Kiefer Sutherland says he'd like to do 24 until he's 60

24
Mid-season is getting to be an even more exciting time for TV premieres than the fall. We have Lost, Chuck, American Idol, Archer, and a whole bunch of other shows to look forward to. That includes 24. The new season launches with a two-hour episode on January 17 (with another two-hour episode airing the next night).

Kiefer Sutherland talks about the show in this new interview over at Parade.com. He says that not only will a New York City setting revitalize the show a bit, he confesses that no one believes they've ever done a perfect season of the show, and they want to keep doing it until they do. He also says that he'd love to keep doing the show until he's 60 years old, but "nobody would accept it."

Hmmmm, I don't know about that. It seemed to work OK for Edward Woodward on The Equalizer, right?

(Joel did a quiz for Parade.com about the show. Go and see how much you know.)

Think you're a Dancing with the Stars expert? Take our quiz and find out

DWTS
Parade.com has been kind enough to ask us to do another quiz; this time it's about the ABC smash Dancing with the Stars. Because I'm about as far from a DWTS expert as you can get, I decided to ask my assistant editor, Jane, to take the reins on this one. She did a pretty nice job, even though she only had the current season to work with.

Because the quiz has to do with events that happened outside the show, I actually did pretty well, all things considered; I got seven out of fifteen right. How did I do so well? Think of this key word: injuries! Wow, the show has had so many freak injuries, it looks more like Monday Night Football than a dancing contest (although Lawrence Taylor probably thinks it's all par for the course, given his Monday Night history).

Anyway, go take the quiz at Parade.com, then come back here and let us know how you did.

Think you know Scrubs? Take our quiz and find out

Scrubs Quiz on Parade.comOur head honcho Joel is at it again. If you haven't taken his 24 quiz on Parade.com, scamper over there right now and test your knowledge of all things Jack, Tony and CTU.

And now's your chance to test your Scrubs mojo with Joel's latest quiz on the long-running doc show. Answer questions like: Which actor does Dr. Cox frequently rant about? What nationality is Carla's family? And which role is played by creator Bill Lawrence's wife?

I'm not a Scrubs expert, but took the quiz anyway just to see how many guesses I'd get right. Not many. I'm sure you'll fare much better.

Take the quiz here, and let us know how you did!

How well do YOU know 24? Take our quiz on Parade.com!

by Jane Boursaw, posted Apr 7th 2009 1:10PM
Kiefer Sutherland in 24What year was the CTU created? Who played President Palmer in Season Five? Who killed Teri Bauer at the end of Season One?

These questions and more are featured in a 24 quiz written by our illustrious leader Joel for Parade.com. I thought I knew 24 pretty well, but Joel managed to throw in a few trick questions that led me astray. Or then again, maybe I just don't know 24 as well as I thought I did. Nah, I think it's the trick questions.

Also featured on Parade.com is a nice little Q&A with Kiefer Sutherland, in which he talks about the possibility of a 24 movie, Barack Obama becoming President, and why he cried buckets over Bambi.

But first, take the quiz and report back on how you did. I'm not even going to admit my pathetic score. It's Joel's trick questions - yeah, that's it.

Who is the most obnoxious celebrity?

by Bob Sassone, posted Jul 14th 2008 12:50PM

Simon CowellI know, I know, there are so many choices that your mind is about to implode. But readers of Parade.com did the work for us and they've voted for the most obnoxious celebrity in the world and the "winner" is ...

... Simon Cowell! The American Idol host got 42% of the vote, followed by Donald Trump (37%), Gordon Ramsay (12%), and Spencer Pratt (9%). How the hell did Pratt only get 9%? Maybe people were uneasy about even confirming that he's a "celebrity."
