Lynda Carter Wants Sandra Bullock to Don Wonder Woman's Tights
by Danny Gallagher, posted Mar 26th 2010 6:04PM
...and so do I, except I'm pretty sure Mrs. Carter is referring to a new incarnation of her famous TV show. TV's original red, white and blue-clad beauty told a morning talk show in Los Angeles that she wants Mrs. Bullock to play the title role in a big screen remake of 'Wonder Woman,' the TV show that made her famous.
Carter said she believes Bullock is perfect for the role because she has "exactly the kind of personality" and that she's also "strong and feminine. And Wonder Woman has to be accessible". She also dismissed rumors that claimed she said Bullock was too old for the role.
Me? If she gets the role, I just want to see her kick the ever-living snot out of some Jesse James bad-guy look-a-like. Jesse James is such a dead man now.

Another Woman Claims to Have Slept With Jesse James (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Mar 25th 2010 8:01PM
First Tiger Woods and now Jesse James. What is happening with celebrities in America?Sandra Bullock's famous husband has been in hot water since it was revealed that he allegedly cheated on the actress. Now, to make matters worse, 'Inside Edition' (weekdays, syndicated) has the scoop that James has allegedly had an affair with yet another woman.
Michelle "Bombshell" McGee (who has our favorite name ever) was the first woman to come forward and claim that she had an affair with James. Since then, other woman have come forward. And now, on 'Inside Edition,' a model named Brigitte Daguerre alleges that she slept with Bullock's husband as well. According to the story, Daguerre slept with James four times, and exchanged 195 text messages and e-mails with him.
Cheating on your spouse is a terrible idea. Leaving endless traceable text messages and e-mails about an affair seems like an even worse idea. What do you think?

Betty White on Sandra Bullock: 'Let Her Work It Out' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 23rd 2010 9:37PM
Betty White has lived a lot of years and weathered a few storms along the way. So we should probably listen to her wise words about pal Sandra Bullock's marital woes."We're all deeply, deeply saddened," White said on 'Entertainment Tonight' (weekdays, syndicated). "At such a high point in her life, it's tough ... I love her with all my heart. That's one of the greatest human beings on the planet ... but the less other people have to say about it and let her work it out ... the better."
Will the tabloids leave it alone? No, but the best we can hope is to give Bullock and husband Jesse James space to deal with things on their own.
As for her thoughts, Bullock says, "There's so many different ways to cheat ... I think it's sometimes far worse to emotionally cheat." Look for that interview on 'Entertainment Tonight' tomorrow.

ABC Family Gets 'The Blind Side' Rights
by Danny Gallagher, posted Mar 9th 2010 8:45PM
A happy story that took home Oscar gold just got a little happier. Fresh on the heels of Sandra Bullock's Best Actress win, ABC Family has announced that they have purchased the TV rights to 'The Blind Side.' They will air the film starring Bullock, Tim McGraw and Quinton Aaron sometime in 2012.
ABC Cable Network's executive veep Tom Zappala called it "a perfect fit for ABC Family," and I'm inclined to agree. Just don't try and turn it into a TV series remake that lasts longer than the actual time line of the story.

The film -- which made over $250 million, domestically -- will premiere sometime in 2012.
Ross Mathews Hits the Red Carpet at the Oscars (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 9th 2010 5:25AM
We'd like to have Ross Mathews' brain for a day, just to see what it's like to be so happy all the time. He was having a blast interviewing stars on the red carpet at the Oscars for 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC).And the stars didn't quite know what to think of him either, or maybe they were just trying to think of something equally witty to say. The look on Robert Downey, Jr.'s face when Matthews suggested he play him in a movie was priceless.

Oscar Winners Christoph Waltz, Jeff Bridges, Mo'Nique, Sandra Bullock on 'Oprah' (VIDEO)
by Harley W. Lond, posted Mar 8th 2010 7:04PM
Academy Award actor and actress winners chatted about their Oscar ceremony experiences with Oprah Winfrey on Monday's 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' (weekdays, syndicated).Best Supporting Actor Christoph Waltz admitted to Winfrey that he was "more nervous than ever before. Because it is the Academy Awards. I blanked out completely. I hardly recognized my name." The he told Winfrey that his 5-year-old daughter has been dressing his awards, making little installations with them. "She's really gonna enjoy dressing this guy," Winfrey said.
Winfrey asked Best Actor Jeff Bridges what the past 12 hours was like. "Like a kid's magic slate," he said. "Whoosh." Then he went to on to talk about his parents presence, which he has alluded to at several awards shows. "I felt my folks," he said. "They were all over the place."
Best Supporting Actress Mo'Nique's homage to the great actress Hattie McDaniel (the first black woman to get a Best Supporting Actress nod, for 'Gone With the Wind' in 1939) went a little beyond the ordinary. "Last night was really special cause I could hear her whispering in my ear," Mo'Nique said. And on Sunday, while she was going through hair and makeup, there was a knock at her door, and someone delivered a flower and a letter from someone who was a friend with McDaniel's family. Coincidence?
And, finally, Winfrey brought up the by-now-famous Sandra Bullock-Meryl Streep buss that Best Actress winner Bullock mentioned on stage Sunday night. "We have a thing," Bullock quipped. Actually, Bullock said, "you just feel in this business that they pit women against each other ... and I'm so tired of it ... and i said, 'how do we defuse this?' I'm gonna kiss her."

Vanessa Williams Bashes 'The Blind Side' on 'The View' (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 8th 2010 1:30PM
'The Blind Side' may have earned several Academy Award nominations and a Best Actress win for Sandra Bullock last night, but Vanessa Williams is clearly no fan of the movie. Williams said on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated) that the film, which depicts a homeless African-American youngster who is adopted by an affluent white family, does little to improve race relations. Williams argued that film only reinforces the notion that African-Americans need whites in order to succeed. "Here's another white family that has saved the day," she said, calling the film "another black story" in which "a white person comes in and lifts them up."

Right Now on Cinematical

The folks at our sister site, Cinematical, are working hard to give you news and reviews of the best -- and worst -- the silver screen has to offer. Here are some of their musings on the latest blockbusters, indies, and everything in between:
- I would have an open bar and eliminate all montages other than the "In Memoriam." What would you do if you produced the Oscars?
- Not only is Cinematical live-blogging the ceremony, but they give you everything you need for Oscar night.
- Sandra Bullock is awesome. Not only did she show up to accept her Razzie award for 'All About Steve,' but she gave a hilarious speech and gifted the entire audience with DVDs of the film.
- I don't think I've ever seen 'St. Elmo's Fire,' but here's how you can watch it for free.
- Cinematical wants to know what films have inspired you to take a trip?
