Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas Bicker Like an Old Married Couple (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 12th 2011 2:00AM
There is an evident closeness between Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek in interviews. But perhaps they are starting to get on one another's nerves with all the press they've been doing for 'Puss in Boots.' On 'The Graham Norton Show' (Sat., 10PM ET on BBC America) the pair were bickering like an old married couple. It got so bad that fellow guest Jimmy Carr had to interject a few times, finally offering up a solution. Hayek kept teasing Banderas for his claims -- which were true, like training with the Spanish Olympic swordfighting team for his role as Zorro -- and his accent.
Salma Hayek Plays Beer Pong with Fallon, Suggests Tequila Instead (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 27th 2011 6:00AM
Jimmy Fallon loves to play games with his guests on 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC), and one of his favorites is beer pong. Salma Hayek, on the other hand, had never played the game before her appearance on the show, but she's definitely a fan.Not once, but twice, she said "I love this game!" while playing. She did, however, suggest upping the stakes considerably by drinking tequila instead of beer the next time around. That should make the later rounds far less successful, while way more hilarious at the same time.
Letterman Is Mesmerized by Salma Hayek's Earrings on 'Late Show' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 25th 2011 2:30AM
David Letterman was positively transfixed by Salma Hayek's snake earrings on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS). "I've never seen anything that exotic," he said. "That's like Cleopatra kind of stuff."When he asked how she takes them off, Hayek explained and then asked him to try taking them off so he could see. Letterman was clearly nervous at the prospect ... or maybe it was Hayek leaning-in so close to him. Either way, she was ready for him.
"All the things you've taken off on a woman and you cannot take an earring off?" she asked.

Salma Hayek Explains 'Extra' Snake Incident on 'Late Show' (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Jun 22nd 2010 5:25AM
It was the snake scare heard round the world -- well, sort of. Earlier this month Salma Hayek appeared on 'Extra' with 'Grown Ups' costars Maya Rudolph and Maria Bello to talk about the movie. In the middle of filming, a 5-foot snake slithered toward them. Hayek crawled (in stilettos) onto the arm rests of their chairs and screamed, "Somebody do something!"
"There were like 40 people around us, ... all these tough guys," explained Hayek on the 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS). "They ran! The minute they saw the snake, they were gone. It was coming towards us and her head was up and she was hissing ... The macho man who saved us was Maria's hairdresser."
What to Watch: April 12 - 18

Glee - Tuesday April 13, 9:25 pm, Global/Fox
It's back! The all-singing all-dancing insanity that 'Idol' used to justify keeping Michael Lynche on the show is back for sweeps and everyone is very excited (except me, because I am the one person in the universe who doesn't see the appeal). Will is finally single, but instead of jumping Emma's bones like he's been waiting his whole life to do it, he takes some time to think about his new situation. And just when Rachel and Finn seemed to be getting started on something real, she gets sidetracked by a fellow called Jesse St. James. Oh honey, no! Any variation on Jesse James is bad news. Trust.

Why the frak was Salma Hayek wearing a Battlestar Galactica T-shirt on 30 Rock?
by Mike Moody, posted Apr 24th 2009 11:04AM

I want answers, people.
Last night we found out that Elisa, Salma Hayek's character on 30 Rock, was hiding a dark secret.
That secret (which I won't reveal) was weird and unexpected. But seeing Salma wearing a "What the Frak?!" T-shirt – complete with the Battlestar Galactica logo on the back, I might add – on the show was even weirder and more unexpected.
It was also way cool, and probably the most random moment in an episode full of random moments (like that Brian Williams cameo). I loved it. It made me kooko for Choco Puffs. But can someone explain it to me?

(S03E19) "It's not product placement, I just like it!" - Liz, wearing a SlanketOK, can we settle this once and for all? Liz Lemon/Tina Fey is not an unattractive woman. I don't care if she's wearing a rumpled TGS sweatshirt or a casual jacket or has glasses on or has her hair tied back or if she's wearing a potato sack or even a track suit. There's no way a snooty jewelry store clerk would look at her and doubt that Alec Baldwin/Jack would marry her.
Yes, she even looks great in a Slanket. Interesting they didn't go with the Snuggie, but also great that they didn't go with the Snuggie (and kudos to Fey for the above shout-out to viewers).

30 Rock: Larry King

(S03E12) "Elisa? I was about to do the whole run to the airport thing, like Ross did on Friends and Liz Lemon did in real life." - JackAm I wrong or did something look really weird with Tracy's interview with Larry King? There were a lot of shots of King alone and Tracy alone and only a handful of them together, from odd angles. And it kinda looked like Tracy wasn't even on the same set as King, like they actually did it with special effects, the way they used to have two Patty Dukes on the screen at once. Maybe King and Morgan couldn't film together because they're on different coasts?
Anyway, that's just an observation I had about this episode, which I think was the best of the season so far.
Did 30 Rock go too far with the product placement last night?
by Bob Sassone, posted Feb 13th 2009 1:35PM
A follow-up to my review of last night's 30 Rock.Did they go too far with the product placement last night? Several web sites today are talking about it, and some of the commenters here last night mentioned it too. The show didn't just have a McDonald's bag in the foreground while two characters were talking, the fast food chain was prominently featured throughout the show. A scene was set at McDonald's (Jack and Elisa getting back together), the couple actually had a discussion about what makes the McFlurry so great, and there was a commercial for McDonald's during the show too.
Did this go to far over the edge and make it a McDonald's ad with some 30 Rock plot thrown in or are you OK with it? Personally, it didn't really bother me for some reason. I'm usually OK with product placement if the show is good enough.
Hmmm...the singer that Jenna impersonated was Michael...MacDonald!
30 Rock: St. Valentine's Day

(S03E11) "Nice ... you mean like stew?" - Liz to Jack, about what dinner to make DrewOK, I think it's officially time to call out an APB on Josh and the rest of the writing staff. They're missing again this week. Not many supporting characters at all this week. Even Jenna had only one quick (though very funny) scene, while Frank was reduced to just handing off one of the subplots to Kenneth. I really want to see this show get back to some episodes about TGS and NBC and the inner working of the show. It's like TGS is on summer hiatus or something.
Having said that, this episode was quite good.
30 Rock: Generalissimo

(S03E10) "He gets a golf magazine, so you know he's not gay or poor." - Jenna, about DrewWhen I saw the promos for this episode, I audibly groaned. A subplot with an actor on a Telemundo soap opera who just happens to be a dead ringer for Jack? Alec Baldwin wearing a uniform and doing an accent? Ugh, I didn't think it would work at all, and with all of the over-the-top surreal subplots that have been on the show this season, I thought this would be the worst one of all.
But you know what? The subplot worked.
