The TV chain game
I used to play this game with myself when I was bored where I would try to create "chains" by linking names and phrases together. For example, I might morph "I'm A Little Teapot" and the "Teapot Dome Scandal" into "I'm A Little Teapot Dome Scandal."
Now, someone needs to jog my memory because I know there's an actual game that also became a short-lived game show based on this same idea. While I wait for someone to remind me what that was called*, I've created another game for y'all to play. Just like my last two games, you won't win anything, but I think this one is a little more challenging that my last two.
I've written plot descriptions for twenty-one series below. Here's an example:
Hello Mr. TV President
President's Weekend is upon us, and besides looking forward to all those nifty sales being offered at your local car dealership, how else should you best commemorate this day?
Sure, our real president may be less than desirable to revere at the moment, but at least we have our TV presidents to look up to!
How well you know your TV presidents? Wonder no more and check out this quiz. I personally do not know my TV presidents because I got a 4/10 on the quiz, but maybe you'll do better. Maybe.
So you think you know your Lost?
There is not much I look forward to besides waking up to my Matthew Fox poster every morning. (Just kidding, I love my Apollo Bars and Hanso Foundation coffee mug too.)
But to those who think they are bigger Lost fans than I am, I still want to bet you that you don't know everything about the show. There is no possible way. It's not like Seinfeld, people; you can't just quote the show and call it a day.
For you Lost afficionados there is this insanely difficult quiz out there, that is touted as The Hardest Lost Quiz Ever. I have not met one person who has been able to correctly answer all the questions in this quiz.
Go ahead take it. Tell me how you do. If you do answer all of them correctly, I am only inclined to ask you to come up with a harder question. Seriously, make my day.
What do you know about Apu Nahasapeemapetilon?
So you think you know all there is to know about Kwik-E-Mart worker, father of eight and friend of the Simpsons, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, do you? BeliefNet.com has a quiz to test your knowledge of the hindu convenience store clerk, a quiz I would have easily scored 100 on if it didn't cut out the last three questions for some reason, and then penalyze me for not answering questions it never gave me in the first place. There's also a quiz based on Ned Flanders, which cut out the last question. Seriously, what the hell, people? Anyway, I'd say the quizzes are pretty darn easy for any Simpsons fan. Give 'em a spin and let me know how you did in the comments.

Which Muppet are you?
There are plenty of other things I could be doing with my time on this Sunday, but none of them are as fun as taking a handful of different Muppets personality tests on the internet. This test says I'm Fozzie Bear. This one says I'm Animal. This one thinks I'm Kermit. This one thinks I'm Statler and Waldorf.I disagree with all of them. I think the true Muppets test is just in your looks, not your personality. I think I look like Rowlf (it's the brown hair). I have a friend who is a dead ringer for Janice, one who reminds me of Fozzie Bear, and another who could totally pass for Crazy Harry. There's a Muppet for everybody!
So.. forget the stupid tests. Which Muppet do you resemble?
Don't forget! Pop Culture IQ Test tonight
VH1 is hosting two tests tonight on its website for a
new game show, The World Series of Pop Culture. At 7 pm or 10 pm (ET), you can log on to this website and take the pop culture
quiz. There are six sections, with 10 questions each. You have six minutes to complete each section, but only the
fastest to answer will make it through to the interview session with the producers. From that pool, VH1 will choose
three people to be on a Wild Card team when it hosts the pop culture tournament in New York City on the weekend of
April 28-30.I took the sample quiz and it was a breeze, with lots of references to '80s and early '90s television shows and movies such as Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Cosby Show, and Seinfeld. Good luck!
[Thanks, Lee!]
A new way to get on Jeopardy
Answer: What is the
internet?Correct! For a limited time only, Jeopardy! is seeking out fans over this crazy thing we call the internet. From March 28-30 on its website, Jeopardy! will offer a 50-question, general knowledge quiz that potential contestants can take. Each day is designated for a specific time zone. The idea is for this test to reach out to people all over the United States, not just in the cities where Jeopardy! holds auditions. If you pass the test, you may be selected for an interview, an audition, and another test, and then you could be on the show!
If you get on, I dare you to do Darrell Hammond's Sean Connery. I DARE YOU.
Which Sci Fi crew should you be on?
Yet
another quiz to keep you occupied for a few minutes this weekend.
This time, it determines which sci fi crew you should be part of. Be truthful when you fill it out, because it's easy to
answer questions that would get you placed on a certain firefly-looking transport.I was most compatible with Babylon 5 and Farscape, which I never watched. Probably because I'm comfortable with really weird-looking aliens. I think the reason I didn't get on board Serenity was because I wouldn't just follow a captain because he's the captain. And, I didn't get on the Nebuchadnezzar with Neo because I don't have stellar computer skills.
Here are my results:
Which Star Trek character are you?
I don't know what is with all the Star Trek-related posts
from me today. Maybe it's on my radar because I watched First Contact the other night (that Borg chick
rocks!). Anyway, there's an internet quiz to determine which Star Trek character you are. Sadly, I am a
"redshirt", or an expendable crewmate who gets killed as soon as the away team beams down to the planet's
surface. Bummer.Take the quiz, then tell me: Who are you?
