Kate Walsh Talks About Her 'Private Practice' Pregnancy Love Triangle (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 18th 2011 3:45PM
Kate Walsh's 'Private Practice' character Addison Montgomery wants to get pregnant. The only trouble is, her on-screen boyfriend Sam Bennett, played by Taye Diggs, isn't quite on the same page. Addison goes to Jake Riley, a fertility doctor played by Benjamin Bratt, for "help getting pregnant," but we hear the lines in their patient/doctor relationship start to get blurred.

Walsh went on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC) to talk about the new developments, but remained cagey about the looming love triangle. "We want that to happen for your character ... he offered you a baby," Kit Hoover said. "Well, he is an IVF specialist ... how convenient for us," Walsh said.

When guest co-host Aisha Tyler ran through all the recent drama in Violet's life -- pregnancy, kidnapping and calling off a wedding -- Brenneman told the panel that this season, Violet "is the stable force ... in her own crazy, neurotic way." Violet's husband Pete, played by Tim Daly, had a heart attack at the end of last season and Brenneman said that was her character's "come to Jesus moment."

Thursday-Night Shows Hit With Low Ratings

by Brad Trechak, posted Apr 23rd 2010 3:00PM

SurvivorThis is either a hiccup or a sign of things to come: Ratings for most of the shows that aired last night were down, according to the Live Feed.

The ratings winner was CBS, who aired 'Survivor,' 'CSI' (which tied its all-time series low, with 13.3 million viewers and a 2.8 rating in the 18-49 demo) and 'The Mentalist.'

Fox placed second with 'Bones' and 'Fringe,' which pulled in 8.8 million and 5.9 million viewers, respectively.

Meanwhile, things didn't turn out well on the NBC front: 'Community' hit a series low, with a measly 3.9 million viewers,' while 'The Office' (6.4 million) and a double-feature of '30 Rock' (4.2 million, 5.2 million) hit season lows.

Derek Shepherd's Little Sister Visits 'Private Practice' (VIDEO)

Private Practice, Dr. Shepherd's little sister, AmeliaLittle Shepherd! That's what we'll call Derek Shepherd's little sister, Amelia, who showed up on 'Private Practice' (Thu., 10PM ET on ABC) with some information that could change a patient's life.

And excuse us, but even if you're a hotshot neurosurgeon (cough! – Dr. Ginsberg – cough!), wouldn't you at least hear a doctor out if there was the slightest chance that it could save a person's life? Give your ego a rest, that's all we're saying.

Private Practice, Surrogate MomIt's a 'Private Practice' (Thu., 10PM ET on ABC) miracle! And also a complicated miracle, as is usually the case when the Oceanside Wellness docs are involved.

The docs are ordered to keep a surrogate mother alive until her fetuses are viable outside her body. But when her husband disconnects her breathing apparatus, she breathes on her own! Something tells us this case just got a whole lot more complicated.

Private Practice, Cooper and Sheldon fightSometimes the doctors at Oceanside Wellness seem like they're in the third grade. We can't even recall how many times fist-fights have broken out on 'Private Practice' (Thu., 10PM ET on ABC), but suffice to say they happen quite often.

This week, Cooper and Sheldon got into a wrestling match in the break room, and the rest of the staff started gathering outside the window until Charlotte broke it up. Awww ... we wanted to see who would win!

by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 19th 2010 3:05AM
Private Practice, Sam and AddisonThings are heating up between Pete and Addison on 'Private Practice' (Thu., 10PM ET on ABC) which is just awkward all the way around for Sam. In fact, he doesn't even want to see her at this point, but he's trying to put things aside for his daughter's wedding.

It's a tough choice, because Addison has great chemistry with both of these guys. And really, it's a high class problem, isn't it? Neither one is hard to look at.

Who do you like Addison with – Sam or Pete?

Sam and Addison Kiss on 'Private Practice' (VIDEO)

Sam and Addison kiss on 'Private Practice' Ooh, we noticed those sparks flying between Sam and Addison on 'Private Practice' (Thurs., 10PM on ABC) -- even before they did. But not everybody thinks their coupling is a good idea. "What about Naomi?" they say.

Well, you know what? Sam and Naomi are ancient history, and why shouldn't Sam hook up with Addison? Should the fact that Addison and Naomi are best friends enter into it? Sam is a free agent, right?

We think these two are perfect for each other, and the kiss in last night's episode just confirms it. So there.

Review: Grey's Anatomy - Blink

by Michael Pascua, posted Jan 15th 2010 12:40AM
Mark and Addison discuss.
(S06E11) I'll be the first person to admit that I loved Addison on Grey's Anatomy, but I hate Private Practice. Whenever crossovers happen, I never watch the Private Practice half and yet the storyline isn't lost by me. It's one of those ABC ploys for me to watch another show, and I'm not having it. The episode did make me miss Addison. She melded perfectly into Seattle Grace with her interactions with Callie, Bailey, Mark, and Derek as if she wasn't a guest character.

Overall, the episode continued its strong, character-driven direction this season and felt like a return to the core characters with Bailey's frankness, Cristina's determination, and Meredith's stereotypical facial expression she gives.
