Scrubs: My Turf War
(S06E18) In the promo they ran right before 9:00, NBC followed up its promotion of 30 Rock by saying that this was the first of the "final four episodes of Scrubs." Whaaaaat? Do they mean of the season or ever? Are they trying to tell us something in code that we'll find out in the next couple of weeks? All the talk from Bill Lawrence on down had indicated that there would be a seventh season of the show, either on NBC or their production company's corporate cousin, ABC.
But, can I tell you something? I'm not sure if a seventh season of Scrubs is such a good idea. Don't worry. This'll just be between us.
My Name is Earl: GED
(S02E20) Our protagonist Earl has gone and crossed another item off his list -- after adding it to the list in the beginning of the episode. When I was reading the description of this episode, I was a little dubious. What does Earl getting his GED have to do with righting the wrongs on his list. But Earl's friends made a pretty compelling case that Earl should be on the list for ruining his own life. That, and as Randy points out, things go much more smoothly when Earl's on the list -- they don't have to waste time tracking somebody down and explaining the list.
America's Next Top Model: The Girl Who Picks A Fight
(S08E10) I'm a big fan of reality shows. I'm not so big a fan the recap that every reality show insists on airing mid-season, despite getting to see some behind the scenes footage. The way I see it, if the clips weren't good enough to make it into a regular episode, why would I care to see them now?
I guess the recaps cater to those who can't get enough information on the series or to those that need to catch up on some of the action that they may have missed out on. I'm afraid I just don't fit into either category.
That being said, I was happy to get to relive the near fight between Wholahay and the model formerly known as the Antichrist.
Being a boxing fan, I'm pretty excited about the Mayweather vs De La Hoya fight coming up early next month, but if I was given the opportunity to watch the two moms duke it out on pay-per-view instead, I'd hop on it quicker than you can say "illegitimate child".
CSI: Miami: Just Murdered

(S05E21) I really enjoyed this episode a lot, but I have to ask. Why did the preview from last week's episode make it seem like some real serious fireworks were going to go off between Calleigh and Delko? I recall something along the lines of, "the moment we've all waited for." What moment? She gave him a peck on the cheek to say thanks! That was it! Realistically, this will lead to something further in the coming final episodes (Delko seemed a bit smitten), but why blow the exciting preview on this instance? It wasn't a big deal at all. The rest of the episode was quite good though. Solid case as well as some shady stuff happening in the crime lab.
24: 12:00am -- 1:00am

(S06E19) *Warning, spoilers from the latest episode ahead.*
A dirty old man. A trigger-happy agent. A politically cut-throat spouse. Wildly inappropriate personal bickering in the workplace. Special guest star Jack Bauer.
What do those five things have in common? The 19th hour of 24.
Maybe I'm just growing more cynical, but this episode bummed me out on many fronts. Overall, it felt like filler to just inch the story forward to the final episodes. All I know is that throughout the hour, I wanted to see more Jack, much less of Chloe and Morris "Drill-Bit" O'Brian and felt nauseated by that scene with Acting President Noah Daniels. You know the one.
Desperate Housewives: God, That's Good
(S03E19) Last week's episode left me with a lot of questions and expectations for this week's installment of Desperate Housewives. Would Susan dump Ian for good? How would Edie and Carlos' relationship evolve? Would Lynette cheat on Tom with Rick? But most importantly, I wanted to know how Mr. McCluskey died, why he was in the freezer and why was Mrs. McCluskey not reporting his death? Even though I'm a spoilers addict and knew most of the answers to my own questions, spoilers are never 100% accurate so I was impatiently waiting for the episode. Sadly, the episode didn't give me all the goods I was waiting for.
The Amazing Race All-Stars: "Good Doing Business With You"
(S11E11) Did everybody catch the Travelocity ad at the very beginning of the episode? Sheesh. It took a few extra minutes to get into the race so Oswald and Danny could show off the vacation they won last week.Ooooh... I loved the whole Yield drama at the beginning of this episode. The beauty queens had already used their Yield but Danny & Oswald really needed cash so they offered to Yield whomever the queens wanted in exchange for cash. I was clapping with glee when the whole thing played out because I really don't like Eric & Danielle.

Stargate SG-1: Line in the Sand

(S10E12) When I first saw this episode of SG-1, it was a review copy. Usually these are pretty rough. They lack special effects, final editing isn't quite done, and there's usually the random bad voice over. Since Sci-Fi has had so much time to get these ready for showing (not to mention the fact that the show was already on in the UK) things were a bit different. I found myself reaching for the fast forward button a few times, but things turned out pretty decent in the end.
Grey's Anatomy: Time After Time

(S03E20) This show is generally just depressing enough that it doesn't bother me. Not in this episode. Watch out, because everything and everyone gave you a reason to reach for a Kleenex box. That isn't a bad thing. In the case of Grey's Anatomy, it's probably safe to argue that something is being done right if everyone across America has a little urge to sniffle. All that being said... man, is it good TV or what?
Dancing With The Stars: Week 5 Results
(S04E09) After three weeks of watching women get sent home, it was about time that a male contestant got the boot. Samantha mentioned that the show has reached its midpoint, and it is time to get rid of the lackluster dancers and focus on the real contenders. I have a feeling that the next few eliminations will be as predictable as this week's.
As many fans guessed, the judges chose Apolo and Julianne for the encore performance this evening. The couple's Samba was called the dance of the season. No arguments here. Apolo and Julianne's performance was just as exciting and sexy as it was last night, and it was great to see it again.
Brothers and Sisters: Game Night
(S01E19) Meh. I really like Brothers and Sisters and I am a really big cheerleader of this show. But this episode wasn't really stellar. I am a big enough geek that I have done some background research on the show and I know that the episodes don't all have the same writers, and perhaps that explains some of the unevenness in the episodes. I guess they aren't going to let me come and hang out with them in LA if I say that this episode wasn't the best example of writing, are they? No, wait, that's not fair. It was just a fairly contrived episode. The Amazing Race All-Stars: "We Are Trying to Make Love, Not War"
(S11E10) So much of this season has been about jockeying for position on flights and very little has been about challenges. Finally, after we spent a lot of time in the airport at the beginning of the episode, we got to see some really cool challenges. The first Detour was Lost in Translation or Kung Fu Fighting-- with ninjas! I would've chosen that, too. The challenges, unfortunately, were super simple for everybody, but at least they were entertaining to wtch. This week, teams flew more than 1,500 miles from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Hong Kong.

Survivor Fiji: Are We Going To Live On Exile Island?
(S14E09) Merge! Well, sort of. This week's episode throws in a bunch of shakeups trying for that "ooh" moment that usually keeps the audience so ensnared in Survivor. This week's twists however, seems sort of anti-climactic and don't lead to any really interesting shake-ups in the long run.Scrubs: My Words of Wisdom

(S06E16) This episode started promisingly enough, which was ironic, since it opened at Laverne's funeral. But seeing how everyone dealt with losing a co-worker was, as usual, the most interesting aspect of this entire episode. This isn't the first time the Scrubs crew has had to deal with loss; the death of Jordan's brother Ben seemed to tear a lot of people up. But this is the first time a death affected everyone, and we see that Dr. PeePants Murphy smiles over the fact that he did Laverne's autopsy, Keith wants to deepen his relationship with Elliot, and Carla wonders why no one is as broken up as she is.
But, of course, no one beats J.D.
South Park: D-Yikes!
(S11E06)
Mrs. Garrison: Kids, I need to tell you something that you might find a little shocking: I'm gay.
Stan: Again?
Longtime fans of South Park know that Mr./Ms. Garrison is a mercurial sexual beast. S/he's now been both straight and gay as a man and as a woman, but the one constant that remains is that whatever her preference happens to be that week, she takes it very seriously.
