'24': Who's REALLY Dead?
by Adam Keleman, posted Jan 16th 2010 3:00PM
'24,' a show known for cutting corners occasionally on time (Can Jack really get from the Valley to CTU in under 10 mins?), is still based on a real-to-life world; when a person gets shot, they usually are gone for good. That's what is so effective about its premise: Thoroughly developing characters that grab the attention of the audience, be it good or bad, and allow fate to run its deathly course. There are times, though, when the details of a character's death are somewhat inconclusive, undoubtedly shrouded in mystery (What happened to Tony?!). So we took it upon ourselves to list some of our favorite deceased '24' characters, scrutinizing their untimely demise -- to see if things were how they seemed...or not.
Chat live as Jack Bauer saves the world

Someone asked last week if there was going to be anyone left standing after this season of 24. To be
honest, I have no idea. It's certainly looking like that isn't it? Let's see who's been on for more than one season and
is still alive-- Wayne Palmer, the recently assassinated president's brother, who is currently running for his life
through sewers from mysterious men. Aaron Pierce, the stalwart secret service agent, who's already had a couple of
close calls and was last seen canoodling with the First Lady. Chloe O'Brian, the ever annoyed computer technician who
has stayed by Jack's side when most wouldn't. Will any of these regulars make it through the night, let alone the end
of the season? Sound off and let me know, then join me back here at 8pm EST to this very post and
that's when I'll unveil the location for the super secret chat room. As with all of our chats, you'll need AIM or a
compatible messenger, so make sure you have one and I'll see you tonight. Gravitas!UPDATE:

The Unit: 200th Hour

Now as most of you have gathered by now, I'm not a huge fan of this show. My plan was to
give it three episodes, and if it didn't sway me, then I'd walk away. Last night's episode was the third installment,
so that means I'm walkin'.
Now I went in to this planning on writing a less harsh review because, believe it or not, I do read all the comments people write and I realize that many folks love this show. However, I won't have to try too hard at doing so because this episode wasn't that bad. It's easily the best of the first three.

New week, new hour in the day of, the one, the only, Jack Bauer.
The 24 Live Chats have been getting such a great reaction, that we're going to be doing them on a permanent
basis. So as long as you guys keep demanding them and we keep getting a good turnout, we'll keep doing them. Make sure
you check back to TV Squad tonight at 8pm EST, and we'll unveil the location of the chat room. As with all of our
chats, you must be using either AOL's AIM or a compatible chat client (GAIM,
Trillian, etc) to enter the room. I'll be in there under the user ID of TVSRyan and Tom Biro (TVSquadTom) will probably
be joining us this week again as well. Just think, after tonight, we'll already be a 1/4 of the way done with what may
be Jack's final day. Funny how time flies. Come join us tonight as we help Jack Bauer make it through one more day.

Frankly, I'm still flabbergasted at the casting of Sean Astin, and the waxing of Michelle and President Palmer. Leading into this week's recap, I figured to notice something that would catch me off guard or perhaps show something I needed to think more about. There wasn't too much big stuff, but after re-watching the first hour a few nights ago, I definitely see the concern that Palmer has on his face before commenting to his brother about being distracted because of his memoirs - clearly that's not all of it. Was he foretelling what was going to happen with the Russians and the treaty? Was he aware of the plot against him? So many questions!
And Chloe, with a tattoo! Jack leaves town for 18 months and the whole place comes crashing down!

Hey guys and gals, our 24 Live Chats have been getting
such a great reaction, that we've decided to extend them beyond just the season premiere! So as long as you guys keep

anything be able to top the shocks of last week's premiere? It's hard to say, but I'd put money on "yes".
