Bravo is developing a new reality series called Money Shot that pits photographers against one another for the chance to have their pictures appear in the pages of People. The photographers will take place in a number of different competitions and have their work judged by a panel of experts who either work as photographers, or who have been shot by famous photographers. I'm not entirely sure why having your picture taken makes you an expert anymore than listening to music makes you a musician, but no one at Bravo has asked me, so what the heck do I know?

The new series is currently in development. No word yet on when it will air. While we wait for the series to debut, I think we should all place bets on who will be the first commenter to crack a joke about the title of this new series and its connection to the porn industry. I'll bet five bucks someone makes a joke within ten minutes of me posting this.

Revolucion: Five Visions is the latest documentary to be showcased on PBS' Independent Lens and is the second in a month-long tribute to artists and writers. The film takes a look at the Cuban revolution through the eyes of five different photographers, one of which, Raúl Corrales, was hired by Castro as his official photographer to record the unfolding revolution.

The other photographers profiled in the documentary all have varying opinions about Cuba's revolution and what it means, and their photographs represent not only their own personal philosophies, but also offer a new angle on an old debate that still divides the citizens of Cuba. The documentary is worthwhile as a history lesson, but it's really about artists trying to express what is happening around them when words alone won't do.

Revolucion: Five Visions airs tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 10 pm on PBS.

VIP Passport, a new late night series that kicks off November 3 in select markets features a group of folks from various reality series flying to some of the hottest night spots around the globe and having the time of their lives while kicking back with famous photographers, artists, designers, musicians, and whatever vapid hair-gelled meat puppets the producers decide to throw into the mix. Bored viewers who tune into the show will also be given the chance to win a new car every week, details of which can be found on the show's site, which will launch later this week along with a schedule and channel listing. The idea for the series came to the three producers, Larsen, Julien Lecomte and Dax Lugo while watching old videos of past parties at Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion. I think the point that may have escaped them is that they were actually in the Playboy Mansion at the time, which, you know, may have added to the enjoyment just a little bit.

Recently some pictures of Britney Spears were shown on this blog. Web surfers, never needing much provocation to become livid over something that doesn't really affect them personally, were up in arms over Brit's total disregard for her son's safety, who you can see is resting on his mom's lap and not in a car seat. Apparently the pictures made the rounds on some news programs, prompting Spears to release a statement where she explained that she sped off in a hurry to avoid what she considered a dangerous situation brought on by aggressive paparazzi. She claims a similar incident with photographers trapped her in her car without her baby. My speculation is that her mother instinct kicked in and she made a split-second decision, that's all. Or maybe she really is just a vacuous scatterbrain with no regard for her child's safety. I don't necessarily believe it, but it does make for a more entertaining story.
