Reality TV Stars Won't Be Getting Stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 30th 2011 1:50PM
Pauly D wants his Hollywood Walk of Fame star on 'Early'Should reality stars get stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? According to a report on 'Early' (weekdays, 7AM on CBS), it's not going to happen. That may make Pauly D unhappy, but the people interviewed for the segment around the Walk seemed fine with it. And Ana Martinez, the Walk of Fame's publicist, sounds pretty adamant about it.

Somebody asked the question on the Walk of Fame's Facebook page, and were told "Hell to the no." 'Early' reported that people noticed the response, including reality stars. "The criteria for getting a star is longevity in the field of entertainment, of five years or more, awards - Emmys, Oscars, Grammys," said Martinez. "Philanthropic work that they do."

Pauly D Talks 'Jersey Shore' Fight: 'You'd Be Surprised at What Actually Hit Sitch' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 10th 2011 2:45PM
Snooki and Pauly D on 'Access Hollywood Live'MTV's 'Jersey Shore' Season 4 promo includes a scene where where Ronnie and The Situation get into an intense-looking situation. Perhaps to avoid confusion, Pauly D, Snooki, Billy Bush, and Kit Hoover called The Situation "Sitch" on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC). So what really happened in the Florence throwdown? Pauly D tried to stay vague on the details, but let a crucial clue slip.

"It was just some built up stuff," he said of the fight. "This has been built up for awhile. They had some tension, we had to just let them release it. We had to just let them do what they had to do." Asked if alcohol was involved with the fight, Pauly said, "Always. A little bit."

He then added this bit of intrigue, when Bush asked if Ronnie had actually clobbered Sitch, or if perhaps Sitch was being overdramatic. "You'd be surprised at what actually hit Sitch," said Pauly. Not who hit Sitch, but what hit Sitch. We're intrigued.

Jersey ShoreA 'Jersey Shore' without Snooki and the gang? Say it ain't so!

According to reports, MTV plans to recast the now infamous reality show after the original crew films one final season in Seaside Heights this summer.

"After this group comes back from Italy and shoots season 5 this summer, that will be the end for them," a source tells Us Weekly.

The insider goes on to cite the cast's high salaries and outside commitments as reasons to move on with a new group -- not to mention the publicity and paparazzi constantly surrounding them. The new cast will be "a lot cheaper," but that the current stars "will leave on a high note."

The Situation Gets Development Deal at MTV

by Jean Bentley, posted May 4th 2011 11:15AM
The Situation, Jersey ShoreAfter 'Jersey Shore' stars Snooki, JWoww and Pauly D got their own MTV shows, you knew a Situation spinoff would be next. Today, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that a Sitch series is in the works.

Don't pretend you're not excited.

While there aren't actually any details about what, exactly, Mike Sorrentino's show will be about (though we can probably assume there won't be any dancing involved), THR reports that the Macaroni Rascal will film a pilot presentation later this year to submit to the network for series consideration.

When AOL TV spoke with 'Jersey Shore' creator SallyAnn Salsano a few weeks ago, she told us the gang would head over to Italy to shoot the latest season of 'Jersey Shore' any day now.

'Jersey Shore' Stars Get Six-Figure Raise

by PopEater Staff, posted Apr 11th 2011 10:20AM
Jersey ShoreReady to wrap your head around this? The stars of MTV's 'Jersey Shore' just got a huge pay raise. The "core group" of the eight-member cast will reportedly receive at least $100,000 per episode for season 4, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Yes, you read that right -- $100,000 per episode. And, in case you were wondering, each season of the hit show is about 13 episodes.

Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, Jenni 'J-Woww' Farley, Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino and Paul 'Pauly D' Delvecchio were reportedly holding up contract negotiations for the next season, which led to a delay in their scheduled Italian trip. The group was reportedly asking for more money, and now they have it in the form of a six-figure paycheck per episode.

This isn't the first time members of the 'Jersey Shore' have asked for more money to film the show. Last summer, the cast went on strike in order to rake in more cash.

The Pauly D and Snooki/J-Woww 'Jersey Shore' Spin-Offs Are a Go

by Jean Bentley, posted Apr 7th 2011 5:00PM
Snooki, JWoww, DJ Pauly DIt was inevitable that the 'Jersey Shore' starts would end up with their own MTV shows, right?

Not only is their highly rated reality series constantly playing on the network, the Macaroni Rascals also show up in various commercials (cashews, Miracle Whip, Xenadrine) and pop culture events (the roast of Donald Trump, Wrestlemania). Now, three of the party-loving reality stars will have shows of their own.

MTV announced today that it has ordered full, 12-episode seasons of two different 'Jersey Shore' spin-offs, one from DJ Pauly D and one from Snooki (aka Nicole Polizzi) and J-Woww (aka Jenni Farley).

"The 'Jersey Shore' cast is at the center of the show's ongoing success, and Nicole, Pauly D and Jenni have become household names as a result of their unique, sometimes outrageous and often hilarious personalities," said MTV exec Chris Linn in a statement. "We're excited to put the spotlight on their lives away from the shore as they pursue their individual passions, careers and relationships. Both series are fun, fresh ways for us to evolve what is an already successful brand for us."

'Jersey Shore': Pauly D Investigates the Case of the Dirty Panties (VIDEO)

Pauly D Finds Panties on 'Jersey Shore'Mystery in the 'Jersey Shore' (Thu., 10PM ET on MTV) house! While Pauly D is tending to his look (i.e., getting "fresh to death") in the bathroom, he spies some stained panties on the floor. His new mission is to root out the owner of such "dirty drawers."

He carries them gingerly (using a plastic fork) into the middle of the living room and waits nearby to observe reactions. Everyone who walks in grimaces; Vinny literally recoils. Deena picks them up, which is proof enough for Ronnie that they are hers. "I would never wear those," she says.

"You know they're not Snook's 'cause there's no bronzer on 'em," notes Pauly D. And "mine's are red," he adds. And, presumably, not women's undergarments?

by Jason Hughes, posted Feb 4th 2011 5:20AM
Pauly D., 'Jersey Shore'Once this 'Jersey Shore' (Thu., 10PM ET on MTV) phenomenon wears off, Pauly D. may have just secured his new gig. He was so good in his impression of an answering machine that the guy trying to reach Snooki actually started leaving his message.

After Snooki told him not to answer the phone, Pauly did just that. "Thank you for calling the 'Jersey Shore' store," he said in a monotone voice. "We are unable to come to the phone at this time, but leave your name, number and a brief message after the tone, we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Thank you. Bye."

With the girls struggling to stifle their laughter, Snooki's caller started leaving his message apologizing to the diminutive star, but Pauly decided to push it even further.

'Million Dollar Money Drop' Producer Stands By Post-It Question, Pauly D Gets His Own Show and More

by Jean Bentley, posted Dec 22nd 2010 6:30PM
'Million Dollar Money Drop''Million Dollar Money Drop' executive producer Jeff Apploff stands by the now-infamous Post-It question from Monday night's premiere that saw a couple lose $800,000 on an incorrect answer.

While the show said the sticky notes were introduced in 1980, bloggers pointed out that 3M's website made it seem as if they were introduced earlier.

"The integrity of the questions and answers on our show are our No. 1 priority," Apploff said in a statement. "In this case, our research team spoke directly with 3M, and they confirmed that although they had given out free samples in test markets in 1977 and 1978, it wasn't until 1980 that Post-Its were sold in stores. 'Million Dollar Money Drop' stands behind the answer that was revealed on the show."

'Jersey Shore' Season 2 Ends with a Massive Fight (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Oct 22nd 2010 8:45AM
Jenni Wouldn't it almost seem wrong if season 2 of 'Jersey Shore' (Thu., 10PM ET on MTV) ended without a massive fight? On the final night in the Miami house, Nicole "Snooki" is forced to explain whether Pauly D really said Jenni "JWoww" was "fake." Apparently Mike "The Situation" had asked who in the house was fake, Jenni was mentioned, and Snooki thought a couple nods from Vinny and Pauly proved they agreed.

Pauly basically explodes. "His, like, veins were coming out of his, like, neck and head," says Sammi "Sweetheart".

"I didn't say words that came out of anybody's mouth," protests Snooki. Pauly says to Jenni, "You said that Snooki said that I said you were fake. Now she said that she never said that. I'm just trying to clear [beep] up."

A noble attempt. We're not really sure what happened there. Suffice to say, the altercation concludes with a "bros before hos" gesture between Mike and Pauly.

'Jersey Shore': The Situation Lets Down Pauly D as Wingman (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Oct 15th 2010 8:40AM
Mike Sorrentino Is a Bad Wingman on 'Jersey Shore'Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has a situation at five in the morning in the 'Jersey Shore' (Thu., 10PM ET on MTV) house. He and Pauly D brought home a couple of girls they thought were "DTF" (down to f---). But Mike's girl has no intention of sleeping with him. Mike is shocked -- and angry. "You need to go in the other room and snuggle with yourself, 'cause I'm going to sleep right now."

Problem is, Pauly D's trying to put the moves on his own girl -- a few feet away from Mike's bed. Mike takes his chick out of the bedroom, and she whines that he said they'd jump in the hot tub. Mike replies, "No, baby, you don't hook up with nobody, and I don't wanta waste my time."

Pauly D's conquest decides to leave. He is convinced she was DTF but didn't follow through because Mike let his "situation get the best of him."
