Orange County Choppers Faces Foreclosure, Fox Hit With 'Lie to Me' Lawsuit and More
by Chris Harnick, posted Jan 25th 2011 12:00PM
Orange County Choppers is facing foreclosure on an upcoming episode of its reality series, 'American Chopper.'In November, the Times Herald Record reported that the lender behind OCC's headquarters in Newburgh, N.Y., filed a foreclosure action against the reality stars. The preview for next week's 'American Chopper: Senior Vs. Junior' showed Paul Teutul Sr. dealing with the news.
According to The Times Herald Record, Orange County Choppers has two mortgages through GE Commercial Finance Business Property Corp. One is for $11 million and the other is for $1.5 million. The November foreclosure action said the OCC missed payments of $96,400 and $14,000. They were due July 1.
Richard Mahon, lawyer for the Choppers, told the newspaper in November that his clients stopped making payments to put pressure on the lender to modify terms of the loan since the value of the building has changed in the recession.
"This is just a bump in the road," Mahon told the Record. "We believe the parties will reach a resolution and the headquarters will continue in this location."

'American Chopper' Roars Back
by Scott Harris, posted Apr 7th 2010 11:06AM
After six seasons on Discovery and TLC, the popular reality series 'American Chopper' finally came to an end earlier this year, airing its final episode on Feb. 11 after a surprise cancellation that left fans shocked and heartbroken. Well, that didn't last long.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, TLC has reached an agreement with the various members of the Teutul family to air another season of 'American Chopper.' Though few details are known -- the full announcement from the network is scheduled to take place during its upfronts later this week -- The New York Post revealed that the upcoming series will be subtitled 'Senior vs. Junior.'
New York Post breaks a HUGE spoiler for American Chopper - VIDEO
by Danny Gallagher, posted Apr 9th 2009 10:03AM
Regular watchers of American Chopper will look at the picture to the right and immediately ponder the following question: is Paul Sr. giving Paulie Jr. a big hug or a meaty, larynx-crushing choke hold? I've been notoriously anti-reality TV for a long time, but I gave American Chopper a grace chip when it ran on the Discovery Channel for the first few seasons. It can get just as over-the-top as most reality shows tend to do, but it still had a genuine level to it somewhere in just about every episode, and it offered viewers something more than just grown men fighting. I'm also a pathetic wanna-be gearhead and would watch a custom Buick LaSabre build contest if I thought I could generate an ounce of knowledge from it over my rich, car-building friends.
So imagine my surprise when the New York Post broke the biggest spoiler in the show's history, other than the fact that it is still on the air.
American Chopper: Celebrity Build (Billy Joel)
by Joel Keller, posted Apr 26th 2006 10:31PM
You
know, I used to watch American
Chopper now and again because I kind of liked the Teutuls' act. You know what I mean: Paulie Sr. is the gruff
but lovable father that is always barking out orders and issuing empty threats; Paulie Jr. is supposed to be the heir
apparent to the Orange County Choppers empire, but doesn't seem to
want it or care; Mikey's the comic relief. Then, of course, I found out that, like most reality shows, the yelling and
tension is mostly made-up. By then it didn't really matter, though; I had stopped watching because the formula started
to get tiresome to me.But then I read in my local newspaper (yes, they still print those) that this episode, which first aired on Monday, would be a celebrity build for my favorite singer, Billy Joel, and that Billy would be a complete pain in the ass. Oh, boy. The prickly "my way or the highway" Teutuls mixed with the "delicate genius" of the Piano Man? This was one I had to watch.
