Roseanne Can't Make It Through One Exercise Session on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 12th 2011 12:55AM
Fans know that Roseanne Barr has been struggling with her weight since she became a star -- and even before that -- but now she's under doctor's orders to do something about it on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (Fri., 10PM ET on Lifetime). However, exercise and Roseanne have never gone well together."I hate the fact that I'm supposed to act like I like it," Roseanne told her smiling trainer. "That's not gonna work for me. It feels like s***. I can't lie through it."
And then, she decided she'd quite simply had enough and walked inside declaring that she was done and the trainer needed to be fired. As Roseanne pulled off and drove away, the trainer rounded the building and asked, "Is she coming back?"
Roseanne Struggles With a Speech on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 25th 2011 5:30PM
Roseanne Barr's story is one that might inspire young girls like the ones she was charged with speaking to on Wednesday's episode of 'Roseanne's Nuts' (Wednesdays, 9PM on Lifetime). But according to her boyfriend Johnny Argent, the first draft of that story probably looks pretty ugly.Argent tried to help Roseanne with the speech, but she resisted him much of the way. "I'm giving a speech tonight to girls, and who better to help me write that speech than a 62-year-old cranky curmudgeon such as John Argent," she said.
Argent wondered how Roseanne fought her way to the top in show business with such poor writing skills. "Sometimes when I look over Roseanne's early drafts of her writing I think, how could somebody that smart come up with this?" he said. "I'm learning disabled, for sure, replied Roseanne. "But you know, that's why I'm smart."
Despite her cursing him out and a technical snafu that threatened a meltdown, their arguments actually seemed kind of sweet, in a curmudgeonly sort of way.

Greg Cipes is an actor, voice actor, and musician, but right now he's living in a tent in Roseanne Barr's yard on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (Wed., 9PM ET on Lifetime). While Barr seems to be mostly amused by his antics and out-there personality, the same can't be said for her son, Jake, and domestic partner, Johnny."Greg represents everything I hate about people," Jake said.
The two couldn't even describe him properly, instead stating that you have to see him for yourselves to understand him.

She learned a few basic moves and then she was ready to get into the water, but not before taking delight at her friend Greg's swim attire. "Look at your underwear," she laughed.
Roseanne Sings the National Anthem, in Tune, at a Little League Game (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 21st 2011 8:45AM
Anyone who was alive in 1990 remembers when Roseanne Barr sang 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at a Major League Baseball game. The rendition was horrible, she was out of tune, and then she wrapped by spitting and grabbing her crotch. So it was with some nervousness that we watched her agree to tackle it again on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (Wed., 9PM ET on Lifetime).
What happened, though, turned out to be a genuine suprise. Granted, this was for a Little League softball game, so we knew she would be on her best behavior, but we didn't expect her to be on-key.

Julie Chen brought up the topic, asking Barr if she'd ever consider a reunion, and she replied with an enthusiastic "of course."Barr said she misses the show's audience, writing jokes, and most of all, the people. "Well, I just miss all the fun we had," said Barr, addressing Gilbert. "The first year was a harsh year, but after that -- and that's all anybody ever talks about, too -- but after that, it was just a blast, all the time, with the crew, the writers, the producers. Roseanne Barr is doing much better now, thank you very much. She told Chelsea Handler on 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!) that when she first got famous, "I kind of lost my mind. You know, like Charlie Sheen."One of the things that helped push her mental state toward unhealthy was constant media interference. It may not have been as intense or immediate as what we see celebrities put up with today, but it was pretty intrusive nonetheless.
"I'm so happy to see Rupert Murdoch's stuff crumbling," Barr said. "When he came to our country, I was one of his first targets. He tapped my phones and people went through my garbage, and all that kind of stuff does kind of drive you crazy."
Roseanne Barr Goes to a Healer for Her Temper Issues on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 14th 2011 3:42AM
'Roseanne's Nuts' (Wed., 9PM ET on Lifetime) is a doubly appropriate title for Roseanne Barr's new reality show. It chronicles her experiences trying to run a 2,000-acre macadamia nut farm in Hawaii, but it's also showing her true self, warts and all.At one point, after going into a verbal tirade against some trees she was trying to knock down, Roseanne said to her boyfriend Johnny Argent, "Not being able to control your temper is kind of a curse. It has gotten me in a lot of trouble and ruined a lot of good things in my life."
Barr's temper on the set of 'Roseanne' is the stuff of Hollywood legend, so she decided to take her problem to a local healer, who promised to burp out Barr's "stuck energy."
