Battlestar Galactica pen-and-paper RPG on its way
by Brett Love, posted Dec 29th 2006 11:02AM
Like many people, I was a little skeptical when I heard that someone was re-imagining Battlestar Galactica way back when. It seemed like an idea that could blow up in so many ways. We know now that Ronald D. Moore and his team pulled it off in a big way, but the reason I tuned in that first time was because I heard that if you looked really closely, in a certain scene, you would see Serenity fly across the screen. I'm off on a bit of a tangent there, but not completely. The two universes meet again in the world of pen-and-paper RPGs. Margaret Weis Productions, the people behind the Serenity RPG, are now at work on a Battlestar Galactica game based on the same system. Plans call for a quickstart guide in early 2007 with the full game being released in the spring. The MWP site is under construction, but you can read the whole press release at OgreCave.
