Remember that post I did this past weekend where I called Help Me Help You the "least publicized show of 2006?" Well, now we know why ABC hasn't publicized it at all: it looks like they're pretty much done with it.

According to Cynopsis, the Ted Danson comedy has been pulled from next week's schedule, running back-to-back episodes of Big Day instead. Now, that could have been done because of the holiday, but they could have also scheduled a repeat, too. Anyway, the article states that ABC hasn't announced anything official, but there's also "no word" on when it's returning to the schedule.

As I pointed out in my Sunday post on the show, the ratings have been dismal, especially since Dancing with the Stars ended. So this isn't a big surprise.

There is speculation that ABC, bowing to protests by former President Clinton and other Democratic supporters, may pull the movie The Path to 9/11, which is set to air this weekend.

Variety writer William Triplett reports that, while ABC publicly stands by the movie and is saying small last-minute edits are being made to the entire program, insiders are saying that they might pull the entire thing. This is the same the "path of least resistance" tactic that CBS used when they pulled their miniseries The Reagans when Republican groups protested the movie unfairly portrayed Ronal Reagan's presidency.

Seems like a rash move by ABC, considering it's a two-night affair. There are people -- including 9/11 Commission co-chair Tom Kean -- who have seen the movie and said it's accurate and both sides get slammed equally. So maybe everyone should just calm down and watch it to this point. At least Scholastic has pulled its participation in the program. The educational aspect was the scariest part of this whole mess.

Here's a welcome piece of news (at least to me), via our friends at The Futon Critic (and via another TVS-friendly blogger, Whitney Matheson of USAToday.com): NBC has yanked the remaining six episodes of Four Kings from the schedule, replacing them with reruns of My Name Is Earl. No word if the six leftover episodes will air, but it's not looking good. Two of the stars have already signed on to new pilots, so the show's pretty much dead. Not that I'll miss it, but it would be nice if Seth Green was starred in at least one successful show that didn't involve clay chickens, know what I mean?
