The cast of the FX sitcom It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia gathered a stone's throw from Beverly Hills this week to celebrate the release of the show's new Christmas special.

A Very Sunny Christmas arrives on Blu-ray and DVD November 17 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Fox teamed with Maxim Magazine to hold a festive bash last Thursday night at Guys and Dolls Lounge in the shadow of Cedar Sinai Hospital on Beverly Blvd. (Event gallery below.)

A modest red carpet set-up gathered a cramped collection of reporters and photographers together to greet the arrivals of show stars Danny DeVito, Kaitlin Olson, Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton and Charlie Day.

As if looking to mimic the bleak Philadelphia winter, rain sprinkled the LA streets in the hours leading up to the event -- and temperatures hovering in the low 50s made it a goose bumpy night for the several cocktail dress-clad ladies mingling in the crowd.

(S01E11) Roger and Susan finally had that moment. After eleven episodes, when he showed up in her kitchen and said what we've been waiting to hear him say -- "I love you, Susan" -- it was cathartic. Done to the tune of Carole King singing, "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?" Swingtown grabbed me by the throat, leaving me dying to see what would happen next. Only that was the end of the show.

I guess that's a good thing, being on the edge of my seat, hungry for more. Of course the next episode is two weeks away and probably the last of the show unless CBS deigns to bring it back in 2009. Based on the level of interest I have and I've seen from readers, Swingtown has earned a second season.

But I digress, let's get back to "Get Down Tonight." There was an awful lot of getting down, including the kids. BJ and Ricky had a hot game of strip poker with Sam and her very mature cousin Lisa. Not surprisingly, Ricky was all bluff and ran for the hills when things got too advanced, while BJ showed again that he's a real mensch (Yiddish for a quality person).

Lindsay Lohan says that the girls of Sex and the City are to blame for the way she lives her life, that Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall and the others taught her that settling down with one man wasn't the thing to do, that she should play the field and sleep with a bunch of different people.

Also: she drinks a lot because she used to watch Cheers all the time, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous made her crave a big mansion, and CSI made her want to become an expert in forensics.

The most terrifying news I got from the article above is that Lohan has a younger sister, Ali, who is also becoming an actress. Oh, great. I guess the gossip columnists and bloggers will be kept in business for at least another ten years. Parents, lock up your sons.

(S03E02) After a magnificent season premiere last week, it would have been difficult for this episode to come close. It didn't, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a very satisfying viewer experience anyway.

Michael can be such an ass at times, but underneath all of the bravado, he is a very vulnerable guy. He generally is hurt that Jim left the Scranton office for greener pastures in Stamford but, of course, Jim admits that he didn't leave because he hated Michael. We all know why he left, but he had to tell Michael about his rejection by Pam. We then see Michael do his best to be a friend to Jim, and when he just acts like a regular guy and not a combination of a comedian and businessman, he can be just fine.

Yeah, those are the revelations from this interview with The Sun. She says she's really smart and made up the persona she has on The Simple Life. This is good news, because watching the show you say to yourself, my God, I hope she isn't really like that. And in the only thing Paris Hilton has ever said that makes me respect her a smidge, she says "all reality shows are fake. When you a camera on you, you are not going to act like yourself."

Hilton also says she's quite shy and doesn't like to party, and that if you see her at a party at 3am, she's getting paid for it. Hmmm...

To use a line from the brother on The New Adventures of Old Christine, when Richard brought the new Christine to his son's Parent Night at school, "you know, I think there actually might be something wrong with you."

Paris Hilton hit another car with her SUV after shopping on Thursday night. This isn't the first time she's done it, and TMZ.com has this video too. She didn't stick around to talk to the owner, but she did leave her name and number with an employee.

It's a coincidence that I happened to see this online, as I logged on to tell you my thoughts about the new season of The Simple Life on E! Have you seen this show. What a piece of garbage. Not because it's a reality show, but because it's a bad reality show. It's not even entertaining in that "so bad it's good" way, and you know why? They're lying to viewers. A lot of this stuff is just staged to make for a funny show (though they miss the mark big time). For example, the episode I just watched, they are babyproofing a couple's home. While Nicole leaves the vacuum running and then leaves to go out ot lunch with her assistant and drink a lot of shots and PARTY for the cameras (woo-hoo), Paris takes giant roles of bubble wrap and wraps up everything in the apartment, to the wacky shock of the owner.

You know, no one is that stupid, even her. It's like something written for a bad sitcom. And that's all this is. It's not "reality" in any way.
