Raven-Symone talks about working with Holly Robinson Peete on 'HAngin' With Mr. Cooper' on 'The Talk'After 'The Cosby Show' made her a star, Raven-Symone worked for six seasons on the Mark Curry sitcom 'Hangin' with Mr. Cooper.' Wednesday on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated), there was a mini-'Cooper' reunion between Raven-Symone and her former co-star, Holly Robinson Peete. Raven-Symone reminisced about life as a child star, and said her most vivid memory from working with Peete on 'Cooper' was watching her eat chicken and waffles at Roscoe's.

Peete copped to her love of chicken and waffles, but seemed surprised to hear Raven-Symon describe her signature method of eating them in such vivid detail. "I will remember this forever," said Raven-Symone. "You take the waffle, you cut it in half, you dip it like a taco in the thing, and then you put your chicken inside of it. It was so weird to me. But I enjoyed watching it."

'State of Georgia' Premiere: Raven-Symone's Georgia Seduces Her Casting Director (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 30th 2011 4:10PM
Georgia seduces his casting director on 'State of Georgia'Most of us remember Raven-Symone as little Olivia from 'The Cosby Show,' so the premiere of her new show 'State of Georgia' (Wednesdays, 8:30PM on ABC Family) was quite a departure for the now-grown actress. Playing Georgia, an aspiring actress, Raven-Symone's character went into seductress mode to convince a casting directer she had the requisite sex-appeal to win a role.

Back in casting director Trent Pierce's apartment for a romantic dinner, Georgia does such a convincing job at playing the part that he tries to kiss her, but she deflects his advances. "I see a woman I want to kiss, and I kiss her," he said. "Not this woman," replied Georgia.

Pierce was obviously confused, and asked what was happening. "This was me answering a very, very simple question," said Georgia. "In what world would Trent Pierce buy me as a seductress? This one." Pierce wound up declaring he needed to brush his teeth and do sit-ups at the same time, possibly because a reference to a cold shower would have been too much for ABC Family.

Raven-Symone Talks New Show 'State of Georgia' on 'GMA' (VIDEO)

Raven-Symone on 'Good Morning America'On her new show, 'State of Georgia,' Raven-Symone plays a woman from Georgia who moves to New York City to become a star. Of course, Raven-Symone has been a star since she was four-years-old, when she played Olivia on 'The Cosby Show.' Thursday on 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM on ABC), Raven-Symone talked about the new show and some show-business advice she got from Bill Cosby.

Raven-Symone was thankful to have had Cosby, a legendary comedian and television icon, as a mentor from an early age. "He told me that this is a business, and you have to stay professional," she said. "No matter how much glitz and glamour or money that you can collect, it's all about, can people respect your business ethic."

She'll also be joined by a couple of TV veterans on 'State of Georgia': Loretta Devine ('Boston Public,' 'Grey's Anatomy') and Majandra Delfino ('Roswell'). A TV staple for most of her life, it's hard to believe that Raven-Symone is still only 25-years-old.

Raven-Symone, TV Land Awards, The Cosby ShowBy Breia Brissey
Tonight's TV Land Awards will bring together the cast of 'The Cosby Show' for the first time in years.

When TV Squad caught up with Raven-Symoné a few weeks ago at the ABC Family upfronts, the now-25-year-old former 'Cosby Show' star said she was excited for the cast to receive the TV Land Impact Award.

"I loved working with Bill Cosby. And it's such an honor to end up on TV Land," Symoné said. "I mean, it's weird because I'm only 25 and on TV Land! But when I was little, I was only allowed to watch TV Land and the cooking network, so it's really cool."

Two decades after she started on the iconic series, the actress formerly known as little Olivia Kendall has a new show of her own. She'll return to TV with ABC Family's 'State of Georgia' (formerly known as 'The Great State of Georgia') in June.

Katy Perry Gives Advice, and Gives Away Her Shoes on 'Extreme Makeover'Singer Katy Perry was very poor when she was growing up. She still remembers being so broke that she had to borrow clothes in order to go out at night. Which might help to explain her actions on the premiere of 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' (Sun., 7PM ET on ABC).

The goal tonight for Ty Pennington and his crew is to build a new house for seven young women. These girls are scholars who have been accepted into 'Boys Hope Girls Hope' -- a Baltimore program that accepts gifted students who come from difficult backgrounds.

The boys in the program already have their own housing, but due to the economic crisis, the girls have been waiting three years to get their own residence hall. Katy and other celebs show up to talk to the girls while their new home is being built.

Cheetah Girls scores high in ratings - Say what?

by Jane Boursaw, posted Aug 26th 2008 8:19AM
Cheetah Girls: One WorldI have a tween-aged girl in the household, so we watch a fair amount of Disney Channel. I'll come clean and even announce that Miley Cyrus, The Cheetah Girls, and Demi Lovato share iPod space with AC/DC, Jeff Beck, and Aerosmith. Hey, those Disney Channel tunes are catchy, and they're easy to dance, I mean, walk to. I draw the line at the Jonas Brothers, though.

But about 10 minutes into the new Cheetah Girls: One World movie the other night, my daughter looked at me and said, "I was really hoping these Cheetah Girls movies would get better." Yeah, me, too.

I actually liked the first two movies, in 2003 and 2006, respectively. The second, directed by High School Musical alum Kenny Ortega, was a downright cute tale about the Girls' escapades in Spain.
