Salesgenie.com: "Ching Ching and Ling Ling"
by JJ Hawkins, posted Feb 3rd 2008 8:55PM
Ching Ching and Ling Ling panda bears are having trouble getting customers into Ling Ling's Furniture Shack. What's the logical thing to do? That's right, call the Panda Psychic who suggests that the Pandas contact Salesgenie.com for 100 free sales leads.
Six months later, the bamboo furniture store is back in business thanks to the Panda Psychic's suggestion.
I guess this is supposed to be clever because these are Panda Bears and they are selling bamboo furniture, (which Ching Ching rather amusingly chomps on during the spot).

SalesGenie.com: "ACME Widgets"

The first animated cartoon wasn't very good. As far as I know, SalesGenie.com is a newcomer to the Super Bowl. Acme Widget boss, Hank Bulleymonger (funny, right?) comes down on his worst salesmen that he needs to double his output or he's fired. SalesGenie.com to the rescue! He gets 100 free sales leads and becomes the Salesman of the year. Never mind that the worst salesman of the year is middle eastern man with seven kids, and any controversy that may or may not bring, the bottom line is it was a lame commercial.

Huh?
Not sure I get what SalesGenie does, but then again I haven't been involved in sales and marketing for quite some time. You go to their site and you can get sales leads? What type of sales leads? Any industry, any business? How do you qualify those leads? Are they up to date?
Then again, if I'm asking the question and I'm not even into sales anymore, I'm sure a lot of business types will be going over to their web site and checking out exactly what this is all about. Is the ad effective? If you want salespeople to go to your site, I guess it is.
