'Family Guy' Closes Out Its Take on the 'Star Wars' Trilogy With 'It's a Trap!' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted May 23rd 2011 7:31AM
Hardcore fans of 'Family Guy' (Sun., 9PM ET on FOX) have already seen the concluding chapter of Seth MacFarlane's take on the original 'Star Wars' trilogy. (It was released on Blu-Ray and DVD way back on December 21, 2010.) Now, however, everyone got a chance to experience the fun. While these take place in the 'Family Guy' series, MacFarlane reaches through all of his shows to bring in characters to fill out the vast 'Star Wars' cast. Rallo from 'The Cleveland Show' appears as Nien Nunb while Tim the Bear is the obvious choice for Wicket, the Eewok. From 'American Dad' we get Roger as Moff Jerjerrod and, the obvious choice for Admiral Ackbar, Klaus.
Fans of the first two installments will find more to enjoy here, as MacFarlane continues to show his love for the source material, while still finding plenty to mock. But that's what true fans of 'Star Wars' do.
'Family Guy's' Seth MacFarlane Talks About 'It's A Trap!', the 'Return of the Jedi' Spoof
by Michael Maloney, posted Dec 20th 2010 3:00PM
Seth MacFarlane has a legion of devoted followers, but he takes nothing for granted. When TV Squad asked MacFarlane a week ago about the success of 'Family Guy: It's A Trap!' (his spoof on 'Return of the Jedi'), which comes out on Blu-Ray and DVD on Dec. 21, he carefully replied, "We don't know [it's a success] yet. It could bomb. You never know."
Yeah, right. Who doesn't want the highly-anticipated movie as a holiday gift or stocking stuffer? (All three 'Family Guy' 'Star Wars' spoofs are now available, too, on either DVD or Blu-Ray as a boxed set -- 'Laugh It Up Fuzzball: Family Guy Three-Pack.')
