Ellen DeGeneres nearly kills Taylor Swift
by Bob Sassone, posted Nov 2nd 2009 3:08PM
Practical jokes are funny, to a certain extent. Until someone loses an eye or something.
This clip is from an episode of Ellen last week. Taylor Swift was the guest so Ellen decided to sneak up on her as she went into her dressing room's bathroom. It doesn't look like a set-up, as Swift looks truly shocked, so my question is this: what if Swift had broken her ankle or slipped and hit her head on the toilet? She comes really close. What an embarrassing way to die that would have been. Yeah, really funny Ellen, you killed America's sweetheart in the toilet!
Swift's heels look about 9" tall.

Windy City Heat coming to DVD
by Adam Finley, posted Sep 6th 2006 5:59PM
I had completely forgotten about the Comedy Central movie Windy City Heat, a film that chronicled an elaborate practical joke in which two friends convinced their aspiring but not especially talented pal Perry Caravello that they've secured a role for him as a hardboiled private eye named "Stone Fury" in a movie called, of course, "Windy City Heat." I have only vague recollections of the film, and if memory serves I wasn't able to make it through the whole thing before giving up on it. When I found out an uncensored director's cut would be coming out on DVD on September 26, I must say I was somewhat surprised, since I heard very little about it when it aired back in 2003, and even less about it after it faded away. The movie features Don Barris and Tony Barbieri as the masterminds behind a practical joke ten years in the making, and appearances by Jimmy Kimmel, Dane Cook, Tom Kenny, and Adam Carolla, among others.
