How Andre Agassi's Dad Interrupted a Crucial Point Against Pete Sampras (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Sep 8th 2010 7:00AM
Andre Agassi's father didn't attend many of the tennis star's matches. It was Mike Agassi's attempt to not distract his son or make him nervous. But he still managed to cause an outrageous scene during a tournament clincher against Pete Sampras.First, Mike alarmed security when he showed up without a ticket, Agassi explained on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC). An official sat Mike in the front row, but the tennis pro remained oblivious to his presence. Just when Agassi had the (rare) chance to break Sampras' serve, a phone started ringing in the audience.
"[Sampras is] about to serve -- phone goes again," said Agassi. "'Hey, are you gonna ever answer your phone?'" Sampras screamed. "All of a sudden, my dad's head pops up. And he goes, 'It's my F'in phone, I'll answer it if I damn well please. Kiss my a--!'"
Sports Night: How Are Things In Glocca Morra?

(S01E17) Basically, it's all Pete Sampras' fault.
That's what everyone thinks in this, one of my favorite episodes. Pete Sampras is in the middle of a U.S. Open match with a guy he should be beating easily, but the nobody is actually making a comeback against the world's #1 player, which means that Sports Night is delayed (side note: I'd love to find out how CSC got the rights to the U.S. Open). It also means that Dana might have to cancel her date with Gordon, Rebecca won't be able to see her first live broadcast of the show, and Dana might have to hand the show over to Sally's 2am show.
But it gives Jeremy time to write a letter to his sister Louise, who's in college but is thinking about quitting because of boyfriend problems.
