'Big Love': The Final Season Countdown Begins With New Teaser Trailer
by Jean Bentley, posted Dec 7th 2010 6:00PM
Not much plot is revealed in HBO's new 37-second teaser trailer for the final season of 'Big Love,' but we know one thing for sure: It's going to be epic. From the ominous music to the even ominous-er (okay, more ominous) dialogue -- "I don't care about the church or the state," spits Bill Henrickson; "We're all unholy," laments his first wife Barb -- the fifth and final season of HBO's polygamist drama is sure to go out with a bang.
Plus, at long last, Nicki has finally gotten herself a haircut.

Get Ready for Jane Lynch on 'Saturday Night Live' (VIDEO)
by Ryan McKee, posted Oct 6th 2010 4:30PM
The promos for Jane Lynch's 'SNL' hosting debut are shot, edited and online. These types of spots are usually a little awkward and full of schtick. We're not saying these are not, but Lynch has the unique ability to deliver any line well. Alongside cast member Fred Armisen, they joke about her height, chocoholics and a gigantic hand. Let's see if we can guess any of the sketches 'SNL' will be doing with Lynch on the show. There will no doubt be a 'Glee' parody. Something political -- we can see Lynch playing a Mama Grizzly going after Armison's Obama.
'Smaville' Season 10 Promo: The Super Suit, Lionel Luthor and Mopey Music!
by Mike Moody, posted Sep 17th 2010 10:30AM
Attention, 'Smallville' junkies -- the end is near, but it's not time to say goodbye to Clark Kent and friends just yet. Season 10 is right around the corner (premiering Sept. 24), and The CW has just released a new promo video that chronicles Clark's epic journey from friendly farm boy to big city hero.
The latest promo for the show's final season gives us another look at the classic blue and red Superman suit, plus shots of Hawkman soaring over Metropolis, a resurrected Lionel Luthor (John Glover) and Clark flying through the clouds.
Jay Leno's 'Tonight Show' Promo Gets a Music Makeover
by Danny Gallagher, posted Feb 24th 2010 9:00AM
NBC has been recycling their 'Jay Leno Show' promos to prep for Leno's return to 'The Tonight Show' slot. Could there be a clearer metaphor?
Anyway, the new promos have been using a cover version of the Beatles' "Get Back" to not-so-subtly greet the host back from prime time hell. But one very clever YouTube user found a much more appropriate song to accompany Jay on his return back to 11:30 p.m.

Here's the New Promo for Leno's 'Tonight Show' Return
by Bob Sassone, posted Feb 18th 2010 1:34PM
Did you see the first promo for Jay Leno's return to 'The Tonight Show?' It aired during the Olympics last night, and here it is if you missed it. It's a take-off on the promo NBC had for 'The Jay Leno Show,' only this time the "10" is replaced.
In related news, USA Today is reporting that NBC said no to another promo idea. It would have shown Jay in the shower, talking to Victoria Principal, a la Bobby Ewing on 'Dallas,' saying that the last year didn't really happen. That would have been funny (if a bit cruel to Conan).

Sneak Peek: the Second Season of 'Southland'
by Bob Sassone, posted Feb 1st 2010 4:35PM
So 'Southland' fans: have you been watching the repeat episodes of the show on TNT? I would hope so, since you battled hard and long for the show to come back.
When the network picked up the show from NBC, there were several new episodes that NBC didn't show. Those start on TNT March 2. Here's a sneak peek. [via SpoilerTV.com]

Taylor Lautner is pretty adorable in his SNL promos
by Kona Gallagher, posted Dec 9th 2009 5:02PM
Here is what I know about Taylor Lautner: 1) He is in New Moon, the second film in the über-popular Twilight series, but instead of a sparkly vampire, he plays a werewolf. 2) Lots of ladies like seeing him with his shirt off, and 3) Said ladies feel dirty afterward because he's only 17 and they are... slightly older than 17.
Lautner is hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend, and NBC has just released two short promos that he did with Kristen Wiig, and it looks like they're trying to bond. In the first one, Wiig talks about how she used to think that she was a werewolf, and in the second, Lautner tells Wiig that he really likes her-- because she reminds him of his mom. Aw, poor Kristen Wiig. A lot of non-teen Twilight fans know how you feel.
I've never actually heard this guy speak before, but he seems downright adorable, so I have high hopes for his episode. His alleged girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was on last month and gave audiences what was arguably the best episode of the season, so hopefully she gave him some pointers.

Psych does Private Eyes like Hall and Oates
by Allison Waldman, posted Dec 6th 2009 4:00PM
They're at it again! This time instead of Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney doing "Ebony and Ivory," Shawn and Gus are re-creating Hall and Oates doing "Private Eyes." And this time, the rest of the cast are included as private eyes, too.The Psych team is nothing if not original when it comes to their promotions. The only thing missing in this one is a pineapple.
Before taking a look at the video, just a reminder that Psych is coming back on Wednesday, January 27 at 10 p.m.
New promo for Friday Night Lights
by Jonathan Toomey, posted Oct 11th 2009 1:36PM
With the return of Friday Night Lights right around the corner (it premieres on Wednesday, October 28, at 9PM on DirecTV's 101 Network), there's been a lot of talk about who's returning, who isn't, and just what the heck is gonna happen now that Eric (Kyle Chandler) is coaching the East Dillon Lions and not the Dillon Panthers anymore. There's been plenty of news, too, regarding new characters and how the good-bye arcs for favorites like Matt (Zach Gilford), Tyra (Adrianne Palicki), and Lyla (Minka Kelly) are going to play out
Well, DirecTV has finally released a short promo for the new season and guess what? Despite the fact that it features new footage (as opposed to a recycled season three montage), it gives us absolutely nothing.
But it is pretty damn cool to look at. The set up of a tornado-esque storm ripping apart Dillon and culminating in a rift across the football field while everyone just sort of casually watches and walks away is pretty poetic. You know what else would be poetic? Seeing Eric shove his fist down Joe McCoy's throat in the season four premiere. We can only hope.
Gearing up for Grey's Anatomy season six
by Michael Pascua, posted Aug 25th 2009 11:26AM
With a month to go, the news about T.R. Knight leaving Grey's Anatomy finally comes to the forefront with one of the first previews for the sixth season. The preview spends the first 15 seconds at the end of season five, so fans only get 15 juicy seconds of new clips. The clip is nothing out of the ordinary for Grey's viewers: flashes of white, screaming people's names, faces of panic and running around. The big fans can dissect each scene and realize that there isn't much to analyze.
Here's hoping that the preview actually takes place in the first ten minutes of the show. If I get a lot of unnecessary George flashback for the first hour, I will have to find something to gag myself with.
The Venture Bros. Season four promo
by Brad Trechak, posted Aug 20th 2009 10:02AM
Adult Swim has put a three and a half minute promotional video for The Venture Bros. Season 4 on their site. To save you folks a click, I've embedded it here at the end of the article. The intro goes immediately into silliness, noting various significances of the number four, most of which are completely ludicrous. In the preview, Hank is sporting a different haircut, and I have no idea what's happening with Dean. He seems to be bonding with his father, among other strange misfortunes.
Brock is only in a quick clip with a shaven head without a clue as to what's happened to him since he quit his bodyguard position. The Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend only appear in a brief segment, as well. It's weird to see 21 without his henchman outfit.
All Dexter really needs is some time to kill
by Bob Sassone, posted Aug 5th 2009 8:30PM
I haven't seen much of Dexter, but promos like this make me want to go out and get the DVDs. It shows our serial killer hero faced with new pressures: wife, kids, a messy house, and the pressure to find some time for extracurricular activities.

Michael Westen welcomes the Royal Pains guy
by Bob Sassone, posted Jun 4th 2009 1:25PM
In case you've forgotten, the new season of Burn Notice starts tonight at 9 (new time, and USA is having an all-day marathon of the past season today). But there's also a new show on USA Network debuting at 10 tonight called Royal Pains, about a doctor (Mark Fuerstein) getting involved in various cases in the Hamptons. Wouldn't it be great to see Michael Westen welcome the doctor to the USA family? Here you go.
Life & death and Brothers & Sisters - VIDEO
by Allison Waldman, posted Mar 2nd 2009 12:29PM
So, if you saw the preview for last night's special two-hour Brothers & Sisters, you were anticipating that someone was going to die. Then, if you surfed the net, there were all kinds of rumors and spoilers that something life-altering was going to happen. Would it be Tommy? What about Kitty and Robert's newborn, coming via surrogate mom? Would Nora keel over from all that running in the hospital hallways? Maybe it was going to be something from left field, like Uncle Saul gagging on a wine cork and kicking the bucket? Imagine my shock and surprise when all the build up turned out to be something unexpected. If you haven't watched it yet, I'll save it for after the jump.
New Gossip Girl promos are online - VIDEOS
by Kona Gallagher, posted Aug 15th 2008 1:06PM
Can't. Stop. Talking. About. Gossip. Girl. It's true, it's an impossibility. Gossip Girl, the random, trashy, highly buzzed about but low-rated CW drama, is returning for its second season on September 1st. Recently, The CW has released some teasers to catch us up on what everybody's favorite perfectly-coiffed Upper East Siders are up to. Basically, they're still having sex and backstabbing one another, but this time it's in The Hamptons!I've got to admit that I'm ashamed of myself for being this excited about Gossip Girl's return. It's cheesy and silly, and is definitely not a replacement for The CW's oft-mourned Veronica Mars. Regardless, seeing the gang (minus the Humphreys) in these promos was nice--in a very similar way to when someone you went to high school with but weren't friends with finds you on Facebook. It's interesting to see what they've been up to, but you're still pretty sure you're not going to be besties.
The (spoilery) videos are after the jump.
