Taylor Armstrong Breaks Down & Lashes Out in Explosive 'Housewives' Argument (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Dec 6th 2011 11:25AM
For Taylor Armstrong, it's been a tumultuous, emotionally draining season of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' and things came to a head in last night's episode. At a party hosted by Brandi Glanville at a friend's Malibu beach house, long-simmering tension between Armstrong and Camille Grammer exploded as Armstrong melted down in an emotionally-charged, difficult-to-watch tantrum.

Armstrong has long felt Grammer violated her trust by telling the reality show cameras that Taylor was being abused by her late ex-husband Russell Armstrong, who committed suicide in August after filming had wrapped. Armstrong told Grammer that in confidence, and felt that Grammer publicly revealing the information put her and her daughter in more danger.

And when Camille's friend Dee Dee urged Taylor to fix her friendship with Camille and criticized her for not returning her calls, Armstrong lost it. "I have been her friend ... I have never hurt her. I have never hurt her! She has hurt me so much! You have no idea" Camille screamed, crying and becoming increasingly irate.

by Laura Prudom, posted Nov 29th 2011 8:30AM
Taylor and Russell ArmstrongIt's still a little chilling to watch 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' (Mon., 9PM ET on Bravo), knowing what we now know about Taylor and Russell Armstrong's marriage, and the warning signs were in plain sight last night.

Awkward encounters are a staple of the 'Real Housewives' franchise, but the tension was palpable when Kyle and Mauricio joined Taylor and Russell for a limo ride in this week's episode, with Kyle observing, "After what happened at the tea party, it was a little awkward seeing Russell. It's really hard when I hear things from Taylor that she'll say about her marriage and then I see them together ... it's very hard for us to put those things out of our minds."

Dr. Paul Nassif and Adrienne Maloof Talk About Kim Richards' Mental Health & Relationship (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Nov 21st 2011 4:00PM
Kim Richards has been raising eyebrows lately on 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' as cast and audience-members alike have been concerned about her spaced-out look, word-slurring and erratic behavior, and have wondered if she may have some type of drug problem. When she revealed that she's taking several prescription mood-stabilizers, Dr. Paul Nassif speculated that a combination of prescription medications might explain her appearing out of it.

Adrienne Maloof and Dr. Nassif stopped 'The Wendy Williams Show,' (weekdays, syndicated on Fox) and continued to speculate about Richards' mental health, as well as her new relationship with boyfriend Ken Blumenfeld. On the question of her behavior, Dr. Nassif had this to say, "When you're on numerous medications for moods, and you combine them all together, and possibly the dosing may be off, it can cause some of those symptoms of the eyes a little glassy, a little bit of slurring of the words ... just looking like you're not completely with it," he explained.

Lisa Vanderpump's interview on 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated on Fox) started off somber, and ended slathered in barbeque sauce. In a strange juxtaposition, Williams first asked Vanderpump about the suicide of her 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' cast-mate Taylor Armstrong's estranged husband, and then presented her with a McRib sandwich.

Vanderpump said that even though she had her personal problems with Taylor, she offered her a place to stay when things got bad. "I always had reservations about Taylor ... but, I said, if you need a place to live with your daughter, my house is always open to you," she said.

Brandi Glanville had a rough rookie season on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.' The Richards sisters immediately decided they didn't like her and seemed determined to turn the other ladies against her. It all culminated in the game-night episode, where the sisters yelled at her, almost in unison, and things got typically ugly.

Glanville stopped by 'Access Hollywood Live,' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC) where she did some post-game analysis on the season. "Kyle and I have talked ... she apologized and I apologized," she said. Her relationship with Kim is another story, as the two haven't talked since shooting.

Dr. Phil Diagnoses Taylor Armstrong With a 'Damaged Personal Truth' (VIDEO)

by Stephanie Opella, posted Sep 22nd 2011 7:20PM
Taylor Armstrong has dealt with an immense amount of trauma in her life. Her deceased ex-husband Russell, who committed suicide in July, was physically abusing her when they were married. Searching for answers about how to move forward, she sought help from 'Dr. Phil' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS).

Armstrong, a cast member on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' detailed her painful personal history of abuse and shame. She told Dr. Phil how she grew up in an abusive household without a father, and changed her name repeatedly, at one point morphing from Shana Taylor to Taylor Ford because, "I'm a big fan of Tom Ford, he's a designer. Tom Ford, Taylor Ford. It's similar."

Dr. Phil diagnosed Armstrong with what he called "a damaged personal truth." Explaining the condition, he said, "if we think we're damaged, ... then that's exactly what you'll generate in your life. You will not create security in your life for you or your daughter." Hopefully she can move past the cycle of abuse in the next chapter of her life.

Armstrong was the estranged husband of 'Housewives' star Taylor Armstrong, and the dissolution of their marriage was originally going to be a central storyline of the new season. Thursday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC), Donny Deutsch defended Bravo's controversial decision to not push back the premiere.

"They made the right call for a few reasons," said Deutsch. "Number one, they're a business. And this is going to be good television. I hate to use that word. It's reality TV, it's train wreck TV. Unfortunately, this was a fatal train wreck."
