Tony Soprano's bloody costume auctioned for charity
by Kristin Sample, posted Jun 26th 2008 11:02AM
Yesterday at Christie's in New York, Tony Soprano's costumes went up for auction. You not going to believe how much money a bloody wifebeater goes for these days. One fan of the show paid $43,750 for the outfit pictured to the right: a bloody tank, a stained button down shirt, and pants. The outfit was the one the Jersey mob boss wore when Uncle Junior mistakenly shot him. Also up for bid was a four-piece set containing boxers, a robe, a sleeveless undershirt, and a pair of slippers (a costume Gandolfini donned many times on the show). It took home $21,250. Another robe (the tan one with an "S" monogram that Gandolfini wore in the pilot) went for $13.750. Overall, the iconic mafia boss's clothes brought in over $185,000.
The Sopranos: Kennedy & Heidi

(S06E18) It's been a long time since something on the shocking tip happened and at the same time, I wasn't surprised at all. Tonight, something I certainly thought would go down this season did, but certainly not how I'd have thought. I have a feeling that some of the "old" Tony Soprano might have returned, unfortunately for only three more weeks before this show finishes up.Was this week perfect? By all means not, but taking out a character that has meant something to all the show's fans forever, and showing what looks like an inkling of an ugly finale when it comes to Tony and the New York crew could provide for one of the more fantastic endings, perhaps the one we all deserve after surviving through so many production delays and season holdups.
You can take the actor out of the mob, but...

Man, these actors
from The Sopranos just can't stay out of trouble. In real life, I mean. Now, two more members of the cast have
had separate run-ins with the law. John Ventimiglia, who plays chef Artie Bucco, is charged with drunk driving and drug
possession. Officers pulled him over as he was weaving in and out of traffic in Brooklyn. He had a blood-alcohol level
of .12 (legal limit is .08) and a bag with cocaine residue. He was arraigned yesterday, and today his attorney released
a statement saying that Ventimiglia "feels terrible and embarrassed."HBO using Google Maps to promote Sopranos

HBO
understands the viral power of the internet and is apparently hoping to get in on it with a couple of online promotions
for the upcoming season of The Sopranos, which starts March 12. First, it's paying Google to use its maps to
identify certain parts of New Jersey where key parts of The Sopranos have happened (does that mean we'll know
where Ralphie's head is buried?). Starting February 27th, all you'll have to do is go to Google and type in
"Sopranos Map".HBO.com is also planning an interactive game called Whack a Soprano.
