Anal BSG fans get Razor DVD art corrected

Sci Fi Channel has corrected an error that die hard fans of Battlestar Galactica pointed out in the DVD art for the upcoming movie. Here's the deal: the TV movie is a stand-alone episode that documents what happened to the Battlestar Pegasus after the Cylon war broke out. Sci Fi held a contest for fans to choose the DVD art for the upcoming movie, called Razor. But the seal on the front of the winning DVD art has an error. It had the number "75," which is Galactica's number, rather than Pegasus' number "62." Fans pressed to have the seal changed and it will be correct when the DVD comes out on December 4th.Winning Razor cover art chosen and other Battlestar Galactica news

Last month we told you of Sci Fi Channel's poll for choosing the cover art for the DVD of the upcoming Battlestar Galactica - Razor TV movie. We posted our own poll and, as it turns out, the votes match up. The winning choice, seen right, is 'B'. I actually chose 'C' myself (which came in second in our poll), maybe because when thinking of the word "razor" I thought the split images matched along with that. But in all honesty, I don't really care what the cover looks like -- they were all fine choices.Pick the Battlestar Galactica Razor cover art

SCI FI is trying to generate a little interest for its upcoming Battlestar Galactica movie, Razor, by letting the fans choose the DVD cover art. There are three options on this website. Personally, I'm torn between #1 and #2 and do not like #3 one bit. The third one looks fragmented, but it could be popular because it includes a picture of Starbuck.Razor is a two-hour, stand alone movie that chronicles what happened to the Battlestar Pegasus after the Cylons attacked Caprica. It does include appearances from major BSG cast members such as Adm. Adama, Starbuck, Apollo, Number Six, and Laura Roslin.
Season 1 of Battlestar Galactica coming to HD DVD

Good news for owners of HD DVD systems. Not so good news for owners of Blue Ray DVD systems.
The rumored release of Battlestar Galactica - Season 1 finally has a date to it: December 4th. The 6-DVD set will be priced at about $100. The discs will be single-sided "HD-30's" with widescreen video, both Dolby HD Surround and Digital Plus 5.1, and subtitles in both English and French (how do you translate 'frak' into French? Fraque?). The set will have all of the original DVD extras as well as those specific to the HD release. You can find the detailed breakdown of features by clicking on this link.
Farscape to become Web series, along with webisodes of Battlestar Galactica

Some cool news for fans of Farscape: the series is coming back in the form of ten new webisodes. As of this moment no actors and writers have been attached to the project, nor have any storylines been announced. According to the Post Gazette, if the Web series is successful enough, the series could return to television. I'd say that's quite a long shot (the series went off the air in 2003), but I certainly wouldn't complain if it came back. I was late getting into Farscape, but I thought it was fun and imaginative.

Last night, SciFi aired the first promo for the upcoming Battlestar Galactica movie and today it's up on YouTube. We all know Battlestar Galactica: Razor is about the Pegasus and what happened to it between the time the Cylons started a war and it met up with the Galactica.Our favorite characters (Starbuck, Admiral Adama, Apollo) are also in the movie so it appears to start as the war with the Cylons begins and then the Pegasus somehow gets separated from the rest of the group. Preview of BSG movie tonight during Eureka

Need a Cylon fix? I sure as hell do.Sci Fi will air a preview of the Battlestar Galactica movie tonight during the season premiere of Eureka. The movie, called Razor, is meant to be independent of the just-finished third and upcoming fourth seasons. It tells the story of the Battlestar Pegasus several months before it found the Galactica. Razor is a two-hour movie that will immediately go to DVD once it airs on Sci Fi in November.
Eureka premieres at 9 pm tonight on Sci Fi.
