'Real Housewives of NYC' Star Sonja Morgan Files for Bankruptcy, Blames John Travolta

by Chris Harnick, posted Nov 18th 2010 1:00PM
Sonja MorganSonja Morgan is joining fellow 'Real Housewife' Teresa Giudice on the bankruptcy train. Somebody call up Ramona Singer and get this woman some "Turtle time," stat.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Morgan, a recent addition to Bravo's 'The Real Housewives of New York City,' filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. In her petition, Morgan listed $19.8 million in debt with $13.5 million in assets. The source for her financial woes? None other than John Travolta.

Prior to Sonja's divorce from John Adams Morgan, the two began the aptly titled Sonja Productions, an indie movie company. The company produced 'The Marsh,' starring Forest Whitaker. Sonja Productions struck a deal with Hannibal Pictures Inc. to produce 'Fast Flash to Bang Time,' a film that had Travolta attached to star.

'Real Housewives': Bethenny Doesn't Want to Film 'NYC,' Ramona Gets Own Wine Line and More

by Chris Harnick, posted Oct 14th 2010 2:10PM
Bethenny FrankelBethenny Frankel is not afraid to speak her mind. The star of Bravo's 'Bethenny Getting Married?' had a famous falling out with her then-'Real Housewives of New York City' co-star Jill Zarin last season, and now Frankel says she does not want to go back to 'Housewives.'

"I do not want to do any housewife episodes [this season]," Frankel told HollywoodLife.com. "Let's just leave it at that."

Despite hugging on camera during 'The Real Housewives of New York City' reunion this summer, Frankel's relationship with Zarin did not get any further repair.

"I'm not friends with Jill and we don't speak to each other," Frankel said. "I'm so happy right now in my life that I could never ever wish anyone any ill will anyway. That is so 2009 -- the show and the argument!"

by Jean Bentley, posted Oct 6th 2010 6:30PM
Ramona SingerAccording to Us Weekly, Ramona Singer punched a producer last week when she was filming a scene for 'The Real Housewives of New York City' with costars Alex McCord and Sonja Morgan.

It's unclear what set off the star, but a source told Us, "She was furious and felt like the producers were ganging up on her. She literally lost her mind." Another observer told the magazine, "No one is really sure what exactly spurred her craziness. But she got herself worked up over filming this scene and one thing led to another, and she punched the producer. Literally."

A Bravo spokesperson would not comment on the story.

Police have finished their investigation into 'Sister Wives' star Kody Brown and his three wives. However, it will take months for authorities to review the case. If convicted, the star could be sentenced to five years in jail, which would effectively end the series. [E! Online]

'The Biggest Loser' season 9 contestants Sam Poueu and Stephanie Anderson are engaged. The couple met on the show, and Poueu proposed to Anderson while on the ranch. [TV Guide]

Apparently, an upcoming episode of 'The Office' will involve the Dunder Mifflin crew watching an episode of 'Glee.' But it's not an official crossover, so no 'Glee' actors will appear in the episode. This isn't completely surprising, since Michael Scott totally would be a 'Glee' fan. [The Ausiello Files]

'Real Housewives' Roundup: Bethenny Out of 'New York,' 'New Jersey' Reunion Gets Heated

by Chris Harnick, posted Aug 25th 2010 3:00PM
Bethenny FrankelFans of Bravo's 'Real Housewives of New York City' can stop holding their breath -- the show will be back for a season 4, but without one familiar face. Bethenny Frankel has not been asked back to the show.

But, don't feel bad for the new mom. Frankel is busy filming the second season of her reality series 'Bethenny Getting Married?' instead of joining the rest of the women on 'Real Housewives of New York City.'

According to the New York Daily News, everybody else from last season -- Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, Ramona Singer, Alex McCord, LuAnn de Lesseps and newbie Sonja Morgan -- has been asked back for another helping of socialite drama. No word on Jennifer Gilbert, who was followed by cameras for months but rarely popped up on season 3.

In other 'Real Housewives' news ...

'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' pulled in a solid number of viewers during its season 2 finale. The show was watched by 3.4 million total viewers and 2.3 million viewers age 18-49. Caroline Manzo took to her Bravo blog to discuss her much-hyped confrontation with Danielle Staub and said the names she called Staub were "cruel" and "childish."

Naked Belly on 'Bethenny Getting Married?' (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Jul 16th 2010 5:55AM
This week on 'Bethenny Getting Married?' (Thurs., 10PM ET on BRAVO) Bethenny Frankel decides to celebrate her pregnant body and give her fiancé Jason Hoppy a real treat by doing a nude maternity photo shoot. Apparently it's the perfect gift for Jason who, says Bethenny, "as we all know, has a warped and twisted pregnancy fetish."

So wearing nothing but white undies, Bethenny lies across a bed and tries to get comfortable. It doesn't go great at first as the photographer starts taking photos before Bethenny's ready, and she's pretty tense in front of the cameras. But she gradually starts to loosen up and jokes that, "I feel like I'm in the doctor's office ... I feel like I'm in stirrups!"

Ever the trouper, Bethenny eventually gets into the groove and relaxes, even though "the last time I was naked with a camera was PETA and I was a whole lot different.".

And at the end of "the easiest photo shoot ever!" Bethenny says that she's really pleased with the results. After weeks of feeling tired and swollen she's got a set of pictures commemorating "this beautiful, beautiful time of my life."

Jill and Bethenny Hug and Make Up on 'Real Housewives' (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Jun 18th 2010 2:50AM
Jill and Bethenny Hug and Make Up on 'Real Housewives'Well! After all the fussing, feuding and fighting, the 'Real Housewives' season ends here. And it ends with two women who seem to hate each other deciding to hug and make nice.

This is the last installment of 'The Real Housewives of New York' reunion special (Thu., 9PM ET on Bravo). Naturally, some weirdness happened. In fact, the show was so odd that it forced us to ask a bunch of important philosophical questions. Like, was what we saw before all a mirage? And what is reality, anyway?

Previously, Jill and Bethenny got into such a big fight that Jill stormed out of the room. This was followed by another Bethenny-related fight where Kelly stormed out of the room. But now, apparently, it's all good. The women suddenly decide to make up, while hanging out in their strange pink couch-filled reunion room.

Jill and Beth "hug it out," and Jill says this: "I really miss you ... it's not bullsh#t." Um, say what now? Have we been watching the same show? Don't you guys hate each other?

Bethenny and Jill Fight on 'Real Housewives of NYC' (VIDEO)

Bethenny and Jill Fight on 'Real Housewives of NYC' Bethenny fighting with her friends? Shocking. Apparently she and Jill were best friends who used to talk "five times a day." On last night's 'Real Housewives of New York City' (Thu., 10PM ET on BRAVO) the two argued -- over the phone -- about what ended their friendship.

"I will never forget what you said to me: 'You need to get a hobby'," says Jill. "Well guess what? My hobby was my husband got cancer... and the people who love me called my husband directly."

"I sent flowers," responds Bethenny. "I didn't realize your husband was that ill." Check out Jill's response.

Bethenny and LuAnn Fight on 'Real Housewives'A very public location didn't keep housewives Bethenny Frankel and LuAnn de Lesseps from engaging in a verbal smackdown. On last night's 'The Real Housewives of New York City' (Thu., 10PM ET on BRAVO), LuAnn tried to keep things nice -- briefly.

LuAnn: Let's talk about it later.
Bethenny: What, are we at church? We're at a fashion show.

Bethenny didn't hold back, saying, "I'm telling you to your face -- I don't like you, I don't trust you and I think you're a snake." And she wasn't finished.

What to Watch: March 25

by Kim Potts, posted Mar 25th 2010 6:00AM
'Real Housewives of New York City' (10PM, Bravo)
Who would have guessed that, aside from Simon's love of shopping, he and wife Alex would turn out to be the most down-to-earth pair amongst the 'Real Housewives of NYC' bunch this season? Simon and Alex embark on another spree tonight (and yes, we still find Simon a tad creepy, too), but that pales in comparison to the action the other women have going, which almost exclusively involves sniping at each other. Bethenny and LuAnn have it out at a fashion event (memo to 'Housewives': have you all noticed that nothing good ever seems to happen when you all go to fashion shows?), Ramona offends Kelly with questions about Kelly's boob job (or, as Ramona wants to know, is that jobs?) and a Jill-hosted function goes so badly that someone walks out. In a huge surprise, Bethenny and Kelly agree to try to get along, but we know for a fact that the truce doesn't last for long.
