to provide some really smart and funny shows, like "I Love the '30s," "All Access: Middle Ages" and Jon Glaser's "Tiny Hands."

One of the newest series to hit the broadband player is "Guacamole," from comedians Michael Blieden and Matt Price. I don't think anyone has ever created a show about a tub of guacamole and a can of minestone soup, but to be honest, I'm a little torn about this one. I like both the comedians involved, and there are some funny bits, but the premise of inanimate objects talking and living like normal people doesn't seem all that original. I'm either going to get bored with watching food "talking", or it's totally going to win me over.

Two Family Guy characters, Stewie, the evil pansexual baby genius and Brian, the erudite family dog will be hosting their own "online only" talk show called Up Late with Stewie and Brian. The show will be launched on FamilyGuy.com later this year. Right now that's all that is known about the show. As a devoted but cautious Family Guy fan, I think this show could be pretty cool. Of all the characters on Family Guy, Stewie and Brian have always had the best dynamic.They each have different personalities, but also a kind of odd mutual respect in that they're the two members of the family who shouldn't speak but do.
