Fox is looking really bad in this O.J. deal
by Anna Johns, posted Nov 21st 2006 8:34PM
The O.J. Simpson saga isn't quite over. Sure, Fox pulled his interview and cancelled his book about hypothetically killing his wife and her friend, in response to public outrage. But, now Nicole Brown Simpson's family is accusing Fox News Corp. of trying to pay them off. On the Today show this morning, Denise Brown said the company offered her family and Ron Goldman's family "hush money" in exchange for their silence when the book and television interview with O.J. came out. Fox News Corp. denies it of course, only confirming that it did offer the families ALL of the proceeds from the book. How sick is that? The company actually thought the Brown and Goldman families would accept money made off a book that describes the 'hypothetical' killing of their family members. Of course, the families refused the money.By the way, how long do you think it will take for the O.J. Simpson interview to wind up on YouTube?
Two-part interview with OJ Simpson to air on FOX

I think it would do our collective conscience good not to try and figure out why it is OJ Simpson felt it was wise to write a book titled If I Did It, Here's How It Happened. That's like trying to wrap your mind around what happened before the Big Bang: before you know it you've gazed so deeply into your navel that the universe begins to fold in on itself and suddenly you're in limbo chatting with versions of yourself from various parts of time and space. If you want to dive into that particular rabbit hole, go right ahead, but I need to preserve my mind for better things.
O.J.'s pay-per-view special
by Adam Finley, posted May 14th 2006 12:02PM
Many years ago, O.J. Simpson committed one of the most horrible crimes imaginable. Namely, he forever ruined the Naked Gun movies for me. Anyway, the Juice is getting back into the world of wacky comedies with a new pay-per-view special called Juiced, in which he plays Punk'd-style pranks on unsuspecting people. I actually contacted the people who handle the back end for this blog and they informed me there wasn't enough space on the servers for me to list every reason why this is the most horrible idea O.J or anyone else has ever had, but I will mention there's a scene in which he tries to sell the infamous white Bronco he used to escape in after being charged for the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Goldman's father has come out against the scene, describing Simpson as "morally reprehensible." My guess is that the usual "tragedy plus time equals comedy" equation doesn't apply when you're the one most closely associated with the tragedy.TV Squad Hot Topics
