But it's impossible to deny that the likes of 'American Idol,' 'So You Think You Can Dance,' and 'The Sing-Off' exposed us to an incredible array of unique (and at times bizarre) talent in 2010. Many of our favorite reality talent show contestants this year weren't the ones who ended up winning; it was often the zaniest, most original acts that left the biggest impressions. Prior to Nick announcing the results, our latest TV Squad poll placed Jackie Evancho as winner with close to 20 percent more votes than Prince Poppycock, who took second place. Fighting Gravity was in third while Michael Grimm placed fourth.

In a shocking finale outcome, singer Michael Grimm triumphed over early favorite, 10-year-old opera singer Jackie Evancho, to win the $1 million prize and a Las Vegas show.

"Is this really happening?" asked the 30-year-old singer in disbelief, then screamed, "Yes!"

America's Got TalentDespite dark horses stepping up their games, there weren't any real surprises when the 'America's Got Talent' final 4 were revealed to be Prince Poppycock, Michael Grimm, Jackie Evancho and Fighting Gravity.

"The four that made it into the finals have kind of been the favorites the entire time," noted host Nick Cannon. "It's tough because of the great performances we had [in the Top 10.] But America chose the ones it felt like it always wanted to choose."

Is Cannon ever even tempted to read a name other than the one written on the card?

"No. I just hope I don't say the wrong name," Cannon laughed. "It's live TV so I have to focus on exactly what those cards say."

Let's start on a high note: The first act that made it to the season's final four: Prince Poppycock.

The performer had a message for the nation's ridiculed children. "I want to say to every kid out there that feels picked on and feels like an outsider: I want you to believe that life is magical, and I want you to look at me right now and understand that dreams can come true."

'America's Got Talent' Finalists Give Stellar Performances (VIDEO)

Prince Poppycock Sings on 'America's Got Talent'The 10 finalists of 'America's Got Talent' (Wed., 9PM ET on NBC) offered new tricks, new songs, new stunts and new moves -- anything and everything to reserve one of four spots in the finale.

Highlights included a Studio One Young Beast Society dancer doing flip-flops on the hands and feet of her fellow dancers. Prince Poppycock performed a "Love Letter to America" dressed like a flashier Uncle Sam and singing the patriotic "Yankee Doodle Dandy." Sharon Osbourne described Jackie Evancho's opera tune as "heavenly."

Sadly, Anna tripped at the beginning of her performance with ballroom-dancing partner Patryk. But she wasn't hurt, and kept right on going. Howie Mandel told her, "Don't feel bad. You were wonderful."

'America's Got Talent': Who Will Be the First Finalists?Well, it's been a long road to make it to this point. But tonight on 'America's Got Talent' (Wed., 9PM ET on NBC), we at last got to see the first batch of contestants who heading to the final round. However, there were some twists and turns along the way.

[Spoiler alert.]

The initial group of potential finalists consisted of: ArcAttack, Future Funk, Dan Sperry, and Christina Young. Host Nick Cannon stood at the side of the stage, and read from a card announcing the winner of this group. And the winner was ... none of them. "Wow," Nick said. "No one is moving on." That's the first time this has happened all season, and the judges looked shocked. "Is that real?" Howie Mandel asked. Yes; yes it was. The entire group was sent home.

The fairly bizarre singer -- who is best described as sort of a "glam rock opera diva" (or something), was able to pull off a fairly incredible rendition of the song 'Bohemian Rhapsody.'
