Michael Faces Bad Guys With a Forklift as His Weapon on 'Burn Notice' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 4th 2011 6:45AM
'Burn Notice' - 'Damned If You Do''Burn Notice' (Thu., 10PM ET on USA) returned to bring us more of the same kind of danger, adventure and fun we've come to love and expect each summer. And Michael never fails to leave an impression.

This week, he did so quite literally, with some quick thinking and a handily placed forklift. Even more fortuitous, he had a huge box lifted high. Now, a box doesn't sound like much when you're facing guys in an SUV with their guns blazing, but it's all in how you use the tools you do have.

Michael drove straight towards them like a game of chicken, only to slam on the brakes and dive out of the forklift when it got right in front of the SUV. The bad guys stopped, too, but by that time, the forklift was tipping forward and that giant metal container was crushing their roof. Bad guys incapacitated!

'Pretty Little Liars' Season 2 Premiere: The Most Scandalous Moments

Pretty Little Liars season 2 premiereI didn't know how much I missed the nonstop drama of the 'Pretty Little Liars' ladies -- seriously, even their secrets have secrets -- until I watched Tuesday's Season 2 premiere.

After you get past the fact that there are way too many beautiful people for such a small Pennsylvania town, the blackmail/backstabbing/clandestine teacher-student affairs are ultra-addicting. Perfect for my spartan summer TV-watching schedule.

After the jump, here are my favorite ridiculous moments from the Season 2 premiere.

'Pretty Little Liars' Winter Premiere: Which Secrets Were Revealed?

by Jean Bentley, posted Jan 4th 2011 10:15AM
'Pretty Little Liars'A hushed silence that descended last night upon the ABC Family-equipped homes of teen girls (and those who love television made for teen girls). Why? The mid-season premiere of 'Pretty Little Liars,' obvs.

No shame here -- 'PLL' is the best kind of addicting TV, revealing just enough info each week to keep us on the hook. Though the identity of both A and Alison's killer are still unknown -- you didn't really think they'd let that slip yet, did you? -- a bunch of juicy info came to light during last night's episode.

The Littlest Diva on 'Toddlers & Tiaras' (VIDEO)

The Littlest Diva on 'Toddlers & Tiaras' It's all happening. Yes, it's the season premiere of 'Toddlers & Tiaras'! The series has only been gone for a few months -- but still, there's been a 'Toddlers & Tiaras'-shaped hole in our lives. We've missed it all so much! Overbearing parents forcing little kids to go onstage! Creepy makeup! Hairspray! Temper tantrums! ... Good times, good times.

On the new episode (Wed., 10PM ET on TLC), we're reunited with Makenzie, a returning toddler from last season. Last time around, Makenzie behaved very badly. And this time around ... she's behaving very very badly. Makenzie is only 4 years old, but she's already a "diva."

While preparing for the Miss Arizona Gold Coast Beauty Pageant -- a very important pageant that only the people on this show have ever heard of -- Makenzie starts yelling and pouting and crying. She wants her "Ni-Ni"! Her Ni-Ni! Her Ni-Ni!

Jeez, okay, fine! But wait. ... What is a "Ni-Ni," anyway?

A Couple Bets $800,000 on Post-It Notes, on 'Million Dollar Money Drop' (VIDEO)

A Couple Bets $800,000 on Post-It Notes, on 'Million Dollar Money Drop'Most game shows give you the prize at the end. The new series 'Million Dollar Money Drop' (Mon., 8PM ET on Fox) reverses this concept. Players are given $1 million to start with -- the test is whether they can hang on to it.

Contestants must answer seven multiple-choice questions to keep the $1 million. But if they guess wrong, the money is lost ... literally. It plummets away forever, falling through a trap door. The first players are a couple named Gabe and Brittany. They get this question:

WHICH OF THESE WAS SOLD IN STORES FIRST? -- A) The Macintosh Computer. B) The Sony Walkman. C) The Post-It Note.

The pair has $880,000 left. Gabe is sure the answer is "Post-It Note." Brittany is sure it's "Walkman." Gabe convinces her to bet $800,000 of their cash on Post-Its. "Ohhh, that's a lot of money," his girlfriend says. Do you know the answer? ... Is Gabe right?

'The Sing-Off' Season Premiere: Viral Video Stars Do Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance' (VIDEO)

'The Sing-Off' Season Premiere: Viral Video Stars Do Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance'The combination of amateur singers, famous songs and national TV could be a great concept. Or, it could be a terrible one. The premiere of 'The Sing-Off' (Mon., 8PM ET on NBC) left it up to the viewers to decide.

The reality show features ten amateur singing groups -- all competing for a recording contract and a $100,000 prize. Season Two started with a bang, of sorts. Viral video sensation 'On the Rocks' performed their rendition of Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance.' If you're not familiar with this song, here are some of the lyrics:

Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah-ah! Roma-roma-mamaa!
Ga-ga-ooh-la-la! Want your bad romance

Now, imagine those words filtered through the vocal stylings of a bunch of guys from the University of Oregon, and you should have a good idea of what 'The Sing-Off' is all about.

'Bridalplasty' Series Premiere: Welcome to the End of Civilization (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Nov 29th 2010 5:46AM
'Bridalplasty' Series Premiere: Welcome to the End of Civilization'Bridalplasty' is the type of reality show you would come up with -- if you were making fun of reality shows. Say, for example, if you were sitting around with your friends, pitching ridiculous TV ideas: "Hey, what if they put 12 brides-to-be in a house together, and made them fight it out to get plastic surgery?"

Well, we no longer have to dream the impossible dream. 'Bridalplasty' (Sun., 9PM ET on E!), is the cosmetic-surgery-based series you never asked for. On the show, women compete to become "the perfect bride." "Perfect" in this case being defined as "adding boob jobs and tummy-tucks to your natural features."

The series is hosted by Shanna Moakler -- who just so happens to be a former beauty queen. In a bit of surgery-based synchronicity, Shanna previously ran a beauty pageant which paid for its winners' breast implants. And one of those winners was ... Carrie Prejean -- the Miss USA runner-up who became entangled in controversy, following a highly-publicized debate with Perez Hilton about gay marriage.

Has 'The Biggest Loser' Gone Too Far? (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Sep 22nd 2010 7:02AM
Has 'The Biggest Loser' Gone Too Far?And we're back for the tenth season of 'The Biggest Loser' (Tues., 8PM ET on NBC). In general, Americans are getting more and more obese, and so it could be argued that this reality series serves an actual valuable function -- by reminding us of the importance of weight loss and exercise. Or, it could be argued that the show is just voyeuristic exploitation, pure and simple.

[Warning: Spoiler alert.]

The premiere episode of the new season seemed to err on the side of "exploitation." At the very least, it contained a somewhat disturbing moment. For the new contestants to make it onto the show, they had to complete one of two challenges -- they had to either run a mile, or do 500 "step-ups."
