But don't take our word for it. You can see her in action for yourself -- hunting the wild pigs who roam her property, surfing, riding a motorcycle, hanging out with her longtime boyfriend, Johnny Argent, and her family and hosting famous pals like Sandra Bernhard and Phyllis Diller -- on her new reality show 'Roseanne's Nuts' (premieres Wed., July 13, 9PM ET on Lifetime).

Roseanne Barr, 'Late Show with David Letterman'Roseanne Barr has admitted she was difficult to work with on the set of 'Roseanne,' but she was also right about its potential as a hit show. She talked to David Letterman on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:37PM ET on CBS) about the "hit list" she compiled of naysayers who didn't believe in the show early in its run.

Barr said of the list, "When this show goes to number one, these are the people who's a**** are gonna be canned." She was proven correct right away as the first season wrapped at number two, and the show hit number one in its second year. As for the people on her list?

"The show went to number one and a year later they were all gone and it was just fantastic!" she said.

"I didn't feel a last second jump on stage was appropriate. It was Scotty's moment."

Oprah's Daytime Domination: 13 Talk Shows That Died During Her 25-Year Reign

by Jean Bentley, posted May 24th 2011 11:00AM
Oprah WinfreyOprah Winfrey has managed to stay on the air for a nearly unrivaled 25 years while keeping her show current and fresh. How? That's a mystery we mere mortals may never understand.

But there were several stars who attempted to duplicate the big O's success over the years, all starting with the naming standard no future host would dare to change: 'The [Insert Name of Host] Show.'

Though many managed to last more than a decade each (persistence paid off for Montel Williams, Ricki Lake, Geraldo Rivera and Jenny Jones), no other talk show host has made it to the quarter century mark.

To show you just how big a feat Oprah has accomplished, here's a list of 13 daytime talk shows that came and went during Oprah's tenure, a feature which could also be called Talk Shows that Oprah Killed.

Charlie Sheen, Two and a Half MenCharlie Sheen apparently isn't done making headlines today.

According to TMZ, 'Two and a Half Men' has just chopped four episodes from its production schedule. Following Sheen's Feb. 28 return, the show was scheduled to film eight more episodes to complete its eighth season.

Crew members are outraged, TMZ reports, with one worker telling the site, "We've been left in the dark and now we have no pay for four episodes and all we hear is that Chuck is saying, 'They're not my problem.'"

To his credit, sources told TMZ that Sheen said he would work beyond the scheduled wrap date, plus weekends, to make sure all eight episodes are filmed.

'Roseanne' Cast: Where Are They Now?

by Kelly Woo, posted Feb 14th 2011 5:30PM
Roseanne Oprah Roseanne Barr returned to 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' last week for the first time in 12 years and resolved her "feud" with Oprah (or, more like discovered there was no feud).

Barr believed Winfrey was "pissed" at her for various crimes, including: their difference in opinion during the 2008 presidential campaign; cheating during an arm-wrestling match on Barr's talk show; and Barr's tendency to "piss everybody off sooner or later." Winfrey was clueless about these offenses, and the two buried the non-existent hatchet.

Winfrey also created a virtual 'Roseanne' cast reunion, interviewing John Goodman by satellite from New York and featuring segments from the rest of the Conner family.

'Roseanne,' which ran for nine seasons from 1988 to 1997, was a sarcastic but genuine look at a working-class family. The show was an instant hit and an awards magnet, but its popularity never led it to water down its stark portrayal of the Conners' money troubles or avoid taboo subjects such as teen sex, birth control, alcoholism, abortion and domestic violence.

Roseanne Barr Never 'Stabbed' Tom Arnold, Counters Lie with Harsh Verbal Jab (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Jan 13th 2011 7:30AM
Roseanne Barr Talks Tom Arnold on 'Lopez Tonight'Inquiring minds (instigated by George Lopez) wanted to know: Did Roseanne Barr really stab Tom Arnold? The host of 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS) said that Arnold claimed he and Barr were offered $10 million by Jenny Craig to lose weight together. "It's already a lie," Barr interjected.

Supposedly, as Barr snacked on some cookies in the middle of the night, Arnold grabbed the bag from her. "You grabbed the knife, and stabbed him in the chest," said Lopez. "That is such a lie," said Barr. "He should stick to what he does best -- taking pills and hosting sobriety events."

Roseanne Barr's Favorite Part About Writing Books Is the Drinking (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jan 13th 2011 5:58AM
Roseanne Barr, 'Chelsea Lately'Roseanne Barr stopped by 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM on E!) and chatted with Chelsea Handler about what it's like writing books as a comedian. Handler feels her ADD makes it hard for her to focus and she finds the whole process "really nightmarish."

Barr agreed, but also sees a positive side. "You get to drink a lot, so that's cool," she said.

As she explained it, you drink vodka during the writing of the book, "and then you go blank after five minutes and then you call up people and say, 'You know what your ****ing problem is?'"

It may not do much for getting the book done on time, but it certainly makes the whole experience fun. Plus, the next morning -- okay, the next afternoon -- you can get up and read what you wrote the night before as if for the first time.

Roseanne Thinks She Was a Bad Parent (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jan 11th 2011 7:04PM
Roseanne Barr talks being a parent on 'The Talk'Roseanne Barr was a good parent to Sara Gilbert on 'Roseanne.' But when Gilbert, co-host of 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS), asked Barr about her real life parenting skills, Barr was frank in admitting that she came up short in raising her five kids. Gilbert asked if Barr thought she had been a good parent, and Barr said no.

"No, I don't think I was a good mother a lot of the time," said Barr, noting that she sometimes did the right thing by accident. When co-host Julie Chen asked why Barr was down on herself about being a mother, Barr said, "Because it was just too damned hard to be a good mother and I didn't even understand what 'good mother' meant, I guess."

Barr went on to say that we put too much emphasis on making children behave, and that parents should just have fun with them and try to be their friend. Which may have inadvertently answered the question all over again.
