Robin from How I Met Your Mother is pregnant???

Man, I've finally sorted through all of my confusion (how embarrassing ... ) about how Lily and Marshall on How I Met Your Mother actually aren't pregnant at all; rather, actress Alyson Hannigan is expecting in real life with her husband, Alexis Denisof of Buffy and Angel fame.
And now, this news comes across my screen? How am I to believe that the writers of How I Met Your Mother actually thought it was a good idea for Lily and Robin to be pregnant at the same time? Nevertheless, it's true, because People Magazine is reporting that Robin is pregnant.
So what's the deal? Is it Barney's baby? Now there's a real twist, and it was all foreshadowed in "Not a Father's Day" with Robin and Barney being so sweet on the sock.... What's that, you say? Robin isn't pregnant? You say Cobie Smulders, the actress who plays Robin, is expecting? I'm sure I can figure this out ...
Mad Men: Meditations in an Emergency (season finale)
(S02E13) In 1962, President Kennedy threatened to fire the missiles of October, facing down with Russia over the nuclear launch sites in Cuba. On last night's season finale of Mad Men, creator Matthew Weiner actually pulled the trigger and set off a few carefully aimed rockets guaranteed to alter the future of the series. It was a stunning climax to the second season and if you were hoping for some big twists, you got them. With little fanfare, Don came back from California. He appeared at the riding club where Betty's breath was seemingly taken away by the sight of him. No explanation. No excuses. And with a new sense of power, Betty wasn't ready to welcome him home.
Dexter: Turning Biminese

And that stands true tonight. We knew nearly everything that was going to happen, yet still I sat breathless, watching with my mouth hanging open, as the episode unfolded. Predictable? Yep. Boring? Never.
Lily and Marshall are pregnant???
Did you hear the news? Lily from How I Met Your Mother is pregnant! What? Oh, you mean ... never mind. I misspoke, lost in my fictional friends' lives for a moment.Let me try this again: Alyson Hannigan, the actress who plays Lily on HIMYM, is pregnant in real life. And do you know who the father is? I think we won't find out until the series finale; they've really been stringing us along with all of the potential love interests. What's that? Oh, man....
Sorry to confuse you: we do know who the father is. Wesley Wyndham Price from Buffy and Angel. I know, I know, I was confused, too. I thought he was in love with Lilah. When she died he was so sad, and he ended up sleeping with that heiress, what's-her-name? Huh? Nah, that can't be. Really?
OK, I think I've got it straight: Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof are expecting their first child this spring. The child will be in real life, and Lily may or may not be pregnant on HIMYM. Apparently, the two are unrelated. How can that be...?
Swingtown: Take it to the Limit (season finale)
(S01E13) The summer's officially over on Swingtown, marked by Tom's Labor Day clambake at the shore, which turned out to also be a key party. Now that the first season of the show has come to an end, it's clear that while they explored hot topics like open marriage, wife-swapping and group sex, the essence of the show was not titillation or a guide page by page through The Joys of Sex. Swingtown was about the characters, three families and the changing times in 1976.
Questions, questions. Will Tom and Trina keep the baby? The Deckers are the open marriage couple and they've enjoyed the freedom to swing. But how amazing is it that they are the marriage that's in synch! They actually talk things out and share what they're thinking. You can't say that about the Thompsons and Millers.
It's a girl for The Office's Angela Kinsey
If you haven't noticed lately, Angela on The Office has been doing her acting while hiding behind papers, desks, tables, etc. That's because she was very pregnant while filming the last few episodes of this season.Today, People is reporting that she gave birth to a baby girl! Angela and her husband, TV writer Warren Lieberstein, named their daughter Isabel Ruby Lieberstein (so cute!). The baby was born on Saturday. She was just about average size, weighing in at 6 pounds, 14 ounces (average is about 7 lbs for a newborn). The Office co-star, Jenna Fischer, was there for the birth, as was Angela's mom, Bertie. No word on how the labor and delivery went, but it sounds like everybody is fine.
Before her baby was born, Kinsey blogged about letting the public see her little darling. She said she's "on the fence" about a photo shoot for a magazine. On one hand, she says, it's a neat scrapbook item for them. On the other, it may be too much of an invasion of privacy. We'll just have to wait and see how she feels about it now that Isabel Ruby is here.
PR at its finest? Amy Poehler is pregnant!
File this one under "perfect freakin' timing."
Following a stellar weekend at the box office for the Tina Fey/Amy Poehler comedy Baby Mama (it won the weekend), comes word that Poehler is actually pregnant. According to People, Poehler and husband Will Arnett are due this fall. They've been hitched since 2003. In Hollywood, that's like being married for an eternity. Good for them.
Seriously, though, could this announcement have come at a better time? People are already buzzing about Baby Mama and now this. Her PR reps and agents must be salivating at the news. Maybe I'm jaded or overly negative, but I find it hard to believe that this wasn't a wee bit planned - the news, not the kid. I mean, c'mon. She's pregnant and she's in a movie where she's pregnant. If it tanks, announce the good news whenever you feel like it. But if it does well, which it did, then you've got one hell of a push for the film's marketing campaign.

Holy crap: Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant
How do you compete when your older sister is Britney Spears? Little Jamie Lynn, a mere 16 years old, has topped her sister's head-shaving and child services investigation antics with this bombshell: SHE'S PREGNANT.Jamie Lynn is the star of Nickelodeon's Zoey 101, a show that I have never seen but assume is for the pre-teen set. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that show is probably canceled. Nickelodeon's official statement is in support of Jamie Lynn and "her decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation."
The baby daddy is Jamie Lynn's boyfriend, Casey Aldridge. She met him at church.
Somebody needs go give grandma Lynn Spears a drink. Or a parenting class.
The Office's Angela is pregnant, which is highly inappropriate
While I'm sure her Office alter-ego would find an unwed pregnancy extremely unprofessional, real-life Angela Kinsey and her husband are very excited to be expecting their first child in May, according to Zap2It.com. Assuming the pesky strike ends before the season does, one would assume writers will either have to work the pregnancy into the show or work around it with strategically placed filing cabinets and Angela walking around holding her clipboard constantly.
Without a Trace writes Poppy Montgomery's pregnancy into show
Actress Poppy Montgomery's real-life pregnancy will be written into this next season of Without a Trace. Montgomery, 35, is expecting a son in December with her boyfriend Adam Kaufman. Montgomery told TV Guide that her character, FBI agent Sam Spade, will be pregnant on the show. Her character will be put in several life-and-death situations, which will be so much more dire than usual because she's carrying a child. The biggest mystery, however, is who is Sam's baby daddy? I'm a little behind on my Without a Trace, but I know she has had affairs with both her boss and her co-worker, but I thought those were both over. Montgomery is having a hard time keeping that a secret. She says, "I have to bite my tongue because I'm busting to tell everybody. There are a number of people in the mix. I think it will be quite surprising." Sounds like Sam's been sleeping around!

Julianna Margulies is pregnant
Actress Julianna Margulies is reportedly pregnant and due sometime in the winter. She's extremely private about her life so it's not clear whether she'll actually confirm the information. She's also reportedly engaged to her boyfriend, Keith Lieberthal.Margulies is best known for her character, Carol, on ER. She's returning to television as a "rebellious" attorney who takes a liberal view of the law in order to protect the innocent in Canterbury's Law. Fox has not released a premiere date yet for her new show but it is expected to appear sometime in the mid-season. TV Guide is reporting that Margulies does not want the pregnancy written into the script, so expect to see a lot of creative camera work to hide the belly.
Jenna Elfman and her baby play basketball - VIDEO
If you've been searching the Web today trying to find video of a pregnant woman playing basketball, I'd like to say, "welcome."
At the bottom of this post, courtesy of Funny or Die, is a short clip featuring actress Jenna Elfman taking part in a game of B-ball, complete with trash talk and everything. That might be kinda humorous, but add in the fact that she's also pregnant and I'd say that's pretty damn funny. Elfman has a lot of great lines, but my favorite comes toward the end as she's walking off the court and tosses the ball away.
I'd love to see a whole series done this way, with Elfman playing a different sport in every video. I've always been a fan of Elfman's, though I never really liked Dharma and Greg. Funny, that.
Anyway, check out the video below. It does contain some bad language, so be warned.
ABC renews October Road, Notes from the Underbelly
The Upfronts are this week, but already information is starting to leak about which shows are being renewed by which networks. The latest news is that ABC has renewed two newcomers: October Road and Notes from the Underbelly.I haven't seen October Road, but Paul says it's an awful lot like Ed. I have, however, seen Notes from the Underbelly and I am quite shocked that it's getting a second season. You see, I come to this from a unique perspective because I am a pregnant woman and I find the entire show to be completely ridiculous. I watched the first four episodes because I wanted to like it and to have my own special pregnant-lady show to watch (A Baby Story is just waaaay too much labor). But I can't stand it. The characters are stereotypes to the extreme and their situations are always taken to the most illogical conclusion. I can't identify with any of them. But, as Liz says, maybe it's a show only a mommy can love.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck is pregnant again
Another big announcement came from The View today. Elisabeth Hasselbeck is pregnant with her second child! Barbara Walters actually appeared surprised at the news because she said, "When you said you had an announcement, my heart sank!" Walters was, of course, referencing Rosie's big announcement last week that she is leaving The View in June. It's no surprise, really. Elisabeth's been wearing empire-waist shirts and E! and all the other celebrity-obsessed organizations have been speculating about her possible pregnancy for a while now.
Elisabeth and her husband, pro football player Tim Hasselbeck, have a 2-year old daughter named Grace. The second child is due in November, just in time for sweeps.
My Name is Earl: The Birthday Party
(S02E16) Earl Hickey has done a lot of good things over the past year. But he's got an enormously long list of bad things to cross off his list, and we've seen him add things he's forgotten or accumulate more misdeeds along his way to karmic balance plenty of times. So it shouldn't be any surprise that if you gather the residents of Camden County into one room, you're going to learn about a lot of things Earl's done that he's now sorry for.At first I thought this episode was going to be the old sit-com staple: the clip show. I'm glad I was wrong, but I'm not entirely convinced it was much better than a clip show.
