It's going to be weird to see "Boston Rob" Mariano without his trademark Boston Red Sox cap. And, well, with his shirt on. But here we have it.

Starting later this year, History Channel will premiere 'Around the World in 80 Ways,' a show hosted by 'Survivor' winner and 'Amazing Race' star Boston Rob, along with Dennis Anderson, the creator and driver of monster truck Gravedigger.

The 10-part series features the two trouble-making guys circumnavigating the globe, using 80 different modes of travel without repeating any one vehicle.

A dune buggy? Check. A canoe? Check. An ostrich? Uh, check.

Jimmy Fallon took things casual on 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC) to talk to the top three finalists from 'Survivor: Redemption Island.' They sat around a fake campfire with Howie Mandel to talk about their experience on the island.

Winner Rob Mariano likened the social aspect of 'Survivor' to what Fallon does on his show every night. "You have guests that come on," he explained. "And some of them, you know maybe you don't like 'em so much, but you gotta play nice."

He then told Howie Mandel that he'd be the first one voted off, "with the whole germ thing."

Rob Mariano finally won something last night when his was the last torch left lit on 'Survivor.' Until then, Rob's wife Amber was the only 'Survivor' winner in the household. (They also lost as a couple on 'Amazing Race 7.') Today on 'The Early Show' (weekdays, 7AM on CBS), Mariano talked about how it wasn't really the $1 million purse that motivated him to win, it was more a matter of being able to stand tall in his own house.

"For the past seven years, I've had to hear it in my own house," said Mariano. "It wasn't so much about the money -- she's getting the check anyway. But now I'm at least on [a] level playing field with my wife when it comes to winners in the 'Survivor' household."

Could "Boston Rob" Mariano pull off one of the most impressive victories in the history of 'Survivor'? Going into the finale, he looked poised to do just that. Of course, he still had to whittle down his Final Four, contend with whoever returned from Redemption Island and then convince the jury to not be bitter and reward his game play.

From Redemption, he faced the possibility of going up against Matt, who'd spent 29 days there, surviving every single duel up to this point. Mike was well-liked and had dominated even Matt since going there, while Andrea and Grant were members of his own alliance.

Going into this three-hour finale extravaganza for 'Survivor: Redemption Island' (Sun., 8PM ET on CBS), one man has been running this game since Day One. "Boston Rob" Mariano single-handedly orchestrated the elimination of the opposing tribe and managed to keep his own alliance of six strong until the end.

At every turn, he had total control of the game, but toward the end it became more and more difficult to keep control. Ashley and Natalie have been considering their chances without the Rob-father, and there's still that element of Redemption Island, which has four people on the cusp of returning to the game.

'Survivor: Redemption Island' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS) ends with a two-hour finale this Sunday. Going into tonight's episode, there were still a whopping nine people in contention for the top prize, though four of them were on Redemption Island. From there, it was confirmed that only one stood a chance of returning to the game.

Rob Mariano has been in sole charge of this season of 'Survivor' since virtually Day One. He masterminded the massacre and total elimination of the Zapatera tribe, and has orchestrated the demise by blindside of every person who's gone home on Ometepe.

This was a key week for Ralph and Steve, the last remaining members of the original Zapatera tribe. With the "Ometepe Six" standing strong and "Boston Rob" running the show, there was little hope left for them on 'Survivor: Redemption Island' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS).

At the Challenge for the week, Jeff Probst handed the tribe a package to bring with them to Tribal Council. Inside, he promised, was a twist. Twists have notoriously turned this game upside down, but at six-to-two, what could possibly change the fates of the Zapatera?

Steve and Ralph needed to convince several someones from the former Ometepe tribe to flip and take out one of their own. Obviously, Rob would be the smart choice, but he's proven untouchable so far. Could that change?

Rob Mariano is going from 'Survivor' to TV host with the History channel's 'Around the World in 80 Ways.'

'Amazing Race' and 'Survivor' veteran Boston Rob will team up with Dennis Anderson, the creator of the monster truck Gravedigger brand to host the new series. According to History, the two will attempt to travel the world using 80 different modes of transportation, never repeating the same one.

"This series captures History's commitment to highly compelling entertainment within a historical framework," Dirk Hoogstra, senior vice president of development and programming at History, said in a statement. "The dynamic between our two hosts will make for great television, while viewers can journey around the world with them to explore the ingenuity of travel in every era, throughout all stages of technological advances."

The two hosts will use everything from blimps, fighter jets, ostriches and even build their own vehicles to get around the world. At times the two will work as a team, other portions of the journey will be a race.

• 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' is tackling the troubled 'Spider-Man' Broadway musical. The storyline will feature a play with lots of high-flying wire work called 'Icarus.' A person involved in the play is killed in what looks like a stunt gone wrong. There are characters very close to the play who sound an awful lot like Julie Taymore and Bono. [TVLine]

• 'Blue Bloods' showrunners Mitchell Burgess and Robin Green have left the CBS drama. Reports indicate CBS wants to take the show in a more procedural direction. Ken Sanzel left his executive producer post in August after creative tension with Tom Selleck. [Deadline]

Phillip is angry, again. At Boston Rob, again. He said last week that he'd keep his cool and pounce on his teammate competition only at the opportune moment.

But on 'Survivor: Redemption Island' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS), an incident over food has him on edge. The "crispy rice" has been reserved wholly for Rob.

"When we make it, guys, we're all entitled to whatever is made, OK, in equal proportions," says Phillip.

He later tells the camera, "Boston Rob is Boston Rob: He gets deference to everything ... They're sharing his underwear -- the girls -- his socks, his bed. And the first opportunity I have to eliminate him, I will!"

At this point "Boston Rob" Mariano's just having fun with the game of 'Survivor: Redemption Island' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS). He's already got the majority of his tribe in his pocket, and to top it off this week, they actually managed to win a Challenge without the help of the opposing tribe throwing it.

Now Grant thinks he and Rob are part of this tight alliance. He also thinks the two of them have something no one else does.

In the Reward coffee jar, Grant saw the newest clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol. You may recall that Rob already has the Idol, so none of this really matters. But the days are long out there, so why not have some fun?

We're only two weeks in, and already the influences of former players Russel Hantz and Rob Mariano are changing the flow of 'Survivor: Redemption Island' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS). While Russell is sowing discontent in his tribe, Rob is showing a darker side as well this time around.

After last week's crazy ranting at Tribal Council, Phillip Sheppard seemed the obvious choice. But Rob orchestrated a secondary strategy to eliminate a player who couldn't possibly see it coming. And, it was one of their strongest players.

So, what did he do to get on the wrong side of "Boston Rob"?

On 'The Early Show' (weekdays, 7AM ET on CBS), anchor Chris Wragge stirs things up between rivals Rob Mariano and Russell Hantz by reading a quote where Mariano calls Hantz a "hobbit" and threatens to "kick his blank" in the upcoming 'Survivor: Redemption Island.'

"The facts are this," said Hantz. "I've already kicked his blank once before. So, I wouldn't have come back if it would've just been regular people. But, because he says the things he says, it's time for me to kick his blank once again."

CBS announced the final two cast members today for 'Survivor: Redemption Island,' and chances are you've seen them many times before.

The returning castaways joining the latest edition of the long-running reality show are Boston Rob Mariano and Russell Hantz. Rob is returning to compete for the fourth time, while Russell is making his third appearance, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Neither veteran will get immunity, contrary to some spoiler reports online, but host Jeff Probst told EW he doesn't think they'll get the boot right away. "I do not think Russell or Rob will be the first person voted out of this game. Because I think they bring too much experience -- 156 days between the two of them. When you're playing a game, there's a lot to be learned."

"I'm after him. He's after me. May the best man win," a matter-of-fact Russell Hantz said of the power struggle between him and Rob Mariano on Thursday night's episode of 'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains.'

Whether or not the "best" man won is up for debate, but unfortunately for Boston Rob, the revitalized Heroes tribe easily bagged both the "yay, we get to eat" reward and the puzzle challenge for immunity and his Villains were sent to Tribal Council.

With four votes against him, Rob saw his hopes for a first win dashed when Jerri Manthey's new alliance with Russell had her flip on Rob and just like that, the fan favorite was sent packing while the "hobbit on crack" (his pet name for Russell) had somehow maneuvered himself into the power position.

How does all this sit with Boston Rob who, after three times at bat, has to be a little jaded? Here's what he had to say about the season, the ouster and the Russell.

Thanks to March Madness, 'Survivor' fans got their fill a day early when a double elimination episode of 'Heroes vs. Villains' aired Wednesday and sent two players packing; Tyson Apostol became the second ousted "Villain" of the season and the hobbled "Hero," James Clement, limped in the footsteps of four before him.

In a carabiner-through-ropes challenge that had players from both tribes vying for individual immunity, Candice eked out a victory over her fellow heroes -- effectively keeping her neck off the chopping block -- and Boston Rob prevailed, yet again, for the villains.

When the two winners were pitted against each other in the same challenge for a sudden death "hot dogs and all the fixins" reward, Rob triumphed and his band of dastardly bad guys were licking their lips in anticipation of chowing on franks while watching the Heroes throw down at their Tribal Council.
