Dina Manzo Addresses 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Feuds

by Chris Harnick, posted Oct 24th 2011 12:05PM
Dina Manzo Real Housewives of New Jersey FeudsFormer 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Dina Manzo has spoken out about the Bravo reality show and its resulting drama for the "last time." Manzo broke her silence in a new blog post, addressing why she left the show and the state of her relationships with the other reality stars, including her sister, Caroline.

"Yes, It's true I decided to distance myself from ALL the housewives once I left season 2," she wrote on DinaManzo.com. "I really wanted to walk away from all of the toxic behavior, I was not into ganging up on anyone and I was no longer obligated to talk about Danielle so the best thing for me to do was stay away. They still needed to do this and I get that, but I had no desire. I guess some of the 'housewives' may have taken that as I think I'm better than them ... that couldn't be further from the truth." Melissa Gorga Clarifies: I Wasn't a Stripper (Just a Bikini Bartender)

by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 1st 2011 4:45PM
'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Melissa Gorga would like to set the record straight. She was never a stripper, she says, but rather a bartender at a bikini bar.

The drama all started when HuffPost Celeb's Rob Shuter reported that while filming a recent episode, Gorga was ambushed when her former boss from the New Jersey establishment Lookers showed up at an event. Depending on what you believe, it may have been a "set-up" orchestrated by Bravo producers or her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice.

Gorga clarified the report in her blog: "As everyone knows we are filming season 4 so there is not too much I can confirm, but there is one thing that I would like to clarify...the accusation that I was once a dancer at a strip club. This is 100% NOT TRUE. I did bartend for a few weeks at a bikini bar while I was in college. My outfit was a tank top, shorts and sneakers. SORRY, no bubbies there."

She later cited a New Jersey law which states that Go Go bars that allow nudity may not also serve alcohol.

Dina Manzo on Returning to TV, Grandma Wrinkles and 'Dina's Party'

by Chris Harnick, posted Sep 10th 2011 10:00AM
Dina ManzoChances are you know Dina Manzo from her time on Bravo's 'Real Housewives of New Jersey.' It's hard to forget her feud with Danielle Staub, the resulting drama -- table flips, gag orders and so much more -- and Manzo's famous exit from the reality series, which was attributed to Staub's antics.

However, it's been more than a year since Manzo said goodbye to 'Housewives' and reality TV as a whole, but when HGTV came a-callin', Manzo said she couldn't refuse their call.

"When I left 'Housewives' I had no intentions of coming back on TV at all," Manzo told AOL TV. "This opportunity came to me and I spoke with my husband and I said, 'You know, not for nothing, I love HGTV. This is what I love to do and you know how happy event planning makes me.'"

With her husband's blessing and the assurance her family and foundation wouldn't be affected by the series, Manzo said it was an easy decision. "I said 'Why not?' I love what I do, I love my team."

Listen to the Latest 'Real Housewives' Single

by Jean Bentley, posted Aug 12th 2011 6:30PM
Melissa GorgaThe question of our generation: Why are 'Real Housewives' constantly releasing songs about how famous they are, and how difficult their lives are because of it?

I refuse to believe that people really bother them about their fame on a daily basis. Then again, you have to have a healthy sense of self and a ton of confidence to go on one of those shows anyway, so it shouldn't be that surprising.

The latest housewife to delude herself into thinking she'll have a recording career is 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Melissa Gorga. Listen to 'On Display,' then judge me for having enough of a working knowledge of 'Housewives' singles to declare that she might actually have the best voice of them all.

'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Looking for New Recruits

by Alex Moaba, posted Aug 9th 2011 12:30PM
'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' is apparently looking to shake up its gang of drama-addicted ladies. According to Millburn-Short Hills Patch, Vinnie Potestivo Entertainment has issued an open casting call to re-stock Andy Cohen's harem of 'Housewives' for Season 4.

It's not clear how many new recruits they're looking for, or if this means that any of the beloved and/or hated 'Housewives' are moving on.

In addition to table-throwing, yelling and showing up to parties uninvited, cast-shakeups have been a constant of the 'RHONJ' franchise. Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice are the only remaining original 'Housewives.' Teresa's sister-in law Melissa Gorga joined the cast for Season 3 along with her cousin Kathy Wakile. Dina Manzo left in the middle of Season 2 and Danielle Staub was not asked back for Season 3.

Real Housewives of New JerseyWhen you're on a reality show, you can only control so much of how you're perceived. Just ask 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' stars Melissa Gorga and Caroline Manzo.

This is Caroline's third season, and the proud mama bear of the group said it's been a crazy couple of years.

"It's been a tremendous experience," she said. "I wanted something interesting to do with my family and I got a whirlwind of an experience."

Melissa, sister-in-law to Teresa Giudice, has been involved with the season's biggest storyline, the feud between her husband Joe, and Teresa. While the cameras showed some clashes between Melissa and Teresa, Melissa said it's not exactly accurate.

"[The feud] really is between a brother and a sister, "Melissa said. "And I do get caught in the middle."

Joe Gorga Is Not Ashamed of His Cross-Dressing Habit (VIDEO)

Joe Gorga of 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' in drag on 'Watch What Happens Live'Most of the time on 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' Joe Gorga is a muscled, macho guy. But every now and then, he likes to embrace his feminine side. And as Andy Cohen showed Sunday on 'Watch What Happens Live' (Sun., 11PM on Bravo), when Gorga is feeling feminine, he likes to show it off.

"We know he loves his wife," said Cohen, "but another thing Joe Gorga seems to be into, at least a little, occasionally, is puttin' on a lady dress." What followed was a montage of clips featuring Gorga in women's outfits. In one clip, Gorga preened in front of a mirror in a gold dress and spanks, trying to get his wig right. He told his wife, Melissa, "I look better than you, as a woman." Melissa couldn't bare to look at him, so maybe she thought he was right.

A polite altercation at the Christmas party on 'Real Housewives of New Jersey'It wouldn't be a 'Real Housewives' party without a little trouble. On Sunday's 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' (Sunday, 10PM on Bravo), Melissa and Joe Gorga hosted their Christmas party, complete with formal dress, multiple Christmas trees, and of course, the obligatory dispute, this one between Kim G. and Melissa. But no tables were flipped, so we give everyone points for handling the situation like adults.

Let us explain ... No, there's just too much. Let us sum up. Teresa Giudice's husband Joe is in legal trouble, facing charges of fraud and possibly bankruptcy proceedings. Kim G. showed up with a guest, Monica, the wife of the lawyer suing Joe for fraud. Joe Gorga told Kim G. that they couldn't have Monica at the party, and politely asked them to leave.

TMZ reports Staub's contract is for three years. It comes fresh on the heels of a rumored romance with rapper Ray J. Staub has agreed to do one live appearance and occasionally appear on ScoresLive.com, the club's adult website.

While signing a contract with a strip club may raise eyebrows, the 48-year-old is no stranger to nudity. by Jean Bentley, posted Dec 17th 2010 6:30PM
Eric BraedenEric Braeden's got some fighting words for Neil Patrick Harris.

"If he is a worthy adversary, he'd better not cross my path," the actor told Entertainment Weekly after Harris called him a "d-bag" on Twitter earlier today.

Harris backtracked shortly after his statement, which he made in reaction to Braeden backing out of a guest spot at the last minute. "Now I feel bad for the D-bag comment. Don't know the guy personally. I'm just fiercely protective of our show," he wrote.

Harris shouldn't get too worried, though, because Braeden is willing to forgive and forget. "I will let bygones be bygones," he said to EW.
