by Stephanie Opella, posted Oct 19th 2011 7:00PM
As a mother of four, Lisa Oz, wife of Dr. Oz and author of the best-selling series 'YOU: The Owner's Manual,' deals with regulating her kids' TV consumption every day. On 'Good Day NY' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) she addressed the issue of how much and what kind of TV kids should be watching, after a study from the American Academy of Pediatricians said that children under two years old should not watch any TV at all.First, they tackled an interview Michelle Obama gave to ivillage, where she talked about letting Sasha and Malia watch the 'Kardashians'. While Oz thought the girls were a bit young for the show, she agreed that he best way to deal with provocative subjects on TV is to ask children what they think about what they're watching. "It can be a precautionary tale. It doesn't have to be an example," she said.
